Description:
Tycen can be considered the precise description of the old saying, Tall, dark, and handsome, at times at least. his appearance often is depicted by his emotional state, for example. When Tycen is in a good mood, or not really burdened with negative emotions, such as guilt, or depression in general, He can been seen with a close hair cut and clean shaven. However, if he weighted down with something going on his his life, Malone may not shave for days, and forsakes any basic need to maintain his looks.
Attire wise Tycen as always dressed on a formal, to semi-formal level, with uniquely tailored suits, and tunics. Almost always fashioned exclusively black, or white, with deep shades of green, or crimson, he rarely adventures with more then the basics, which for him are more luxurious then most. Tycen wears, on average, four to six layers of clothing, starting with basic undershirts and such, to overshirts, jackets, coats, and more, with most consisting of a thick fabric which gives his appearing a larger one.
Personality
Personality:
Tycen Malone is the arrogant, self centered, and at times, sadistic and merciless First Prince of Terra. Over the years thanks to his upbringing Malone as grown to forge a powerful attachment to his pride, self image, and sense of importance. Considering his own life more important then others, even those he's closest too at times, Tycen seems without a heart more often then not. This severe fear to form a meaningful connection with another person steams from his childhood as well, just like most of his fears.
Malone as a history of mental illness, and is plagued with Phobias and paranoia, again this originates from his younger life, constantly in fear of his father, or death by assassin, he grew up in a world of nothing but danger, from the inside and out. A few of the documented phobias are. Agoraphobia, Paedophobia, Necrophobia, Xenophobia, Pathophobia, And Iatrophobia. All of which were developed at some point in his life, though it is always possible he was born with them.
Tycen As also seemed to be the victim of personality alteration, gradually he would change, from a brash prince whom possessed little to no remorse, to a caring person whom appeared able to do anything, for anyone. This was thought to be a effect depending on whom he was around, as it is with many people, although it was also possible that while on Chinine, during his first use of the Shadow art void, Tycen was, at least partially, consumed by a Kuragari.
After his trip to Corillia, Malone began to display even more changes, returning to a state of normalcy it appeared, not the crazed lunatic he seemed to be at times, nor the overly caring stranger he became around those fortunate few, but the over confident, ego-centric, Prince. However now only one motivator drove him, the allure of revenge for his sister.

History:
Childhood.(Birth-10)
Tycen Malone was born into the reigning Terra royal family. Though one of the youngest members of the dynasty, thanks to his mother's position as Queen Malone, was first in line for the throne, however unworthy and unconditioned for the position his father thought.
Since birth Tycen has been raised with the constant threat of kidnap, and assassination attempts from the lower class citizen who, at the time, were at war with the royal family. brought up indoors for the majority of his life for this very reason, and always moved across the planet from city to city for safety purposes. Tycen never known what a solid home and peaceful existence looked like. And with His father Arrogus consistently looking down on Malone with a scornful gaze that told the all too obvious story of how he felt Tycen was a weakling and would ultimately amount to nothing, the relative security he did feel was further crushed with fear about his own family's possible betrayal.
Surrounded by half brothers, sisters, uncles, ants, nieces, nephews, and more Tycen struggled to form a identity that he could consider his own. Though encompassed by people who cared for him, butlers, maids, nanny's, and more, he never felt there was anyone he could actually depend on, even from a very early age these feelings were presence, however unable he was to describe them. And with the passage of time old faces changed to new ones as the staff members came and went, Tycen slowly came to realize that he could not count on anyone person aside from himself, not entirely.
This would lead to him developing a distant personality, always trying to over compensate, and unwilling to show weakness. He became an arrogant child whom, much like others in the Royal house, put himself on a pedestal that raised him far above the likeness of those slaves whom were only meant to service his family, this ultimately would prove to be the exact reason he had few people to truly care for him during his childhood, as he made himself an easily dispensable child to anyone who personally knew him.
The only people to remain a constant in his life were ones, generally, out to get him. Arrogus, Crimson, Real, they were his closest family and yet, they were a father mad with rage, delusions and deeming with enough power to destroy him in an instant. a mother who could not be counted on for any number of reasons which ranged from assisting in the politics of a city, to fighting a war that she had no business in. And lastly a much older sister who was just entering the family business that was operating and controlling the planet, when she was scene, Real was training in an innumerable number of combat forms, or busy with the political games of the world.
