The Botany Bay exited hyperspace over Dathomir and dropped into high orbit around the planet. “Its funny, this place almost seems familiar to me.” John said from the back of the cockpit.
“Been here before?” Jor asked.
John shook his head. “Naw. My first Master was from here. It’s from her I picked up my words. She didn’t talk about it much but from her personality and they way she treated me, I could make a few guesses at the kind of culture she grew up in.”
Jor leaned over to talk to Goose. “do a quick scan for any signs of recent arrivals or departures, then find us a place to land.”
Goose nodded. “You sure this is the place?”
Jor shrugged. “Could be. Witness said he sighted the ship jump into hyperspace in a nearby system, headed on a course that would take him by this system. It’s a shot in the dark but better than sitting on our hand on our hands at Corbenic.”
“Bring your lightsabers. Wildlife is supposed to be pretty crazy down there, at least according to my old master.” John said

Akari had kept to her assigned room for most of the journey here. It was exciting to get to go somewhere not standard in civilization. Once she had heard where they were headed she had used the GOOGLE (A common search site on the holonet standing for Geography, Organisms, Observations, Government, Legal, and Entertainment) to find out what she could about the planet they were going to. It appeared to be one of the lower civilized planets, not really having anything worthy of note in the public database’s so she switch over to the Jedi VPN.
After entering in her username and password. “Flower” and “Sunlight” she proceeded to go through the Jedi archives at least what she had access to with her limited access account. She had known one person in the Jedi temple who had hacked a higher account once, and had showed her trying to impress. Well that had gotten him into a bit of trouble to say the least.
Dathomir apparently had human inhabitants but not vary many for it was largely populated by forests. Her imagination spurred what they might find in such a place and why a darksider would come here. She guessed it was to stay off the grid, and teach their vile practices in secret. There was after all things that go on in the dark that never see the light of day.
She headed to the bridge when she got an alert on her com display signaling they would be arriving soon. She made sure to get her green jedi robes on and strapped on her lightsaber, from what she had read there were rancor’s amongst the planet and though she never had met one before she definitely did not want to meet one today. Maybe in a few more years when she was… well more adept with the force. She walked up to John and Jor as they seemed to be finishing a conversation.
“Who was your old master John? She was from here? Do you think we’ll run into her today?” asked Akari not sure what they had just been talking about.

John turned to face Akari. "My first master was a woman named Iniga. She taught me to use the words I use when I tap into the Force. She was an evil woman who sold me out for 5,000 credits to an even more evil man. She's dead, so is he. The Jedi killed them both and I was saved."
John shrugged. "In short, no I don't think we'll meet her down on the planet."
Jor chuckled. "Something's gone horribly wrong if we do. Lets go suit up while goose gets us set for landing."
John nodded. "We taking the grays?"
Jor shook his head. "Nah, shouldn't need them. I'll keep them on standby."

“I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to bring back memories like those…” said Akari now wishing she hadn’t said anything at all. She hadn’t known the Jedi had people like John who started off in darkness. She was glad he had been able to overcome such a thing in the past though. She decided it would probably be best if she remained mostly quite now.
“I’m ready when you are,” said Akari as she waited around. Excitement began to build up as she tried to remain impassive outwardly about her growing anticipation towards visiting the planet. ‘Hopefully,’ she thought. ‘There won’t be any more people here like John’s Master…’

"No worries." John said. "They're just memories.”
Jor and John went to their rooms. Jor put on his breastplate and other Templar armor but kept it under his clothes so that it wasn’t obvious. He decided against the standard Jedi robes. Walking through the forest of an unexplored planet would have been too difficult with robes. Instead he opted for his usual tucked in T-shirt, jeans and brown leather jacket. He strapped his gunbelt on as well with Neeja and Kieran in their holsters and his lightsaber clipped to the back.
John grabbed his staff and merely shrugged off his robes but stayed in the standard Jedi tunic.
While they were getting ready, Goose put the Botany Bay down in a field somewhere in the northern hemisphere. As the ship settled Jor went to the cargo bay where Genie was waiting for him. “Eager to go Genie?”
Genie just shrugged. “Just want to make sure you don’t forget me. You’ve been leaving me behind a lot.”
Jor frowned. He had been, but only because they’d been getting into things he didn’t think she could handle just yet. “Feel up to doing a bit of exploring?”
Genie smiled. “Sure do. Let’s go old man.”
“That’s Jedi Master old man to you.” Jor replied sternly.
Genie bowed her head . “Sorry Master.”
John came down to the cargo bay “Oh, good, our scout is coming with us.”
Genie lit up at his presence. “Always happy to get some new experiences.”

