I spoke with Cain at great length over the weekend above something we had been discussing for a long time. I know its hard to let go of something that we've spent many years on. I myself has been here for is it 7 years now? Man time has flown by. Well all good things come to an end.

Yes you guess it right, the BHOD will be closing down for good. Me and Cain agreed that it would be best if everyone here moved onto more active sites on the internet instead of 'clinging to the past'. We've had a great run at stealing eachother's robotic pinkies, blowing up planets, and unleashing the Anemos Virus planet wide for the umpteenth time.

Mik, Drake, and Yes... even you roku, thanks for trying to keep the site alive but you guys have plenty of boards and have seen many of them die over the years. I hold a cup up to you for trying to keep the forum going. Thanks for all your hard work and perseverance.

If anyone needs to get topics or write up of their character's off the site, you still have time. Cain said he would hold off until about the 10th. Then we are going to delete the site, so back up anything you still want before then.

On another note, I will reveal one fact that as always bugged me since Grandseiguer's disappearance. He predicted that the site would close on this very day. I can say we kept trying to keep the site alive...... BUT WE COULDN'T!

Goodbye BHOD, and farewell! I'll still be around for a bit but I'm moving onto a new RP site based on my personal realm that I have worked on since High School. Hopefully one day I'll make the setting into a book. Cheer's Mates!

You know I’m racing with you to see which one of us will truly be here when the lights go out Zilf. It’s not fair if you’re the one shutting the lights off though.

Anyway, do we have to delete the site? I’m going to backup as much as I can before the 10th but you never know when I might think of something I posted ages ago and want to refer back to it. I still have the original site bookmarked and use it all the time.

Isn’t there a way to disable all posting and not allow any new members to let it stand as an example to generations to come of what a RP Site should be?

The BHOD still gets a lot of hits on google so I didn’t want to take up traffic to an empty and dead site. We see those people in the Cbox come by and go. I didn’t want to capture traffic that might go to other sites similar to this one.

Yes, that site is my personal site but it isn’t new. I’ve only told my friends about it so they could try RPing in my world. I’m shifting my focus back to it for now, it died off more when we started focusing on DnD games every weekend. Planning on reviving it here soon, though I’m more prone to letting people I know RP in it than random strangers.

There is a way we can back up all the topics on the site, I’ll need to discuss with Cain about the old site. I don’t have the admin password for that site and hopefully he still remembers that one. I’ve grabbed most of the stuff I want off the old site and this afternoon I’ll be working on grabbing a few things I like from this one.

Now this is what I hate. You and Cain always make decisions like this, mostly without consulting the rest of the members. It would have been nice if it had been called to a vote. I know I don't really post on here now, but still. I mean, sure it is not very lively now but it could bounce back, forums do that. Could we instead transfer the adminship? I would say it should go to the most active member.

my vote would be "meh." i like BHOD, I've had fun and all my stuff is here, but your right, it's not that active.

as for disrupting searches or RP traffic i'm sure Bollywood Hits On Demand greatly appreciates you taking the site down.

Yeah I have it to where only people that make accounts can see. It has a lot of old ideas spread throughout it. Again between my friends it has gone down a bit but wouldn’t mind bringing it back. I only told those I knew from my social life like Elifain about it so it has only 11 people. It was mostly just a goose chase since most of you know what this post is actually about and are sworn to secrecy.

But yeah if you want to take a look you’d need to sign up first. My setting is kind of half based off the idea of magic flows from different realms. It’s mostly a fantasy RP site.

Edit: I might need to do some Aesthetic changes. Have to whip out the photoshop again. Been awhile. xD

Well, this is a bit drastic. But if it needs to be done, it needs to be done. I think most everything I'd care to back up is already saved on my computer (thanks to my own neurosis).

It'll be unfortunate to see this place go, but I'll be around when you finally close the doors. It's been great, no place I would have rather learned to RP.