To prove this theory right Arrogus took care to test his son's abilities at every conceivable chance since he was able to talk. To further degrade Tycen, Arrogus praised his elder sister Real, talk of how she was much more suited for the throne and her advanced ability's. while matching each encomium of Real's skill with criticism on whatever Tycen did.
In a, some would later call, insane attempt to prove that he was not destined for the title of king, Arrogus welcomed his son to challenged the trial of lords at seven years old, which made Tycen the youngest ever to attempt it. Generally held in absolute Privacy Arrogus was driven to prove Tycen's inferiority be welcoming a full auditorium and broadcasting the trials live across the planet. The test consisted for several obstacles which were designed to punish the human body both physically and mentally. The young Prince never made it a quarter through and failed measurably in the eyes of close to all of the planets populace
As this mad behavior persisted throughout the years Tycen's mother, Crimson, became his defender over the course of Arrogus' attempts to diminish Tycen. Until one day when Arrogus was in a worse then normal mood, one coupled with the assistance of alcohol, He tried to kill his son. Tycen was spared thanks to Crimson taking the slug meant for him, however it cost her several years as she fell into a coma from the bullet lodged in her brain.
Though Tycen had been exposed to violence numerous times in the past he hadn't witnessed a killing until the day of Crimsons Grief consolidation gala, which was, by every definition, an utterly disgusting event. While the gathering was never labeled as such it felt like more of a party to celebrate the untimely fate that had fallen Crimson, a chance for people who might have known her, even if just by passing, to get completely wasted.
During the social bash a division of armed rebels managed to sneak into the palace and take out the guards, seizing the structure and its inhabitants for nearly five hours until a specialty team neutralized the situation. However during that time Tycen Malone along with several others were forced to watch as other attendants were brutally cut down, roasted, decapitated, gutted, and more. At the end of it all the incident was considered minor compared to what could have happened. Tycen however was changed by the gruesome images he witnessed that day.
Enrollment into the Terra royal military academy.(11-15)
At age Eleven Malone was registered into the Royal Academic Military sanctum, more commonly known as the Terra Royal military academy. He would spend the next several years attending for pursuits in an advanced education, studies to teach and understand major battle tactics from historic engagements throughout Terran Chronicles. He had to further his understanding of politics, history not central to war, critical thinking skills, classes regarding how to properly conduct oneself while in the presence of others, and at all times. These teaching also breached warfare such as beginners, advanced, and experts Swordsmanship ranging from anything to a simple dagger, from vibroblades and swords, to more antique melee weaponry such as reapers and Sabres. That training in armaments extended to ranged weapons and marksmanship such as blaster rifles, pistols, sniper rifles, slug throwers, sonic disputers and more.
While over the years at the academy Tycen did learn all these and more at the start of his first year it was simple things, stun blasters, practice swords, however the challenge of the mind was one that was not let up on simply due to age. Malone would need to face and surpass different theoretical battle simulations set up by the Tudors at the academy every week. A new set of vowels, consonants, nouns, and verbs needed to be memorized and resided each week until Malone fully understood, conceived, could write and speak the original language spoken on Terra, known as Nital. While the option was available and recommended constantly Tycen choose to not dabble any further then basic starship controls and as such is lacking in that field.
During his first year in the academy Malone quickly realized he was the exception, not the rule, when it came to instant and easy achievable success and glory in the academic arts. Several others pulled ahead of him in practically every field required to truly became a great Prince, and one day, King. Due to this continual sensation of inferiority Malone felt he needed to perpetually better himself on every conceivable scale so as to prove his father wrong, and all those who doubted him. Long restless nights were charted each week by the young prince, and when he did sleep his dreams were filled with horrible images which would cause severe night terrors to occur, unfortunately for him, Tycen managed to recall most of the nightmarish visions from his sleep, and they would haunt him throughout the years.
Even when working overtime Malone somehow never bested his class, time and time again he would turn up fourth, third, or on occasion, second. This pattern would endure for the initial three months while in class, up until the point where his elder sister, Real, returned to the capitol from fighting the war for some rest and to catch up with her brother. While in the process she helped him understand and solve many of the complex problems that he was given, and realized that his test were far more difficult then any others within his year, something that was later proven to be an absolute fact when Arrogus confessed that he ordered Tycen put on a higher grade level without notification to the boy.
Consistently under scrutiny and viewed as a degradation by not only his father but many other members of the royal family Tycen began to act out in a bit to prove his worth, Malone in a variety of ways all under the guise of affirming his place as future head of the family. They generally corresponded to a higher degree of immersion and would demand more of a response then simply starting fights, or moves for attention of that sort. Instead he would speak out against political policy regarding numerous subjects, he insisted at one point that nobles had no place amongst the royal bloodline and should be treated just like any other common citizen. And motioned as far as to order palace security to decline permission into the auditorium from anyone less then royalty, meaning no noble parties were at attendance during one of the the conference meetings.