Akari watched as they all arrived in the cargo bay and got introduced to a new member of the crew. From what she gathered the new addition was named "Genie" like the kind that some races and religions liked to think grant wishes.
"Hello, Genie nice to meet you. My names Akari," she said offering out a hand to shake if she wanted to accept. "So does anyone know what we are looking for on the planet? Did the initial scans pick up anything on this planet to where we could start investigating?"
Hopefully, this didn't turn into a wild goose chase. 'Goose, wasn't someone on this ship named goose?' she thought to herself humorously.

Genie returned the handshake and smiled pleasantly but inwardly and silently assessed the new female aboard. It wasn’t anything hostile, it was just something she did subconsciously. A new Masterless padawan, traveling with them and working with John and Jor. She couldn’t help but think that Jor was trying to set this new girl up as John’s apprentice.
“Nice to meet you to.” Genie replied.
Jor on the other hand answered her question. “As far as the investigation goes, Goose is landing us in a likely landing zone for any ships that come to the planet. Scans picked up nothing on the way down so we’re just taking a walk and getting a feel. See if the Force wants to lead us towards something.”
John pushed the large green button on the hydraulic control panel that lowered the ramp. “I don’t think it will be a problem finding a dark presence on this planet.” He said. “Felt it pretty strong while we were up in orbit.”
Jor stood stone still waiting for the ramp to lower. “Me too. Everyone should be on their guard. Genie, you take point.”
Jor’s apprentice perked up and pushed to the front of the group and lead the way down the ramp.

“Alright, I’ll let you know if I see anything out of the ordinary then,” said Akari as Jor told Genie to take point. Now that he mentioned it there was an odd feeling about this place but she had ignored it thinking it was her imagination imprinting feelings on the unknown. She tried to focus now since there was still the possibility of something lurking here, that and if the force wanted them to find something here it would lead them there but only if they listened. As the ramp lowered out onto the forest planet she took in the sights, and the world went form grey’s to greens quickly. The transition was almost jarring, though beautiful. Akari tried not get distracted by the scenery as Genie lead the way.

“No shortage of tree’s here.” John said as they walked.
Jor snorted. “I’ve grown used to the snow. At least on Ilum you can see something coming for miles.”
“At least here you don’t lose your fingers and toes for staying outside too long.” John replied.
Jor snorted. “If you love it so much why don’t you marry it.”
“If you love Ilum so much you should marry it…”
“Will you too be quiet?” Genie said from the front of the line. “Your child like banter is distracting me from my duty of pointwoman.”
Both Jor and John smiled and said in unison. “Awwwww” in the best childs tone they could muster.
Genie grumbled. “Grow up. Your setting a bad example to the Masterless Padawan in our midst.”
Jor and John and shut up but kept their smiles. “Just trying to lighten the mood Genie.” Jor said.
“This place could use it.” John agreed. “Feel anything?”
Jor shook his head. “Nothing other than the background. How about you Akari, you feel anything out of place here? Anything you can put your finger on?”

OOC Sorry it's taking so long mik.
Akari hadn't seen anything on the trip and with Jor and Johns arguing probably hadn't helped anyone keep alert. Genie managed to shut them up for the moment, but from appearances this would be a common thing between them. When they asked her if she felt anything, There was something. She couldn't put her finger on it until just now.
There was a deep silence to the forest. The unnatural kind, no birds chirping or the sound of insects. It was like they had all up and left. "I hear silence..." said Akari listening for a moment to make sure her suspicions where correct. "Do you think the ship landing scared the wildlife away?"
Akari leaned against a tree and she unexpectingly got a flash of animals running from a rumbling sound. There was a splash of fear, and then she could feel the vibrations of animals running by the tree and the subtle vibrations through the ground, it seemed to be coming from north.
Taking her hand off the tree she looked at her hand wondering how she had just done that. Had she just really felt what the tree had felt? "I think what we are looking for is North..."

Jor reached out with his own senses and felt much the same. "Looks like north is our route then. Genie, find us a path through this brush." He said. Genie activated her lightsaber and used it like a machete, chopping through the Forrest to clear a path.
"Whatever it is it must be powerful to have driven all the creatures away. Things usually don't have enough ambient power to influence the enviornment like this." John commented.
Genie spoke up from the front. "What could cause something like that?"
"No idea" Jor said. "Could be something I've never seen, could be a host of things. We'll just have to find out."

