The thief looked over at Nisha, able to see the uneasy look on her face. The thief hadn't heard much from Nisha honestly, but based on her presence, she could detect that she played for team red just like Sidonus. When she spoke there was an uncanny similarity to her voice and Tess' voice. The imperial accent and everything.
"You're worried about someone... Aren't you?" She asked her. "Someone very close to you..." She added, as she turned away. The Mirialan teenager seemed to care a lot more than Sidonus did. She didn't need to be a force user to be a quick study in psychology. Studying human behavior was one of the things that made her a good thief.
"I overheard you in the other room. Forgive me, it is hard to ignore conversations when you're in a cage waiting to be dissected. But... I heard that the Jedi stole something from you." She told her.
"I'm a career thief. I could help you... I can show you which potions from in here can combine to turn a person invisible. I've stolen them and used them from time to time. You're not going to be able to save your friend from the Jedi if they're in plain view. Just a bit of advice."

A hauntingly familiar voice spoke from her left, causing Nisha's attention to abruptly snap to the thief. She stared the Mirialan girl down for a second through the bars of her holding cell. A stern scowl creased her features as the girl claimed know what was on her mind. When the claim came that she could be of use to her though, Nisha scoffed the suggestion off with a half-hearted chuckle.
"I think I'll take my chances alone." She said, pacing down the hall a bit further. "Besides," she dragged her fingertips across the bars of the cell, her nails clicking off the steel, "you don't seem like much of a thief to me."
Nisha paused at the end of the cell, a thoughtful look washing over her before she turned to face the girl again. Maybe she could help her in another way.
"What is your name?" She asked, an almost wistful curiosity in her words. It was a ploy of course, she could care less what the girl's name was. But she needed to build a little trust with her before going much farther.

"When I'm not playing against a stacked deck I'm an excellent thief." She countered. "I got away from the person I stole from... he never suspected a thing. What I am bad at, apparently, is avoiding magical bounty hunters that have days or weeks to figure out my habits and hiding place. You try going one day without your powers, witch, and see if you remember how to be a normal girl. There's only one place worth stealing from around here and I got away with it at least half a dozen times." She told her with arms crossed behind the cell.
"Truth be told, I denounced my real name a long time ago... what does it matter? I doubt you go by your real name..."

Go a day without her powers? Nisha could recount an entire life before she even had an inkling of understanding about the Force. And it was miserable. The streets of Metellos hadn't been kind to her. In fact, they very nearly killed her.
Her anger boiled as the memories from her childhood came crashing through again. All of the destitution, the begging and scavenging for scraps left behind by a world that was too selfish to care. Nisha scarcely had the willpower or the inclination to get into a petty argument with the thief about who's life was worse, partly because she hated dwelling on her own past.
A glint of anger flashed in Nisha's eyes at the memories, and at the thief for prodding them out into the open again. But she quickly dispelled her emotions with an agitated sigh, sending the ruminations back to their rightful place in the past.
"Truth be told, I denounced my real name a long time ago... what does it matter? I doubt you go by your real name..."
Nisha nodded to herself on that comment. The girl was right, she had given up her birth name years ago. There was so much about it that signified weakness to her anymore.
"Fair enough." She said, her tone disguising a hint of irritation. "In that case, girl, perhaps you could be of use to me in another way. You would earn your freedom... after a time. But all that I would require of you in the interim would be to follow directions without question. Is that something you think you can do?"

"You really think I'm going to turn down an offer to not be choked with my own intestines? Seriously, the guy is a complete psycho..." She told her, her accent had some humor to it but she was legitimately scared to death of Sidonus. "Out with it witch, what are we going to do?" She asked, eagerly. After they were done whatever Nisha wanted then perhaps she could hitch a ride with the older woman and go to a better neighborhood where her talents would yield more promising results.