He also, under false pretenses, commanded a garrison of soldiers to raid several bordering villages in search of weapons of mass destruction. Ultimately however both incidents had the direct effect of weakening his standing amongst his father’s inner circle. The former occurrence made a deep rooted impact on relations between several high standing noble parties and the royal line, the ladder had the misfortune to be one of the primary slave labor champs, it inhabitants, forging weapons for the Terran military, a long and drawn out list of circumstances concerning a miss communication between branches of government caused the attack to fallow through before the realization had come to light. Real, Tycen’s full blood elder sister, had suspected for many years that the delay in passing the info across the right channels was thanks only to a direct intervention by one of Arrogus’ underlings.
The events resulted in Tycen’s military authority being drastically reduced, A prince or princess generally holding a standing about equivalent to a major, Tycen’s new command level however gave him powers about on par, if not below, a corporal. Another slap in the face and another stab at his pride Tycen had also been ordered to begin seeing a psychologist on a weekly basis, on the assumption that he would be able to figure out why the child was acting out, although many saw the obvious reason. It was more of a punishment simply done to occupy the boy’s free time in a bid to stop his foolish interfering from affecting politics against Arrogus’ wishes.
Now more of a failure then ever Tycen has become certain that fate has it out for him, one after another nothing ends as it should and time and time again things blew up in his face. Now however, at fifteen, Tycen takes the graduation test, administered at the Academy, his experiences and ever persistent father have made at least one thing simple in his life. Most of the material on the test is all easily completed. He is one of two students to surpass expectations during the test, the other is Trinity Sorel-Malone, whom is advanced and therefore taking the test two years ahead of time.
Relieved that something finally turned out for his better Malone believes this could be the start of a new era, and he would be correct in that assumption. Immediately he enters into the Terrian political game, with Bastion, a long time friend of his mothers, having taken the young learner under his wing. Bastion starts to educate Tycen on the finer workings of the game, from the most powerful inner circle workings, to the up and coming Nobel houses that could have a major say in things as time passes.
Real is also a considerable presence during the initial months. Living in the city during her training she has more time to spend with him. Malone still sees his psychologist twice a week however, under his Father’s order, whom he hasn’t seen in years. The meetings have been yielding more and more results for Tycen, whom has been going to these for several years now. Unbeknown to Malone his psychologist was selected for the express reason that he is a close friend of Arrogus, whom intends to learn the boy’s greatest secrets, fears, and aspirations from his long time friend.
Finally restoring some of his lost reputation with intelligent suggestions, insightful understanding of diligent situations, and charismatic attitude and leadership qualities. It got to the point where Tycen wasn’t instantly synonymous with. “The boy who failed the trial of kings.” A disgrace he still carried. Instead the young lad was referred to with the honor and dignity that were his birthright.
Despite the astounding progress Malone had made on the royal court their was still talk behind his back by high ranking members of the entourage, from upper nobles to powerful officials and, once more, Arrogus’ own inner circle. Along with the underlining level of defamation reared the head of yet another of the king’s convoluted plots to further his kin’s atonement with greatness.
Having positioned Neil Amsterdam has the key functionality of Tycen’s psychologist Arrogus now had access to an immense stratum of leverage against the son to be of age prince. Has a method to measure his growth Arrogus thought it clever to spring the new circumventions during Tycen’s second, and true, trial of kings.
Crown Prince Malone.(16-18)
King’s Trial.(16)
Tycen, now sixteen, is rewarded the opportunity to prove his worth as the heir to the throne. The recourse became open thanks to the steady headway the young prince had made recently in the upper Terrain royal court, arranged in part thanks to Bastion’s influence, Tycen would receive the second chance he felt he deserved.
Arriving at the coliseum escorted by a group of his peers Tycen made his way to the starting platform at the center of the arena, Viewable from all parts of the amphitheater, and planet wide as the event was being broadcast across the globe for the first time by personal request of the king.
As par tradition, the words of the architect were appraised before the ceremony began with Arrogus leading the stadium in adoration. While personally against the belief of a theocracy in relation to three all powerful beings that divided the planet amongst themselves, Malone still joined in the ritual for the sake of public appearances. Soon thereafter the true trials had commenced with Arrogus voicing the beginning of the forty-seventh trial of lords.
