Hello, one or two of you may know of me from lotf, but, i had to change my name cause there was already a drake, i'd like to know how to make a char... it's alot more confusing than lotf...

Hey, Jacob. Welcome to the site.
To answer you, making a character isn't really that difficult. Just follow the Character Templates provided for you in each section, fill out the information and presto. Character application. Also be sure to read through the character guides posted in each section (especially for Force Users), as they contain useful information on how to go about making your character.

since the recent rule change, i would suggest just NPCing a character out for a while until you get his bones structured the way you want it. then write him up in a formal application.
just a suggestion though. take it or leave it.

I came by this place as a result of talking to a friend of mine. Ya'll might know her. Just look to the top of the page if you don't!
Yeah. Lady Vici Karke, known as Tex on another forum that I am on with her, pointed me in this general direction. I liked what I saw and I joined up.
I kinda like the system I'm seeing so far, but it must be hell on the staff, from what I can tell. Sounds to me like ya'll might need a coder to make your lives just a wee bit easier. Unfortunately, I do not fall into that category. Yet....
Anyway, just have one question...how do our first characters get anything? We have no money to buy things when we start, so how do we, say, buy a ship for our first character?

I am very sorry that we haven't responded to the post here, but I'll try to make up for it. As far as I know, you get credits as you post (maybe, I'm not an admin, so I wouldn't know...) and equipment is reasonable to have, so long as you have a story to back it up(a good one, if you want good equipment) but ships, I think, are required to be bought with the credits you see when you click "rpg stats". Do not take my word as being right, I'll have to get it approved by one of the people a bit more knowlegable(like mik, or drake)
