Name: Saber claws
Weapon type: Melee/close range
Description: The saber claws are weapons that are integrated into prosthetic hands (more specifically the forearm and the hand). The prosthetic arm works on the same general principles as every other robotic limb, however it has a slightly studier construction due to all of the extra features in it. The claw has 3 saber crystals that are embedded within the back of the hand. The switches to the sabers are located within the forearm itself and are connected through several neural links as the rest of the hand. Thus the user only has to think and the sabers will be activated much as moving one’s hand. The saber blades themselves extends from between the index finger and middle finger, middle and ring and ring and pinky finger.
The blades lengths normally range from the size of the person’s forearm to one foot each. They are about one inch apart from one another and are shaped in the form of claws, (thus the name, duh). Of course the claws can be customized in color, meaning any saber color is possible. The crystal however must be cut into the right shape to fit the hand’s construction and keep it at a reasonable size.
History/Uses: A technology created by Dr. Uni Cron and ordered by the Hutt Lue these weapons were to be used for assassinations. Due to the fact that they could be hidden as standard prosthetic limbs no one would ever suspect they concealed a dangerous weapon. The weapon itself is more suited for those who are willing to kill their opponent as they can be used to get the drop on someone, or as a last defense against an attack.