Akari nodded and walked behind Genie as she wailed her way through the brush admiring how she cut just enough space for them to pass through. As they walked it was a good fifteen minutes before they found anything, and the presence seemed to get larger and larger as they approached the top of a hill.
Suddenly the forest went thicker and seemed to blot out most of the sun as the hill platued and mostly obscured by tree's was a temple that looked like it had been placed there by a species lost to time. The temple had tree's and plants growing all over it almost acting as a camoflague from a distance for Akari didn't noticed how big the temple actually was until they approached the base.
Made of some sort of old rock, it had scupltures of large winged reptilian beast, and rancors placed all about the place. One however are larger than all the rest and encompassed the whole temple. It was long and almost snake like. The moss growing all along it gave its scales almost a gleaming green color.
"Wait, I've seen that before somewhere in the archives..." said Akari trying to recognize where she had seen something like this before. It was a good thirty seconds before she placed it. "It's a statue of a Duinuogwuin!"
Upon the possible confusion on other's faces she clarified her answer. "The more common name for them is Star Dragons. They have been seen in space from time to time but its a very rare sight. Most just believe its a myth because documented contact with them is hard to come by." said Akari looking at the statue before turning to the temple enterance. Whatever was resonating that power... it was coming from within the temple... "Does that mean we have to go in there...?" asked Akari a bit sheepishly.

“We don’t have to…. But we’re gunna.” Jor said and drew his pistols. John gripped his staff, holding it in a reversed grip behind his back. Genie’s lightsaber stayed out and lit but her stance changed from someone simply chopping down brush to someone ready for a fight.
“I’ve got the left, John you’ve got the right. Genie your right up the middle. Akari, you stay behind us and backup anyone who needs it if things go to crap.” Jor ordered. They organized themselves and approached the temple. “My grandpa used to tell a story about how he had an encounter with a Star Dragon. Always used to think it was a story he made up. Didn’t know they had any other name.” he said as they approached the temple.
“The real question here, is this planet is pre-space flight. My master left the planet because slavers landed and captured her. The people of this planet don’t have spaceships of their own. If they’ve never been to space, how could they have had an encounter with one of these Duinuoguinnoiningue things. I mean… they built a huge statue of one.” John said, his tone hushed for reasons even he didn’t know.
“Maybe they used to have spaceships a long time ago when this place was built and that culture died off or something.” Genie suggested.
Jor shrugged. “We’d seen some kind of that evidence from orbit. Space faring cultures have buildings and star ports and space stuff floating around in space. We saw none of that.”

Akari allowed a dry swallow before nodding. She took her lightsaber off her utility belt but did not activate it for now. “Alright I’ll stay in the back…” said Akari before thinking to herself, that even people in the back get attacked as often as those in the front. She laughed when John had tried to pronounce Duinougwuin, so she figured she’d just call them Star dragons from here on out for simplicity sake.
“Star dragons are a space fairing race… the people here wouldn’t have had to encounter them… a Star Dragon may have just found them. They are one of the few species that can survive in a vacuum of space. Or at least so they say…” said Akari as she and them walked in. She activated her lightsaber for a bit more light for there was no light within the temple. It’s pink hue hissed to life as she looked behind them to the light fading in the distance.
The temple was a maze of hallways and rooms, with multiple floors that seemed to snake around the building. She hoped they didn’t get lost after awhile since most of the inside was hard to tell from another. She could feel them getting closer now. Whatever it was she thought it was at the end of the hallway…
“I think… something is still alive in here. I…” started Akari touching her head before being interrupted by a large deep voice.
“Who enters this tomb?” came the vibrating growl as a large figure strode into view of the chamber they had just entered. It was a rancor who’s face was barely illuminated by the small light the Jedi had. Akari took a few steps back not quite believing that the creature before them just spoke.
“I asked…. WHO ENTERS THIS TOMB!!!??!?!” it growled much angrier than before, with enough force that the room seemed to shake. Akari waited for the elder Jedi to respond…

“Yeah… I think your right.” Jor said, agreeing with Akari that there was something still alive in here, right before the voice from the giant echoed through the stone chambers.
Genie moved to activate her lightsaber but Jor shot her a look and a mental ‘Don’t.’ he didn’t want to escalate if he didn’t have to and weapons rarely calmed things down. Akari’s was already lit but there was nothing he could do about that. Besides her saber was one of the only light sources.
Jor took a step forward, putting himself between the group and the Rancor. “My name is Jedi Master Jor Halcyon!” He said loudly, but politely. “But most people just call me Jor. My group and I respectfully request to examine this tomb. We mean no harm but we feel a dark presence here. The same feeling that has scared all the animals outside away from this place.”
