Name: Warrior-class assault/recovery vessel
Information:
The Warrior-class assault/recovery vessel is a flexible craft specifically designed for ship to ship operations. Equipped with four heavy docking claws on its ventral hull, thick armor plating and a compliment of turbolasers to help it deal with minor threats, the Warrior makes for an ideal assault ship when capturing or disabling an enemy vessel is the primary objective. Housing a contingent of 200 fully equipped Marines in addition to its permanent operational crew of 800 individuals, the Warrior can latch onto an enemy ship where it can then deploy its Marine forces for the purposes of capturing or destroying the target ship.
Equally, the Warrior is fully capable of assisting allied ships. The ship is equipped with powerful engines that allow it to quickly haul friendly vessels out of the battle area where their crews can then be rescued from the fight.
Speed is the Warrior's greatest asset, able to boost its engine output for several minutes at the cost of shielding and weapons in order to close the gap between itself and enemy ships as quickly as possible. The ship is also equipped with tractor beam emitters to aid it in capturing smaller ships like freighters.
Dimensions:
Length: 300 meters
Width: 60 meters
Height/Depth: 40 meters

Ship Appearance:
Modular in design, the Warrior has a total of 3 sections comprising the length of its hull, with each section housing 4 floors connected by a series of turbolifts and stairwells. Each of these sections were designed to be individualized and can be sealed off from the rest of the ship in the event of a catastrophic hull breach.
The first section is the bow section and it is the most heavily reinforced area of the ship. Located in this area of the ship is the fire control center for its forward facing blister of turbolaser batteries, as well as the operations center for the ship's tractor beam emitters.
The next area is the midship. Here some of the most vital systems are housed such as the bridge, communications relay and life support systems. Also found in the midship section are additional accommodations such as the executive officers quarters, barracks, galley, brig and armory. Though not as heavily armored as the bow of the ship, the midship is the nerve center for the Warrior, and thus the most crucial section. The ship's contingent of escape pods are also found here, flanking both its port and starboard sides. There are enough escape pods provided to ensure that at least 75% of the crew can escape in the event they need to abandon ship.
The last area is the aft section, which houses the ship's engines, hyperdrive, engineering bay and many of the other systems that keep the ship running at optimal capacity. Also located in the aft section is a small hanger capable of holding 2 shuttles for multiple purposes. These shuttles are typically small in nature, used for transporting high ranking officers between ships or serving as private escape vessels for the command staff should the ship need to be abandoned.
Weapon Payload:
Turbolaser batteries: 8 (4 forward firing arc, 2 port, 2 starboard)
Point defense laser cannon batteries: 12 (4 port, 4 starboard, 4 dorsal)
Tractor beam projectors: 2 (ventral)
Defensive Systems:
Outside of its weapon systems, the Warrior relies largely on its combination of speed, armor and shields as its primary methods of defense.
Constructed with a reinforced superstructure that allows the ship to survive collisions with other ships with little or no damage, the Warrior is a rare breed of ship, being equipped with particle shields meant to protect it more so from debris than lasers. While its shields wont prevent energy weapons from impacting its hull, they do excel in defending against solid objects like small asteroids, mass drivers and concussion missiles or proton torpedoes.
The Warrior is also constructed with an extra layer of durasteel plating on its forward keel. While this armor plating does reduce the ship's maneuverability and speed slightly, the protection it provides makes these negligible factors. Capable of standing up to the punishment of repeated volleys from even Destroyer class ships, the Warrior is an exceptionally resilient ship in a head on fight.
However, its most powerful defensive systems are its engines and its hyperdrive. Equipped with 8 ion engines powered by the ship's Hypermatter Annihilator Reactor, the Warrior can double the output of its engine units to gain extra speed at the cost of shielding and weapon power. This is useful for when the Warrior needs to close distance in a short amount of time, or when it needs to make a hasty retreat from battle.
Additionally, the Warrior's Class 2.0 hyperdrive can be spun up in just under 60 seconds to allow the crew to escape quickly should they need to. All Warriors also come equipped with a Class 8 backup hyperdrive unit.
Sensor Systems:
The Warrior's sensor systems are quite advanced for a ship of its size. Its on board suite of electronics, dubbed TAG (Target Acquisition Guidance), allow it to scan opposing ships to obtain a detailed picture of what is coming up against them. Everything from the ship's classification, to energy output, to orientation and general heading can be read and interpreted by the Warrior's computer systems. Additionally, these sensor systems have been applied to the ship's weapons, and the Warrior's guns can track anything from snub fighters to missiles with remarkable accuracy.
Classification: Frigate
Recommend Price: 35,000 – 40,000 credits