Nisha briefly shared in the thief's grim humor, letting a thin smile slip out at her comments about Sidonus. He was twisted, there was no getting around that, and the image of him strangling someone to death with their own guts wasn't all that far fetched.
"Out with it witch, what are we going to do?"
Nisha's mood changed abruptly back into an icier demeanor. Her eyes seemed to darken as a pensive look washed over her. The thief was exactly as desperate as she had hoped. Good.
"You're going to be my leverage. At least until the Jedi returns with my property." She said. "but in order to do that, we need to get you by Sidonus. But how..."
Nisha resumed her pacing, walking slowly back and forth in front of the holding cell, a finger tapping absently on the lightsaber at her side as her mind drifted in thought. Sidonus wouldn't just let the thief go, not after his pride had been wounded by her. A brief glance back at the Mirialan almost sent a chill up her spine as Nisha imagined what he had in store fr her. It wasn't going to be pretty, that much was painfully obvious.
But the girl was fairly valuable to her. Had she something to barter with, maybe she could convince Sidonus to release her into her custody. But what would a Sith like him value beyond another test subject?
"Well... a certain holocron might be useful." She mused to herself, a pang of frustration and anger at realizing the Jedi must have taken it when the captured her ship. Her mind drifted briefly to her belongings - her lightsaber, the holocron... her Tuk'atas.
Oh, if the Jedi had so much as harmed an inch of hair on their hides, they would pay dearly. Nisha clenched her hands at the thought before calmer emotions prevailed and she returned to her more immediate concerns.
"One step at a time, Nisha." She said, feeling a bit foolish for talking to herself. But it helped nonetheless as her attention gravitated back onto the thief.
She couldn't used the Force to trick Sidonus, he'd detect that in an instant. A medically induced coma might work, but she had no way of knowing which solutions to mix to get the proper effect without outright killing the girl.
Of course, she could always just... kill Sidonus once he had finished his work. But that might be foolish. Knowing him, he was planning some elaborate torture for Decon that would require an instruction manual and a degree in medical science to understand.
Letting out an agitated sigh, Nisha turned her search for answers over to the thief. Maybe she had a way around this. After all, she had managed to slip by Sidonus before.
"Do you have any suggestions? You of all people must know what it takes to pull the wool over Sidonus' eyes."

"He's really not that observant. You have no obvious reason for releasing me. Why would he even suspect you?" She asked with a shrug. "In all honesty I'm probably not all that important to the crazy bastard... but that won't stop him from mopping the floor with my entrails, will it?" She asked. She shook her head. "What if I just walked by in your robes?" She asked. "Then I can come back with the invisible potion, and give you some and you can leave too?"

OOC:
As I am getting unbelievably bored with this thread, I'm just going to explain what happens and power through to the end...
Sidounus works his evil Sith magic on poor, hapless Decon and implants a nefarious tracking device in him that is attuned with the Force and imbued with the Dark Side. The device will allow Nisha to keep tabs on him from just about anywhere in the known galaxy (and also manipulate it to inflict terrible suffering on our helpless Jedi victim.). Any attempts made by Decon to remove the device will undoubtedly kill him (because, well, we're dealing with Sith here).
Blah, blah, blah past more boring conversations and...
Nisha takes the now enslaved Decon to a hangar bay where she pays the LT (Roku's guy, who he gave me permission to powerplay) to dump him off at some random place in the galaxy, entirely unaware of the fate that will be awaiting him. After LT departs with his new mission, Nisha departs for new horizons.
Meanwhile, Sidonus is back at his lab. He had heard the LT mention the former Emperor in passing during his first encounter with Nisha. Sidonus, genuinely intrigued, decides to depart Metellos and begin his own search for the Dark Lord in earnest. Oh, he also takes that annoying little Mirialan thief with him. Why? Because he's evil and she stole from him and, well... he needs a test subject, er... servant from time to time.
And that is more or less how the whole thread wraps up.
This may seem unorthodox, I know. But, frankly, I have far more interesting plot lines planned, and this was just slowing it all down to a crawl (if that). Why did I even bother with this thread then?
... Meh
Seemed like a good idea at the time.
But anyway... onward!
