Hyperspace, Tycen Malone's personal Stealth-X headed away from Corellia.
He couldn't believe. The sheer gravity of the situation at hand still hadn't fully penetrated Tycen Malone's conscious. Could he even trust the sight before his eyes. Now it seemed like a lifetime ago, however it had only been moments. As his mind recalled the events which had transpired on Corellia Tycen revolted in the ship as the concept finally sunk in, a putrid mix of slop Malone had digested from earlier that day the rancid brew's odor quickly filled the cockpit granting the sensation to cough another round of the concoction up.
While the urge bested him the physical limitation did not give the force its satisfaction has he gave up one dry heave without success. After the feeling had ran its course Tycen put the vessel on autopilot and fell into his chair more completely easing into the leather seat his mind drifted away as exhaustion set in. Though he didn't intend it the prince slipped into unconsciousness.
The scene flashed back to Corellia has Tycen was face to face with the angel again, whatever it was however, it was not the kind of heavenly visage stories had made it out to be. Pinned down Tycen was sure he'd met his end, that is, until the intervention of two aliens whom accompanied him to the world, where they were, and even if they survived, was a mystery to him now.
The two appeared from nowhere and engaged the creature without a word, or did they speak? The details were blurry. Regardless of the specifics Tycen knew their appearance, coupled with his own failing efforts, proved barely enough time before the unthinkably occurred, or at least Tycen thought it happened, The absence of color mixed with the unusual presence of sound made him think otherwise now, add in the fact that everything seemed to be trumbling he couldn't recall if something had happened.
The sky roared as a flash of red orange filled the space that had once been occupied by dark clouds now disintegrated. A hole seemed to rip through space as an almost too clear image of the mori was shown being split open along with the frigates and the Audere. The very idea that this being was capable of such a feat shook Tycen's core as the revelation of what he lost sunk in. His heart told him to charge and seek vengeance for Tina, but his head said otherwise as he ran away from the trio, The skirran warrior and the beast could fight until it won. Malone's legs took him back to the fighter still sitting several yards away as he retreated.
As he ran a dark voice bleed into his head, one he couldn't recall hearing initially. "It bleeds light and hope! It is such a beautiful sight!" suddenly the memory took a vastly different turn from what had actually happened.
Where he jumped into the cockpit of the stealthX and ran like a coward now Malone could only feel a horrible throbbing pain blistering through his skull like lightning. "Are you thinking of your loved ones? Are you thinking about how you will never see them again?"
The voice raged through his cranium again forcing Tycen to an utter stop only yards from the ship. "Get out of my head!" The scream seemed silent as it felt like no words emptied from his mouth before the prince succumb to the influence of the voice.
"Why do you press on? Aren't you tired of fighting, of the cries of your needy, the screams of your dead?" The words gushed in carrying with them the sickening feeling of loss that Malone experienced when he witnessed the blast.
"Give in to the Darkness!" The voice, once just a unwanted presence, now made its presence fully felt metamorphosing into a scream seemed like enough to split mountains, not to mention his skull.
"Leave me alone!" Tycen cried in retaliation as he dropped on the ground his left shoulder blade crashing into the rocks. Both hands now wrapped around his head as he attempted to defend his mind from the assault the fallen prince called out for his sister Real for help, however, no such assistance came.
"The darkness is inside you! You cannot escape it, it follows you everywhere! Let it consume you!" The rantings continued to press forward into his consciousness assailing its way into every corner of his being until finally he gave it.
"Yes, let those feelings of hate overcome you. They are easier to handle, they can erase the pain. Feed on them. You know what you must do next." The voice taunted him with the knowledge of where he must go, what he must do, with a whisper, one he could only just make out, only one word.
"Rain..."
Springing awake Tycen found the familiar aroma of his vomit from before still coated the recycled air. Ignoring the smell he imputed a series of codes into the nav computer and removed a small computer chip inserting it into the drive. Within moments the ship was on the move and headed toward an actual target, not the last set of coordinates in the fighter.