The crowd fade away as the lights dim in all but the highlighted arena, generally Malone and his next obstacle. The initial challenge is a race through a rigged canyon path, at the end of which lays the second objection. Low grade explosives are arrange seemingly at random along the canyon floor with several large patches considered “Safe zones” Scattered throughout. There are no rules concerning how one can tackle the challenge aside from survive.
In accordance with that fact Tycen choose to skim the left canyon wall until reaching a safe zone, at which point he would alternate which wall he clang to, and continue down the path until the end, keeping a weary eye just ahead of himself the entire time. Having crossed the first test without delay Malone quickly moves to the next without hesitation or a moment to catch his breath.
Quickly it become evident to the young prince that his physical and psychological prowess was not what he had believed it to be, as the next test would push both to the limit. As he slowly ventured forward the man made smooth surfaces and lighting diminished until there was next to none, a sole holocam fallowed him into a dungeon of sorts that had been constructed under the stadium to house a creature of enormous size; the Duinuogwuin.
Like many Duinuogwuin this creature was a force sensitive being, however, unlike most it was not the kind hearted and even minded guide others were. Pavor Nocturnus had hated every other being in the galaxy, and had an especially fiercely hatred of humans. Well versed in the art of mental crucifixion, and exercises these talents was no strain for the beast now. He infiltrated Malone’s mind while the boy crept through the darkness, seeping his sickness thoroughly through the boy’s mind, but a child to the mystic beast Pavor choose to play with him.
Conjuring the image of his mother, has good has dead to Tycen by this point. He taunted Tycen with the loss of the only being that truly loved him, that he would never see her again, not in her right mind at least. Eventually Malone was pushed to the breaking point, in fact it didn’t take long at all, maybe an hour. However the bombardment only worsened as he gave in to the fear. three days had passed and most believed him dead, however oddly enough, at sunset on the third Malone emerged from the cove exit pale faced and shaken. He collapsed instantly and was collected from the stadium soon after.
Having elapsed into a coma for three weeks Malone is treated for his physical wounds and thanks to Real, his mental ones, to a degree. Having returned from the front lines after hearing the news Real prompted the arrival of a venturing jedi knight to aid her brother, while the man claimed to only be versed in the force and not actually a knight, He denied her pleas informing her that it wasn’t his place, not being a jedi, to interfere with the affairs of worlds. The same could not be said for his young student, Sagacious Sapdonimous, otherwise known as Sage.
A young titan female Sage had been picked up by her master, A most emanate man by the name of Davan, ten years prior on Terra. They were making a second trip to the world for various purposes, one of which being to visit her family, Davan feeling it would help her training if she received closure concerning them. Real led Sage to Malone whom she immediately proceeded to attempted and help. After a few hours of what seemed like Progress she left with little more then a word returning the next day, only now with Davan.
After convincing him to at least look at the young man Davan fallowed his apprentice's word and came. He quickly dismissed Real and Sage as he worked solemnly on Tycen within the chamber. after an hour passed he reemerged granting Real a single nod to indicate he had finished his work and moved on. after a few more days passed he awoke with no recollection of the event that had transpired. Arrogus was kept in the dark about the visit from the force users so has to insure he did not interfere.
Abeyance.(16)
Shortly after the trauma of the King’s trial passed and things had settled down Tycen life return to a state of normalcy, perhaps more normal then it had ever been even. Tycen had been moving around with Real since he was discharge from the hospital to avoid the abuse of his father and the eyes of the court. While some felt that Real dragging her brother around behind her only endangered him more she known Arrogus was a greater threat then most realized.
Tycen would travel to some of the far more desolate corners of world with his sister. From the deep Sutherland's of Palus Nomus to the high northern deserts of Fervens Mons Montis. Tycen more often then not remained behind at whatever hut they had taken temporary refuge in. There were rare occasions in which Malone would accompany his sister when it came to missions that were of a more diplomatic nature.
On various occasions disputes would arise between neighboring Villages, the ones Real attempted to unite under Royal rule, and fighting would break out. In such events Tycen took on a more serious rule as her company during these negotiations, he would fight along side her, to ultimately end the fighting of course. Generally Real would be beside him at all times during such operations.
Despite all her precautions however Tycen still fell into harms way. During what appeared to be a run of the mill assignment to a remote village located several clicks to the capitol, which would be the closest Malone had been in months, during what was supposed to be routine trade negotiations the village was attacked by a large force of rebels whom had been tipped off concerning the royal presence on scene unescorted. The raid, if it could be called that, was a quick in and out with only two shots fired, one stun blast to each.
