Name: Garok Raan

Age: 27
Sex: Male
Height/Weight: 5'10" / 150 lbs
Species: Human
Title: Sith Lord
Appearance:
Having endured years of rough training, Garok's body has been bruised and beaten more times than memory serves to tell. More than one battle scar adorns his well-kept physique; excellent physical condition is an asset which he takes great care to maintain. A relatively tall stature and muscular build combine to exude an intimidating presence to those around him.
His dress is simple, consisting of a flowing dark grey outer robe draped over a black tunic underneath. A crimson-bladed lightsaber with a charcoal colored hilt is clipped to his side at all times, ready to strike at a moment's notice. The stark white hair on his head, several inches long, flows freely in the wind and often falls over his unnaturally yellow eyes - giving off a wild and beastly appearance.

Chapter 1: Prologue (Ages 5-12)
Born as an only child to a relatively well-off family on Dantooine, Garok's early years were filled with exploring the outskirts of the small village his family inhabited as well as performing odd jobs for the various townsfolk to make some extra money for himself. His father was a farmer and an elder on the Village Council; his mother took care of the home and tended to the garden, keeping what produce they wanted and selling the excess in the market.
Their small village was primarily the home of farmers and craftsmen, though there were some who commuted to various jobs to a somewhat larger city - if you could call it a city - just a few kilometers away. As Garok explored his own village and the wilderness surrounding it, he would often gaze off in the distance and wonder what lay beyond his sight and experience. The days his parents allowed him to accompany their trips to the nearby city only made his wonder and curiosity grow as he occasionally encountered new cultures and species, especially near the space port, as merchants and travelers came and went.
One day, when he was still a boy, Garok's parents revealed to him that they were both adept at using the force as well as trained with the art of lightsaber combat. They made it clear, however, that they were in no way affiliated with the Jedi, and certainly not the Sith; being trained in the force was a family tradition that had been passed down his father's lineage for generations. From about the age of five and onward Garok received rudimentary instruction in basic force usage.
From this point until he was twelve years old Garok's life consisted of daily chores, education, and force training; he became completely absorbed in his force studies and, in particular, the intricacies of wielding a lightsaber. His father, however, was busier than ever with the Council and the family farm; his mother was still a newcomer to the force herself and could only teach him so much. With increasing frequency Garok requested to be shown more advanced lightsaber techniques and be taught more about the force as a whole; when his parents realized the gravity of his desire, they began to consider ways to grant him further training.
After several weeks of deliberation, it was decided that Garok would go to live with his father's uncle, an old man named Cirdan, who possessed a much deeper knowledge of the force and lightsaber techniques than either of Garok's parents. This man would be able to give Garok very thorough and proper instruction over the course of several years, or longer if Garok so desired. In addition, Cirdan maintained the records of the Raan family's lineage and could fully convey the legacy of their family to Garok. Cirdan's home was located on the planet of Chinine, and thus Garok would get the chance to leave Dantooine for the first time in his life.
The day that Garok and his parents met Cirdan at the spaceport is one Garok would never forget. All he had ever known was his small village, the surrounding wilderness, and the glimpses of the big city he had gathered; he was about to set off on an adventure the likes of which he had never known. That day his parents gave him a parting gift that would remain special to him: a blue lightsaber for him to call his own. Garok said farewell to his parents and boarded Cirdan's modest starship. They had only just been introduced, but Garok had already taken a liking to the kind old man with long flowing white hair who seemed to exude serenity and wisdom. As the ship cleared the atmosphere and entered hyperspace en route to Chinine, the young boy eagerly anticipated what lay ahead of him; all of the the things which he would learn and do in the coming years of his new life.
