I think i fixed it though. i was trolling about BHOD all day yesterday and it didn't happen once. I use a program called Onix to clean my computer and it works pretty good but it didn't seem to do much. so yesterday after work i ran my disk utility and repaired some permissions, did a restart, cleaned it with onix and the problem seems to have stopped.

I'd just like to go on record saying that i believe i am the first person to think of rickrolling the bridge crew of a super star destroyer. This is one of my all time favorite threads, purely for that.