Rebel Captivity.(17)
Awakening in a dark, damp, chamber Tycen found himself a POW captured by the primary gorilla faction active on Terra at the time. Alone and uncertain regarding his future Tycen had no idea how long he’d been here, what happen to his sister, or rather or not he’d make it out of this situation. Within an hour two men entered the room with numerous devices of torture and from then on out interrogations were common place.
Tycen didn’t hold out for much longer then three hours before giving up the information they wanted, with the promise that the torture would stop once they learned whatever he could offer, which was surprisingly disappointing to the gorillas. Considering the time they used to crack him an absolute waste and the little knowledge of value that was gleaned disproportionate when compared to the time and researches it took to set up the capture and finally catch him.
However useless he seemed the commander of that subsection decided it might be a good idea to keep him alive, for now, Has a last minute trump card in the event that they need a bargaining chip, or to trade hostages. A decision that was highly unpopular with the majority of the troops, however Tycen would live, no not live that wasn’t quite the term he’d use to describe that time, he survived amongst the rebels for eight months after the initial capture and his quick fall.
Living in the small ten by ten space assigned to him Tycen was to never speak unless spoken too, was given four servings of water a day, and one meal. He wore one set of clothes the entire time and use allowed only to use a pipe to facilitate in the disposal of his daily waste, and was allowed to bath once every two weeks, and even then it was only him getting washed down by a pressure hose.
Eventually some turn of power happened within the ranks of the gorilla faction and a new leader was elected, and among his first orders was to get the vengeance his people deserved and to do that Tycen Malone would be the first of much royal blood spilled. Two guards moved with righteous purpose yanking Malone from his cell and dragging him to the fire range they had set up. Shoving him into the first spot of daylight he’d seen since the capture Tycen found a small assembly gathered to Herold his demise.
Screaming invective obscenities and abominable accusations as he passed, throwing garbage, and spitting Malone had been dragged through the peoples’ he’s family had hurt in someway until they finally reached a crucifix like mounting structure from which he was strapped to by both his arms and legs and left for the people. Hours passed with them mocking, hating, and throwing stones, feces, and other objects.
At this time the decision was made between the two apparent officers to dispose of Tycen, ending his suffering. However just has the firing squad lined up an explosion shook the ground has ships darted by dropping bombs. drop ships landed nearby expending their load of soldiers has an all out battle began to rage across the barren landscape. After the area was secured soldiers swept trough cutting Malone down and evacuation him from the battle zone back to one of the major Terran cities.
Several days in the hospital, and with some therapy, later Tycen was discharged and met with Real, whom had been just returning from the last sweeper operations. She explained that on the way to the base the convoy that had taken her was attack by Terran royal forces thus rescuing her before they ever neared the base, however the terrorist, in case just such an event happened, separated the two thus making Tycen’s rescuing much more difficult.
In fact she went on to detail the fact that he was believed KIA, and his seat has the legitimate hair had been replaced, however it was not by her. She continued to explain that finding him in the first place had to be a miracle considering that was a raid only recently planed. Tycen demanded to know who the new heir was, regardless of his chances of taking the chair back, and received his answer; Schneizel.
Finishing the Fight.(17)
After weeks of trying to figure a way back into the throne Tycen still had no inkling as to how he would accomplish this task, however that would change soon enough. As his plea was once again rejected by the royal court to officially acknowledge him as the heir to the throne Tycen found an ally in one Auspicious ally on the royal administrative. Bastion, whom had long since been a companion on several of his sister’s missions.
Bastion offered what sounded like an obvious answer to his problems, and one he had brushed away earlier. Strike a crippling blow against the rebels, one so powerful they wouldn’t be able to recover, and win the hearts of all once more. However the actuality of this plan seemed far more difficult then the talk of it, and it was, that was no secret and Bastion never attempted to make it one.
The first step was acquiring enough forces to combat the enemy, and with the newly procured Raptor-Class Imperial Corvette already assigned to be captained by Bastion that much was not a problem, It was a part of a space trade bill currently in rotation around the court. Nevertheless amassing troops and enough fighters to ensure a total victory would be difficult. Bastion informed Tycen to allow him to handle it all and within a week they’d be ready to launch the assault, so figuring it was the best course of action Tycen did permit Bastion to speak on his behalf for the week.
