Name: Alexa Pasternak
Species: Corellian Human
Age: 32
Sex: Female
Height/Weight: 6'3"/ 185 lbs
Appearance: Tall and lithe, Alexa has long redish hair that frizzes out almost constantly. Careful management and a life with it have let her control it to the point that every hair is in it's place. She is never without her jacket, which contains everything from a pair of tweezers, to the components for a permacrete detonator, which she has the skill to not only set one, but build it using these pieces.
Personality: Alexa is somewhat abrasive towards those she doesn't know. As she gets to know someone though, she is seen to be a rather kind and considerate person.
She tends to have a weak spot for "stranded puppies", as it were. Many people who need a spot of help tend to get it from her. As such, her abrasiveness wears off quicker when working with this type.
Character Rank: Smuggler; Independent
Special Skills:
Sneaking: Alexa is exceptionally nimble and able to evade most detection systems.
Hacking: Alexa's razor sharp mind can solve some of the most dizzying computer problems in record time. Training and dedication have also played a big roll in her ability.
Explosives: While common sense tends to fail Alexa most of the time, she knows how dangerous explosives are and treats them with the proper respect, but still is able to force them to do it her way.

Bio:Born on Corellia(as most Corellians are), she grew up in a small, poverty stricken district. As she grew up, she learned many of the basics of survival. When she was a small child, her parents died in a fire that destroyed the small and cramped lean-to that they had pitched up in the slums, along with so many others.
She went onto the street and began to teach herself some vital tricks to stay alive. Eventually, a middle aged man, in a similar situation to her own began to tutor her in these survival skills.
By the time she was fifteen, she could steal a man's wallet, find and hotwire his speeder and be three districts over by the time he noticed. She also learned how to handle most blaster pistols and knows how to modify them. She stole the blaster she now uses as her primary weapon, a DH-17 blaster pistol, from a well-to-do older man who had just been wearing it like a trophy, with the flap missing.
So, she just slid up to him and he only noticed about 4 hours later when a pair of thugs beset him and he reached for it. He wound up having to pay the thugs 1000 credits each.
Much of what formed her childhood revolved around a reoccurring dream of a remote island that she had named Longmore Island. This island was a place of peace and revitalization. Filled with some sort of peaceful energy, she would always wake in a great mood, full of energy and ready to take on the world.
She began to wonder, as she grew older and continued to dream about it, if it was a real place. Someplace that was calling to her through her dreams. This would grow on her and she would become the woman she is today as a result.
When she hit 19, she decided that she couldn't do much with her life on Corellia. She managed to find a ship in a junkyard that looked like it would likely come apart at the smallest shudder, but the junkyard owner gave it to her for free, glad to have the space back for more profitable ships.
It managed to take her a few jumps about the galaxy as she learned how to make money on the spaces ways. She finally decided to trade the bucket in for a newer, more useful ship.
No one wanted to giver her crap for the ship though, so she broke it down and sold off it's pieces. The hyperdrive alone netted her a thousand credits.
Finally, she only had the hull left and she sold it for scrap metal, getting a decent deal out of it.
At last, now that she had a decent sum of credits to buy her first real ship with, she went to a shipyard, determined to find something that wasn't a hunk of junk.
There she found a Dynamic-class freighter. She knew instantly that it was the one she wanted. She bought it used for a a good price.
She named it Longmore Island, after that same island she dreamed about every night. Now, it was her Longmore Island. And she no longer dreams about the island now. In fact, looking back on it, she realized the "island" had never really been an island. It had been this very ship. She just hadn't been able to narrow it down to that for lack of knowledge.
She began a lucrative career as an independent smuggler. She had no problem taking on illegal loads, but she still had her limits. No spice, no slaves, no drugs. As long as the cargo wasn't those, she would carry it. Also, she was entitled to examine the cargo herself before loading it.
She had her ethics and she stuck to them. Even the few times she was boarded, she still manged to get her less than legal packages there on time. Mostly because she over-padded her time estimates. She built up a reputation as always being on time or early.
She planned to expand her horizons soon, perhaps maybe going completely legal and taking on captains and more ships.
