The large beast swiveled his head to look at Jor now leaning down from it’s massive bulk it seemed to sniff Jor, if that was possible for a rancor. Even from where Akari was standing she could smell its horrible breath. She resisted the urge to hold her nose thinking it might offend the creature.
“Jour? You smell like the one that came before, and you seek the same as he,” said the rancor blinking once before looking amongst the group gathered here. “I am the guardian of this tomb, and I have been here for longer than you can remember. Jeedai Master Jour, you may proceed. The other found a different way past me and seeks a catalyst.”
The large beast growled that he could be tricked or bypassed so easily, as he stood up his full height moving back to the darkness. Scars could briefly be seen over the beasts body some old and some fresh. “If you should find the other, do not let them have the catalyst,” said the guardian.
“Catalyst?” asked Akari now curious. They had no idea what was in here and maybe the guardian knew a few things about what lay inside. “What is the Catalyst for?”
A deep, low humming voice responded. “There are secrets that should never be found. Tools that should never be made. When one plays god with the force everything goes wrong.”
“Well… that was vague.” Said Akari a bit lower to her so her voice wouldn’t carry. All she was able to get from that is whatever it was could be dangerous. She moved over to John’s side for a moment. “What do you think about this other? Maybe it’s the one we are looking for?”
OOC Thought I remembered Drake saying something about joining the topic so here’s a possible way in for him.

“We thank you for the information Honored Guardian.” Jor said. “Rest assured, if we find this other we will ensure the Catalyst remains out of his possession.” Jor finished.
When he was done, he turned to Akari and whispered. “Unfortunately, while all answers are responses, not all responses are answers. Keep your wits about you, if it is the same guy we’re looking for and he managed to get by our Guardian friend, then he might be more capable than originally thought.”
Jor bowed to the Guardian and pressed forward into the tomb. He holstered both his guns to keep his hands free but signaled for Genie and John to be ready.

Akari was amazed a creature of such mass could disappear in the darkness so quickly. She wondered why it didn't fear or how it lived in the darkness permeating from this place. They pressed forward eventually coming to a large door with markings, and pictures. The pictures seemed to detail some sort of large creatures as well as orbs that seemed to accompany each and every one of the creatures. She counted them in her head.
As they pondered on how to get through the door Akari took note that one of them looked like a Rancor, and that lead her to believe it was a representation of the other creatures. One such one was a large snake under what looked like water. "Kamino or Manaan?" she spoke out loud for a second questioningly.
"I think these are clues to the locations, of other temples. I'll take some photo's for later." said Akari pulling out her comlink and snapping photo's with added light. "Master Halcyon what do you propose we do now? Force knows what's behind it..."
The door began to light up at the mention of the Force, and the gold seemed to have an inner glow as it creaked open. "Did I do that?" asked Akari not sure if she had or one of the others had found a switch. Ahead of them lay more darkness and the middle of the temple. holes lined the ceiling were one if they were careful to not fall over a hundred feet down could bypass the guardian. Faint light filtered in on the far side to a rising platform enshrouded by a dome of energy. The dome cascaded color around it like it was made of liquid, and the vibrant color's ranged from any in the rainbow as if someone had taken buckets of paint and thrown them in together and started to mix them. The colors were fighting back however.

As Akari said she was going to start taking pictures Jor nodded in agreement. A record of this trip would be good and information was something they were severely lacking in right now.
When the door cracked Jor drew his pistols and pointed them at the opening as it cracked open. Genie shifted her weight and the angle of her lightsaber to a more defensive position. John held his staff level as if holding a rifle and aiming from the hip.
“It wasn’t one of us. Everyone spread out, don’t bunch up. Genie, take point John take the left, I’m on the right. Akari, take the rear and watch this door behind us.” Jor ordered with a sense of precision. “Stay within sight of one another.”
As genie moved towards the door, Jor closed his eyes for a moment and reached out to everyone with a calming wave of emotion to try and ease the tension. Genie passed into the chamber beyond and pressed forward. John and Jor went through next taking up their positions on the flanks.
The sight before them was intense, frightening and spectacular all at once. Jor had never seen anything like it. Such visual displays of the Force were rare and usually required massive amounts of energy to manifest. “Careful Genie. This needs to be handled gently, that amount of power could go off like a bomb if mishandled.”

"It figures, the Jedi always show up when you don't want them to. Blindly bumbling in where they don't belong," said a voice walking up to the side of an urn and placing a hand upon it. "The wrong hands.... I think your too late for that."
The man up ahead surprisingly held a BTC-30 in one hand leveled at them, while his other took the Urn off the pedastle. There was a sudden burgening in the force when he did. Whispers through the sides of Akari's mind that were just too distant to make out. They sounded angry.... very angry.
"This might be the Dark Jedi the Guardian was talking about," said Akari as the door's slammed shut behind them. "Jor he's cut off our exit."
"Halcyon.... great. I was warned to stay abreast from you, but they didn't know how much power these things hold," said the cloaked figure. He was tall and large in his cloak standing about two meters tall, maybe even taller.

