To an extent, but in the past 15 years they've cranked it up to 11 and then some. All bad guys are decrepit looking, obviously evil people who wear black all the time. Why can't the bad guy be a non force sensitive for once? why can't he actually be charismatic instead of us having to be told he's charismatic?

All the jedi seem to be stamped out in a factory somewhere and all troops, no matter which side they're on, are clones, droids or otherwise absolutly identical to one another.

I'd just like to go on record saying that i believe i am the first person to think of rickrolling the bridge crew of a super star destroyer. This is one of my all time favorite threads, purely for that.

It's not falling apart. I have a feeling kiddies for the next few generations are going to be obsessing on it for some time now. but it's certainly gone from a good story to simply reusing the same images and themes over and over and over again like you've only got one bag of tea leaves. Then they cover it up with cool choreography, lightsabers and computer generated space battles.

They want to make a really good Star Wars MMO? I say they make it like the old school Star Wars Galaxies, where you can only use the force if you play the game for months and even then you might not be able to.

Star wars the old Republic has the potential to become a great MMO, The art style and graphics (in my opinion is really lacking compared to RIFT, Warhammer or hell even Everquest.) Point is that The old republic is most likely going to turn up like another World of Warcraft. Plus it cant hold a torch to Guild Wars 2
