Bio: Joshua was born to Scott Mador, mother unknown, on the planet Ryloth. Josh was born on Ryloth but he never grew up on the planet. If you asked him anything about it, he wouldn't be able to give you a answer. Growing up was difficult for Josh. He never had many friends. But when your father is in the U.S.F., that tends to happen. All Josh had in his life was his father, a strict Lieutenant. When Josh was 14 years of age he made the decision he would follow in his father's footsteps and join the Army branch of the U.S.F.
With his dad being a Lieutenant in the Army, Josh learned everything his dad knew. But. His training was stressful, dangerous, and difficult. All this for the hopes of one day becoming Supreme Commander in the Army. That was his ultimate goal. And he wasn't going to stop for nothing until he achieved it.
Josh's training started of with the physical aspect. His father had him run miles and miles a day just to get him in shape. He then added push-ups and crunches to his workout regiment. Joshua was feeling pain in every part of his body. And as the physical training continued, he felt muscles he never felt before. Pain in places he could never feel. But his dad told him he would experience pain in the military.
Whether it be through war or training simulation. The physical training also trained his mental toughness. There were many days, weeks, months Josh wanted to give in. But his dad was there to make sure that was happen. If he was to give in on the battle field, his life, or the life of others could be in jeopardy. His dad told him, "When you're on the battlefield, thinking gets you killed. You don't have time to think. In a split second you could be dead or your comrades could be dead. You have to act to the situation that arises.".
To help Josh with breaking this habit he ran him through different simulators. Some including hostage situations, riot control, breach and clear, etc. As the simulators got harder Josh had to act faster. At the beginning stages he had the time to think. But in the final stages of the simulator, he had to strictly react.
With all the physical and mental training Josh was enduring he was starting to get bored. That's when his dad introduced him to the simple blaster pistol. He was taught how to hold it, fire it with precision, and how to disarm people holding a blaster. When Josh first fired the blaster he realized what a rush it was. His dad saw he was having more fun with it than being serious so he had to stop that.
His father went over the safety rather strictly. He could easily take somebody's life with a blaster. So he had to be smart about it. He learned the in and outs about the blaster. The blaster was best suited for close quarters combat than long range. Basically because the blaster lacked the accuracy at longer ranges. After his was comfortable handling the blaster pistol his dad moved him on to the blaster type rifle.
With the rifle being heavier he was taught how to hold it to decrease the sway to have better accuracy. In the simulations Josh was ran though his accuracy over a long distance which was amazingly accurate. His ability to take in the range, wind direction, wind speed so quickly astonished his father. Maybe his son was a true sniper? In a close quarters situation he was best firing from the hip because actually trying to bring up the sight would take to long and whoever wielded the smaller weapon would out gun him.
With knowledge on the basic plaster pistol and blaster type rifle Josh was introduced to the art of hand to hand combat. Which he found out was tougher than he thought. He thought his dad would be an easy opponent with his age but boy was he wrong. Josh ended up with more cuts and bruises than his dad did. However when Josh learned how to take down his opponent, strike, grapple, and defend, the bruises were even for both sides.
The physical training he endured at the beginning and still withheld definitely paid of in hand to hand combat. He was able to endure more pain and keep his stamina up in hopes to outlast his opponent if need be. After his unarmed training he was taught how to use grenades, smoke grenades, medical kits, and other basic Army equipment.
The last part of his training would deemed the most stressful. With aspirations of becoming a Supreme Commander he had to understand how to command a fleet, let alone a group of three men if needed be. His dad and him would run different battle simulators controlling ground units and space units. It was the most stressful thing he had encountered in all of his training.
But if he wanted to become Supreme Commander, his ultimate goal in the military, he needed to learn how to control a squad, fleet, or ten men. After the culmination of his training, his father was impressed. He saw Joshua as a better person than who he was. With the knowledge Josh gained from his father, he was ready to join the ranks of the U.S.F. Army. Taking the first step towards his dream of becoming Supreme Commander.
When Josh was 19 his father became deathly ill. A week after becoming ill his father passed away. Josh felt lost for the first couple of weeks without his father. His friend, mentor, father, gone. However Josh knew joining the Army would bring in friends, mentors, and a new father figure. He was ready to start a new chapter in his life.
