I have two questions i would like to present before this board today. First is, what happened to the old site, i've tried a few times a day to get on it, but i always get an error page. Is it down for good? And Second. What's the site's standing on Anti-matter weapons, like bombs and such? as far as anti-matter weapons are concerned, i feel they would fall under the no superweapons rule. If you had an amount of anti-matter equivalent to that of an average sized human, adult, male you could cause an explosion large enough to kill an entire planets ecosystem.

To the first question, I don't know why the original site isn't loading. I'll have to bring it up with Proboards support. To the second question, yes, what mik said.

I have another question, this one involves both the DnD and this years Gauntlet, that being. Can one subtract points from any given stat and add that to another, like you could in the KOTOR games? I'm Sure this is unneeded, but for the shake of it, an example. Lets say my character is force centered, not that he is... And i have little intention of having him fight face to face on any level, can i remove points from Strength and add them to Wisdom, or Dexterity, if i so desire? Nothing is mentioned of it, as far as i could tell, whatsoever, so it seems to be a gray area to me, and i would like to know, for future reference.

The answer is at the moment a no. The stat 8 is considered low enough right now. 10 being the average human of any of those stats, which is a +0. The stat 8 is already a -1 to your rolls, saving throws and anything else related to that stat. You can however leave any stat you feel that is unnecessary and leave it at 8 and pump it instead into other stats. An example of a sort of extreme force user character would be mine, with 16 both WIS and CHAR, but 10 everything else. The reason for 8 being the minimum also comes from the stats actually representing the person's skills. For example if you want to try something in the DnD game. Say your on a mission to find out who assassinated someone with a certain kind of blaster, and your sent to this shotout event where it's rumored your target will be. While competing you are on the look out for your target. Needless to say in that situation, I'd take into account your Dex when your character is shooting quickly and how accurate. If your character is carrying a heavy load or trying to lift something heavy. The DM may feel that given your 8 strength they may not be able to. Besides we don't want any Min Maxing charries. XD Short Version: No. Side Note: (I believe in Kotor there was a limit to how far down you could push the stats which I believe was to 8. <.< could be wrong but that's what I remember)

Ah, well makes sense all the same, Thanks for the answer Zilfer.
And on that KOTOR point, perhaps there was a limit, been years since i gone, done and played that game, so i could have misremembered facts.

The Anniversary games don't start until January 3rd. That's why the dice game is locked and why no tournaments are taking place right now. This time before the games is for registering for said tournaments.

Yay! I have another question!
I dunno if it was addressed already and i missed it, or the answer is as simple as, "It takes place in a different timeline." But my question is this.
Q: Lets say that during the course of the BHOD DnD some catastrophic event transpires which changing the fate of a planet, or an entire system forever, or very well close to that.
And another example would be, what happens if something happens to a certain species, just anything that could possible effect the BHOD today, How would that work?
I assumed it was all figured out and i just missed it, but the thought just struck me, and i dunno what is, or where to find, the answer.

(Though most of the major battles planned are already part of the BHOD timeline =P)

I have a question (Duh, since I am posting here)
What age would a person be to be considered to be an apprentice? Like.. How old can it be? Also, is it possible to find some existing character to take up the role as a master?
Edit: forgot a question. Under force skill do you write the natural talent, or your current skill? And also if it's current skill is it possible to increase it with time?

I'll take this one since I'm the only one here it seems, the site takes place like around KOTOR or what not, in that time period. Also yes there is an entire Jedi temple to get a master from or Sith Enclave to get a master so someone on the site can become your master.
And finally your skills are where your character currently is in the RP if they train than it will increase as the story increases as far as going back to edit your bio to match that just ask one of the admins and they should let you.
Hope that helped

And also if it's current skill is it possible to increase it with time? To your first question, that would depend on what kind of character you have. For a Jedi, typically Padawan years are from about age 13 - 22. For a Sith it could be at any age, depending on when you began your training. As for a Master, you certainly could find someone to help you with that I'm sure. If you're a Jedi, PM me about it, and if not, I'm sure one of our other members will be willing to help. To the second question; your current skill. And yes, you can increase it over time through role playing, but any adjustments to your stats after your character is approved would have to be done by a staff member.

Thanks That answered a lot except the age. I didn't mean timelinewise (Isthatevenaword?) In the movies there's a certain age you aren't allowed to cross if you're to be accepted as a padawan. Is there something similar here? Like.. You can't join if you're over 6 or 12 or 15. Edit: Thanks ^^ Everything is answered now