“You seem to have me at a disadvantage.” Jor said out loud. John, he’s armed. Get ready to fix that. he said through thought directly to John’s mind. “Would you perhaps like to introduce yourself?”
Genie’s stance widened a bit, ready to spring into action. Jor cooled her off with a pulse of calming emotion, relaxing her a bit and helping her focus. John’s grip on his staff tightened as he thought about what power he was going to sling first. Jor’s grip on his pistols remained relaxed and steady. Neither pointed directly at the newcomer, nor pointed directly away from him. Jor wasn’t going to escalate the threat but he was ready for violence.

“Isn’t that how it always is…. Tired of nobodies knowing you… and why should you care who I am? Why would any of you care? You’re here for this but I beat you first, you probably think it’s dangerous because that’s what Jedi do. They lock anything they perceive dangerous up. Not this time!” came the voice. The synthetic voice made it hard to tell if he was a human or an alien. Though from the height it was safe to assume the later.
‘Behind you…’ came the mental comment from the man to John as a telekinetic grasp flung a large pillar from the side instead of the front. In less than a blink the figure whipped up their cloak obscuring vision and bullets flew from the cloak fully auto. The BTC-30’s rail making an awful pounding side as it wasn’t meant to sustain this indefinitely. The barrage stopped after the initial burst, Akari had barely had time to attempt to dodge the slugthrower. She hit the ground before she even noticed she got hit in the arm.
The Dirty floor skinned her hand and it would probably need to be cleaned later but other than that she was ok. She got behind a pillar to stay out of range of fire. She had lost track of where exactly the Dark Jedi had gone. ‘Jor, were is he?’ thought Akari as she tried to reach out and find him.
The Dark Jedi after the barrage had leapt high though with the force or physical prowess it was hard to say. He knew taking on four to one was an idiotic notion, no matter how powerful you were. Four brains against one didn’t end well. He jumped again for the hole in the ceiling leading out to the foliage and what used to be an arena of some sort on the top of the temple. After landing he flipped down his hood revealing a Taung’s face.
Bulgender had been on the move ever since the fall of Cain, though he had been assigned to Alex Drake after his descent into Exile on the planet of Chinine he had strode off with Kyrite the Umbaran who was waiting around here somewhere. Bastard had him to all the work, but seemed indifferent no matter what he said to the Umbaran. They had a mutual trust developed over the years but it was still shaky at times. Hopefully the Jedi wouldn’t pursue. He was sure he hit at least one of the Jedi.

John felt the danger before he truly noticed it with his senses. He slammed the bottom end of his staff into the ground and shouted “Fus!” A short range wave of physical force emanated out in all directions from him and his staff with enough force to cancel out the momentum of the pillar, stopping it dead in its tracks a few feet from his person. The edge of the wave was weaker but enough to deflect the rounds off course just enough to miss John.
The wave was short range but Genie was close enough that she was knocked over by the wave just in time to miss a trio of bullets.
Jor wasn’t so lucky. He started dodging to the right but not fast enough to avoid getting grazed twice in the arm. The Jedi master hit the ground and slid a few feet from the momentum of his dodge. As he slid he opened fire with his pistols, firing one after another in fast succession. He wasn’t really aiming but hoping instead of lay down a covering fire to cover the others while they found some protection. As their attacker fled, Jor continued to fire away at him as he leapt out of sight. “He went through the roof! Probably how he got in! John, Genie!”
John twirled his staff into his off hand and offered his right to Genie to help her get up. “Can you make it?” John asked her.
Genie nodded. “If you give me the juice, I can do the jump.”
John nodded and put a hand on her shoulder. Through clenched eyes he focused and let the rest of the world fall away. He didn’t have a specific word for sharing his connection with another person. Without absolute focus chances were he’d burn himself and Genie out.
Genie crouched low and jumped, forcing power into her legs borrowing energy from John to fuel the leap. She carried John with her and the pair of them made it through the roof. Their landing wasn’t nearly as graceful as their adversary. Genie’s usual excellent balance was put off by John’s weight and they both tumbled to the floor of the arena upon landing.
Down in the chamber Jor was busy pulling out his comlink. “Goose, get in the air now! We need air support.”
“Is that level the entire structure air support or help track someone air support.” Goose asked.
“We have a bad guy fleeing the scene with something important. John and Genie are in pursuit.” Jor said as we went over to Akari to help her up.
“Roger that, I’ll have Runt ready with his rifle.” Goose replied and then cut the link.
Jor reached down to his arm where he had been grazed and pulled his hand away with blood. It hurt like the dickens and would bleed a lot but so long as he didn’t aggravate it he should be fine for a little bit. He put his pistols into his pockets and took his gun belt off. He tossed the belt to Akari. “Here, wrap that around the wound tight to stop the bleeding. We need to find the guardian and warn him that whatever was in here was stolen.