During the time he had free Tycen asked his sister to further assist in his force training, informing her that of late he’s senses have evolved leading him to the conclusion that he must have been sensitive. While not a master Real was of a knight’s level and decided to see if her younger brother was up to snuff when it came to the force, at least for the week. She took him where her master trained her, the garden of the royal palace.
The location was, according to Real, a perfect place to train as its natural energies would calm the mind, body, and spirit. She also warned Tycen that while skilled she wasn’t a true master, and the process might be a little slow. He acknowledged that but chose to stick with her for the time being, considering any other force user on the planet was forbidden from teaching him by order of Arrogus.
In the week of training the two covered the very basics of force usage, sensing, the little tingles on the back of your neck, that stuff, nothing extraordinary, but better then nothing at all. However the time flew by faster then ether realized and despite the progress Tycen needed to hear Bastion’s plan, and Real said it was probably for the best anyway, considering the unofficial standing on the subject.
Bastion asked Real to stay, to both siblings surprise, as he explained the forces they now had under command, and further elaborated with the fact that the Court is more likely to pass on a mission with two supervising commanders accompanying Tycen, Bastion had an incredible track record with missions and was well renown through the royal court, and Real was the king’s first born prodigy child whom was fast on her way to succeeding him it appeared.
Real of course agreed to help her brother in anyway possible, and known that ultimately this would help her out of taking the throne, a responsibility she didn’t want to have to carry. Bastion was delighted by the reply and quickly went to get the mission passed by the royal court, leaving the more through battle plan he’d charted with the two. Flipping the file open Tycen was shocked by the level of detail within, even for him, someone who’d studied combat logistics most of his life, this was a surprisingly large amount of detail, even where the battle would take place, and how long it would be.
The two realized that the majority of his information came from an inside informant which was at least in part the reasoning for the great deal of description with the plan. It was all to go down in three days, which was too long for Tycen whom had waited for this day since he returned. The next three were spent preparing for the battle at hand, Real meditated, Bastion further analyzed, and Tycen trained until he was summoned to dawn his armor and brandish his weapons.
This would be the first time he holstered the DL-44 heavy blaster pistol who would use years from the day. Along with it Tycen had a vibrosword long since lost, and two daggers along with various frags and energy clips. Tycen wore a light combat suit, his traditional black, and left for the ship, titled, Diluculo. The ship began its maiden voyage as Tycen, Real, And Bastion went to end the long running civil war.
Many referred to the fight as the twilight eclipse as the emergence of the Diluculo blocked the view of the Terran skyline of hundreds of thousands as it streaked passed and into the haze of combat. the battlefield would in later years be honored with a memorial in the name of those fallen during the action and renamed nex cubile as a reminder of what took place the day of combat.
Entering the large industrial town called Rgis Specus the bombers who tagged along with Diluculo began the bombardment of the confirmed enemy stronghold without warning to the town’s none combatant children, as any sign of them leaving their homes would be obvious give away. Therefore the deaths of these people had already been condoned by the royal court After the initial run. which succeeded in luring the enemy out of hiding. The attack fighters went into action destroying everything between their laser sights systematically, no real threat was ever posed to the fighters, save for a few stray rockets here and again. Their job was to keep any heavy armor off of the Diluculo.
As the battle progressed the clear defeat of the enemy became obvious, however that did not excuse the very real possibility of the insurgency rising again, and for that reason a mop up team had been assembled from early on to deal with any stragglers, by capturing them for a later public execution which would serve to show what happens when you attempt and defy the Royal court. Though not an original member of the squad Tycen convinced Real, and Bastion, to allow him to lead it, which they did.
Heading to the ground with a transport of thirty more soldiers, Tycen gradually found, disarmed, and incarcerated over a hundred-fifty POWs who would be sent back home to a concentration camp until he arrived to personally deal with the execution. This would be it, his return, he could feel it as if that day’s festivities had already begun. After the Swift capture of so many enemy soldiers the operation came to an immediate close, no reinforcements came to help them, no Calvary arrived. They were captives, and good as dead already. The ship began it voyage back to the golden city of angels as Tycen sat by watching as they approached this destination, no amount of sleep could cool his nerves.
Crown Prince once more.(18)
The day of their return the entire attack force were treated like Kings, a fest thrown in their honor, woman falling at their feet, riches beyond imagination. However one not so marry fellow struck out like a sore thumb. Tycen Malone did not care for the treatment he had already received when he was the true successor. However the surprising appearance of Sage, the force wielder whom had aided in his recovery after the King’s trial, prompted Tycen to ask for a dance, to which she accepted. Having felt her presence before Tycen was able to recognize her, and wanted a chance to get to know the woman who saved him.
