McCloud wears a long, dark brown duster coat made from nerf leather. under the coat he tends to prefer professional looking button up, collard shirts and business casual pants with black combat boots. The exception to this usual wardrobe is when he knows he's going into combat. He has a black, tactical body suit which he wears under his duster.
His eyes are robotic prosthetics. They are Mk3 Datadyne Cybernetics Inc prosthetic eye implants. Not top of the line, but pretty close. They glow faintly with a red light. they aren't really visible unless he's in the dark.
Most of the time, when he's on the job or in combat he wears a black ballistics mask. It serves no real purpose since it won't stop a blaster bolt, but it hides his identity and gives him a more menacing look.
Personality:
McCloud is a consummate professional. Once he takes a job, he'll do his best to complete it and if he is unable to complete it, he'll reimburse his employer for his failure.
He holds financial gain above all else. Everything he does, he does for money. He is business minded and impartial about just about everything. If you want to employ him, you'd best be ready to negotiate. He rarely does anything for the asking price.
Not much is known of him before he took the name McCloud, but the reason he became McCloud in the first place is because he likes crime. He enjoys pitting himself against the authorities. He has nothing personal against police forces or military, he just likes going against the grain.
When it comes to combat, McCloud performs hitting hard, fast and overwhelming his opponent with lots of firepower. He goes into just about every situation packed to the brim with weapons equipment. He prefers to overkill rather than risk underkill.
Bio:
McCloud was a honest man once. He was a Starship Engineer working on Kuat, designing and building medium sized transports. He held two masters degrees in starship mechanics and hyperspace physics. He was an incredibly smart man who spent a large portion of his life in school. His job was great and his family was loving and stable. he had a pregnant wife and a two year old daughter.
The event that made him drop his life and take up the name McCloud happened not to long after he took a new job working for a Kuat shipyard. The local Exchange crime boss needed a ship for his smuggling operation and decided to enlist the pre McCloud against his will. Using a corrupt cop, the crime boss had his wife and daughter kidnapped.
Long story short, McCloud's family was killed… horribly, and McCloud watched. He was a cowardly engineer and because of it, the people he loved died. From that point on he became obsessed with crime. He swore vengeance, but first he needed to prepare. He started by robbing banks, gaining some capitol and slowly growing his love of money. He purchased his gear and the hulk of a ship. He spent the next 6 months stealing money and purchasing parts and scrap to build his ship and get it into working order. He named it the Jessica, after his wife.
Weapons and Equipment:
Blaster Pistols
McCloud prefers to go into fights armed to the teeth. It’s the one thing that often gives him an edge in fights against a numerically superior enemy. His basic armament almost always starts with his blaster pistols. Worn in comfortable thigh holsters on either leg, he carriers a pair of older, but reliable BlasTech ASI-12b's. They've been modified with an overclocked gas chamber which increases the power of each shot but makes each cell only good for 12 shots instead of the full 20.
Holdout Blasters
Worn in under arm holsters, these small blaster pistols are his backup weapons. Good for only a handful of not so powerful shots, they are light, small, easily concealable and quiet.
Scatter Blaster
Held in a holster on his back or a specially made pocket in his duster, the scatter blaster is made of lightweight materials so it can easily be held and aimed with one or both arms. Its effective range is only a hundred feet or so, but it has a big spread of powerful bolts making it a great room clearing weapon or close range street sweeper.
Ballistic Mask
When combat is assured, McCloud wears a Ballistic Mask. It has minimal electronics built into it. Basically just a comlink and a climate control system to prevent McCloud from overheating and the eyes from fogging up.