Bulgender turned looking behind them as both of the Jedi fell to their feat. He took measure of this seeing that most likely they were slightly less experienced to Jedi Masters he had been evading for the last few years. Though he cursed in native Mandalorian when he saw that they still intended to follow him. It wasn't his goal here to get anyone killed but if they were going to press him he was going to press back, his shots sprang up again as he headed across the roof of the building until his clip ran out.
'Hey Kyrite if your out there cover for my escape you bald di'kut!'
He felt a slight brush on his mind. 'Plan's changed leave the Orb,'
'The hell are you talking about? Our Employeer said specifically to get it whatever the cost,' replied Bulgender looking behind him as he heard an aircraft in the distance.
'Plan's changed let it fall into Jedi hands, our Employeer does not want more than one of these things being in the same location. The Jedi will keep their's safe, we'll just have to find the others as before them,' came the still cool presence of Kyrite.
'Frag it all to Cain's sweaty sex chamber, now you tell me!'
'You didn't ask,' he felt as the presence began slipping away.
'I'll --'
Jor was contacting the flight teams to go after them and the other two had made it to the top. Akari heard gunfire and hoped they were alright as she moved to Jor's position. The only way out looked to be up she had searched the room for a secondary exit, behind them the door still was shut solid.
"Jor what do we do--" started Akari but was interupted by a roar piercing through the temple.
'GRAWWWRRR!!!!!!!!' came the growl of the large Rancor as the temple began to rumble from the sheer rage the beast had. The place was starting to fall around them, a large piece of the ceiling fell near Jor and Akari nearly crushing them. The walls were starting to slide down towards them collapsing inward from instability.
Bulgender saw the large rancor guardian only after he felt the rumble of multiple inside walls being crushed and rammed through. He had almost fallen off the edge he had gotten to and in doing so dropped the vase as it rolled away form him he moved for it, and then decided against it as the Rancor started to climb the wall for him.
"Have it Jedi! Guard it well for I won't be the only one after it," said Bulgender as he shouldering his BTC-30 and pulled forth a lightsaber that activated red.
'There's an aircraft headed your way Bulgender get out of there.'
'I have BIGGER problems at the moment!' responded Bulgender as he looked down to the Rancor about to reach him.

John pointed to their escaping trouble maker. “After him!” He shouted. “I’ll get the urn.”
Genie leaped into action and dashed towards their fleeing suspect but the sudden rumbling of the structure made her loose her footing and fall flat on her face. Her fall however was the only thing that saved her from the trio of shots that passed right through where she would have been if she’d kept running. She stayed down to avoid further bullets being thrown in her direction and by the time she got up to run again a section of the roof they were standing on collapsed blocking her path.
John on the other hand had a different problem. The urn had rolled towards the edge of the temple and John had done a running slide to catch it and stop it with his legs. The collapsed roof had left gaps all around him, surrounding the jedi knight with holes and unstable footing with a large urn and a staff in his arms.
“I can’t get to him.” Genie shouted.
“I can’t get out of here Genie, come back and help me.” John yelled back.
“But he’ll get away!”
“That’s ok, we’ll catch up to him another time. Right now I need help.”
Genie gave their adversary one last glare before backing away and running back to help John.

Jor flinched to the side as the rubble landed near them. Looking up he saw large chunks of the structure about to give way. “Climb up on top of the rubble!” He shouted over the sound of the temple giving way. “stay under the holes in the ceiling and watch your footing.”
Jor helped the young Jedi climbed before clambering up the rubble himself. As chunks of stone fell away from reaches far above them, the temple groaned on its foundations as the weight shifted. Pillars that were never meant to take weight were suddenly holding the whole thing up and walls bent and deformed as bit by bit the building failed.
Wounded as he was he didn’t think he could make the climb all the way out. Frankly he didn’t think he could do it if he were perfectly healthy and 10 years younger. “Stay out from under anything and try to keep as high on the rubble as you can.” He ordered but in truth he didn’t know how they were going to get out with their escape route blocked by that much rubble. Even John couldn’t shift that much stone if he let loose with all he had.
Jor’s thoughts were interrupted when a dangling rope dropped down into his field of view. The first thought that went through his head was “What the devil is a rope doing here.” Followed quickly by “Grab the Rope!”
He reached out and clutched the rope with both fists and leaned towards Akari.

“Heat signatures say they’re right below us! Stand fast with that line!” Senior said.
Tank and Hefty nodded in unison, holding onto the thick line with both arms. When Rita had reported the structure was collapsing the Grays thought up a quick plan to try and get the away team out. They clipped length of rope to the hanger bay cargo clamps along with safety lines for Tank and Hefty so they could pull up whoever might grab a hold. Senior was using his helmets thermal display locate and aim them while Runt used his rifle scope to call out distance and speed to Goose to help him get on point.
It was a beautiful display of teamwork and they managed to drop the rope through one of the holes in the roof.
When Senior saw the two heat signatures converge at the end of the rope, he gave Tank and Hefty a thumbs up. “heave!”
The pair started pulling with all their strength pulling the rope, and anyone attached to it skyward.

“Grab hold!” Jor ordered. He had a death grip on the rope and he twisted the bottom end of it around his foot to try and keep the weight off his arms.
His arm was burning from the pain of his wound and his body was tired from climbing the rubble and their previous walk through the untamed brush of the outside planet but he held on tight and waited.