Gradually that night warn on, however at a rabidly alternate pace it also grown more amusing as he spent it with Sage, getting to know the woman who helped him during a time that seemed so very distant now. And even further away after several rounds of hard alcohol until all his sorrows were washed away in a swirl of booze. Eventually however, like all things, that night had to come to a close.
The following morning the executions were announced to the people of the world, they’d be broadcast live with an attendance in the stadium of well over twenty-two thousand. Having been specifically reserved a front row seat Tycen entered the arena with Sage, whom he’d spent the previous night with. While she was not in anyway noble, and definitely not royal, blood Tycen was allowed a plus one, and whiling a public execution wasn’t the ideal example of a first date, such things were considered commonplace on the planet therefore the two going as a pair didn’t seem very far out of place.
The ceremony, that’s what they called it in the hierarchies of society, began with a formal welcome and honoring of the men and woman who served in the operation, along with very specific honors toward the high chain of command, Starting with Bastion, then Real, and lastly Tycen himself. After the long running speech had ended the Vetus Rex Rgis called forth the prisoners and gradually they were eliminated one by one, with various means.
Tycen had a sideline role until the very last man, the insurgencies primary faction leader Elis Quoin As he was summoned to the blood spattered, body filled foreground, so was Tycen’s name called as a “Celebrity executor.” As he rose however Sage asked him, begged him not to take the life of a defenseless man, it wouldn’t do anything to help him in seizing the thrown, only turn him a little more into his father.
After a hasty debate Malone agreed to her request, and played it off as such. There were several cries of disapproval but for the most part people seemed to have related with his decision, a curious crowd Malone mused at the time, how given the fact he’d done what they asked for years, and never earned their grace. Yet after listening to the whims of one they swoon over the fact?
After the execution was through, to Sage’s supreme joy, Tycen was summoned to the royal palace, surely for his reintegration as the crown prince Tycen surmised. The odd sensation of things going his way fell over the young Prince, for once his father wasn’t controlling the outcome of every little thing, Bastion was right, if he had the people’s love the king couldn’t do much to him.
Arriving with his date wrapped around his arm Tycen would be honored in a planet wide celebration which rung in his successful return with minimal casualties. Though notably lacking was Arrogus, to no ones surprise. However Malone did not mind the lack of his presence, in fact he preferred it. It showed that Tycen now had a footing in the family, and that he was to scared to face that fact. After another evening of shaking hands and faking smiles, all the while with Sage at his side, Tycen was awarded at the end of the end the title of Crown prince once again.
A Posse Ad Esse, From Possibility to Actuality.(18-20)
Political Sanction(18)
However loved and respected he had become with the people, Tycen remained something of a joke within the inner circles of the royal family, and if Arrogus had things his way, still would not be crown prince. Positive that everything he’d been credited with was only embellishments of Real, or Bastion’s actual actions the King looked even further down his nose upon Tycen, the ligament heir to the throne in his eyes. Yet regardless of that desire the King could have next to anything, except, his advisers consistently told him, the removal of his Son from the credited seat.
This infighting lead to questions from out of the known noble family’s about the structure of the Royal bloodline, and as was a constant threat, if their power were contested they could be overthrown by a strong noble family. Doe to this ever lingering possibility several members of the royal bloodline, not just Arrogus, started to become paranoid regarding the ever increasing chances of a coup d'état. The fear steeped so deeply throughout the inner organs of the family that even lower lineage descendants, those who had received tenth and beyond, positions for the throne feared that an assassination plot could be devised against them.
This constant worry was considerably increased the closer one was to inheriting the moniker of King, or Queen, Which meant that Tycen’s chances of survival had diminished drastically. The continual state of panic drove Malone mad, already aggravating long since past memories of nightmares and crippling restrictions regarding what he could do, and where he was allowed to go returned. The imagine of assassin’s from his childhood resurfaced along with what they brought with them, forced to live everyday in fear hiding in the palace like a caged rat, just as his early childhood had been.
Panic attacks soon became commonplace, along with extreme paranoia and considerable delusions and old phobias coupled with the other symptoms. In general he spend his day within his room allow only two visitors, Real and Sage, but had to submit to a random question which only they’d know the answer to before entering. Eventually it grew to the point that he wouldn’t even allow the servants in to clean the residence, or leave it to utilize the “Facilities.” The point came when Tycen was struck with illness, but refused any doctors’ assistance, recalling a past event where, as a child, he went to see the doctor who was a double agent for the rebels.
He’d line up bottles of waste outside the door for Servants to dispose of late in the night when they wouldn’t be working. Sage had to play the rule of doctor as his sickness grew to the point that it couldn’t be ignored, and as the news of actually family deaths began, all seemingly be accident, Tycen grew more manic. The time came where Real asked Bastion if he could do anything, choosing to help the young woman Bastion would play the rule of a sanctioned Arbiter forcing his way into the room to give Tycen a deal.
He offered Tycen the chance to forge an alliance so powerful any of the noble families would be absolute fools to attempt and trifle with, he told him that it was an ancient covenant spanning as far back as the royal decree. Its members consisted of some of the most powerful men and woman on the planet, and that with this new found alliance now only could he crush Arrogus if he so choose, he could easily outmatch the powers of the greatest noble houses military strength combined. While the option was a viable one, the need never arose to further seduce Tycen into the idea with the force, he had come to the conclusion that this would work on his own, and thus played further into Bastions plans.
Axis of Evil.(18)
The first meeting of the group Bastion spoke of took place down the hall from Tycen’s quarters. which, while risky for the majority of the members involved, was necessary for him to trust them. Having been the first time he would leave the chambers in well over a month Tycen treated every step like his last until finally rushing for the room. Sage, nor Real, were present to assist him in this endeavor, as requested of Bastion.
Once inside the room Tycen found it occupied with, not physical entities as he expected, holovized copies of the men and woman whom rostered the Alcard. Many of them never before seen faces Tycen did recognize a few members of noble houses here and there, which would carry weight as to why no attack would be launched against him so long as he was involved. Also the Vetus Rex Rgis seemed to be a key member, being one of few to actually appear in the flesh, as he lived in the castle.
The Vetus Rex Rgis was the former king, and Arrogus’ father, which of course would make him Tycen’s grandfather, however the two had never really communicated before the execution. Now standing before Tycen he told him the plan they had brewed to elect a new era in which Arrogus would have no power, and should the opportunity present itself, be permanently removed. However it called for one thing, an influential and adored leader, which was what Tycen had become.
The immediate problem they faced was Tycen’s recent disappearance, the masses were fickle as the wind and would have shifted to another hero to admire in his absence, this called for an event to reaffirm Malone’s place as a figurehead in the royal bloodline. When Tycen asked what he should do, the Vetus Rex Rgis assured him that when the opportunity presented itself he would know what to do.
After the meeting several days went by without incident, Tycen spending those days with Sage for the most part, however he did again spend them publicly and not hidden in the palace eastern wing like before. On this seemingly normal day the first reports of deaths inside the royal family began streaming in, and gradually started increasing, all sighted toward the same individual. Eventually a description, however vague of one it may have been, of the culprit was released. Tycen realized this was the moment they spoke of before, and immediately headed for the department of domestic affairs to retrieve this description.
Sage choose to travel with him, crediting that this didn’t feel right as more then enough reason to do so. Tycen would allow it, sure that the Axis would not care about her presence during the man hunt. Stepping into the office he quickly received the description and a rough sketch and started back out the door toward the assassin’s last known location. The Argentum district in the western quadrant of the city. While on his way there Tycen received a call from Bastion whom informed him of the killer’s location, shortly after hanging up with him Sage inquired as to whom it was, Tycen informing her that it was simply an anonymous tip.
Tycen acted like he investigated the area for a few minutes before telling the security forces and Sage that he had a feeling through the force that the man was headed north, and after going in the direction for several blocks Tycen stopped and informed the security detail that he was hidden with the abandoned warehouse he’d come to a halt in front of. While skeptical the captain ordered his team to check it out, and as promised the killer was there.
However he wasn’t willing to go in peacefully and attempted to run, jumping from the second story window down to street level. Tycen gave pursuit chasing him through crowded alleyways, and through market places, pushing passed denizens of the city until finally catching him with a rather impressive tackle, in front of the architect of destruction’s shrine. A large audience was conveniently presence at the time, all of whom were very impressed with the young man’s skill and ability.
The incident further amplified the idea that Tycen was the true Architect reborn, and the news quickly spread like wildfire citing him as a savior. Most seemed to ignore the ladder part of that legend, which ultimately was a good thing for him considering. However it seemed a few had caught onto the game that Bastion, he, and the Alcard were playing. A few rogue news stations reporting the possibility of foul play. Latter that week anyway who breathed a word of it died in a tragic “Accident.”
