Bio: (Age 0-10)
Ash was born on Chandrilla to two Corellians, one an ex-jedi. Because of the Jedi blood, Ash was sought out by the Jedi Order, and as soon as he was able to walk, he was brought to Coruscant to be trained. Even at a young age, he was causing hell, and as he began to talk, he began to make wisecracks.
By the time he was Six, Ash was thought to be a protege, as he caught on quickly to whatever was shone to him, and mastered any concept faster than the other initiates around him. He progressed quickly within his clan, and was the first to handle a training lightsaber within his clan.
He was able to properly utilize simple force techniques, such as telekinesis. He also memorized the Jedi Code, and learned the meaning behind each tenant by the time he was eight. Ash was quite good when it came to combat with a lightsaber. He learned to center himself and empty his mind when going up against a training droid, but when it came to sparring against a fellow initiate, he provoked them into making mistakes by utilizing different methods, such as name calling and generally making fun of them. He was reprimanded quite a few times for that, despite saying it was all only a joke.
Despite just turning 10, Ash was accepted as a Jedi Padawan to a Female Twi'lek Jedi Knight by the name of Talus Mor. She was a young knight, and Ash was her first apprentice. They would continue training together long after the distruction of the Jedi Order and the formation of the Empire.
(Age 11-13)
This time was spend mainly on Coruscant, save for missions spend off planet. Seeing as Talus was a new Knight with a new padawan, the masters wanted to keep an eye on them for a short while. Talus was a Jedi Guardian, and knew much about lightsaber combat, and taught the child much about what he knows now in combat. Though they focused less on learning the force, Ash was still taught more about it, especially how to use the environment in any sort of situation. He proved able to make noises around a room to make distractions in a fight. When he was 12, he already mastered the first form of lightsaber combat, prompting Talus to teach the near teenager more advance lightsaber skills.
Ash enjoyed his missions with Talus, especially one with quite a bit of danger involved. Ash's fearlessness could have led him to the darkside if he wasn't careful, but Talus never seemed to worry about her apprentice. Ash would display considerable skill in working with people, persuading them to help one way or another. Sometimes he would need to find other ways to work around people when persuasion failed him.
He took his first Jedi Trial, the Trial of Skill, shortly before he was 13, despite his young age. His test was him against one of the battle masters of the order. It was the only on on Coruscant as the others were off on their little peace-keeping missions. There were other Masters, knights and padawans present in the room at the time, including Talus. Ash was usually on the offensive, and in one of the times when he was on the defensive, used the force to call his master's lightsaber off her belt to his hand and surprise the battle master, which was enough to end the test right there.
Not too long after Ash turned 13, the Order began to feel stress. War had started within the Republic, and the order was being stretched out. Ash and his master were sent on many different missions, mainly scouting missions. This didn't last long, as the Republic and the Jedi fell to the Sith Empire, the pair to go into hiding. During this time of exile, Ash's life was truly open.
(Age 14-18)
Despite being in Exile, Talus continued to teach Ash more and more about the force. At the start of this exile, they rid their jedi clothes for those more akin in blending in. This included Ash ridding himself of the customary padawan braid. Next came transport in the form of a Dynamic-class freighter. A portion of the cargo bay was modified for combat practice, and a spare room for meditation. Ash was the primary pilot of the craft. In order to make money, they took up smuggling, helping out the newly found federation and her allies.
The two worked with other smugglers often, learning tricks of the trade from those more experienced. It was normally Ash who would do most of the work, despite his young age. Working with other smugglers and constant meeting with people who normally made his master cringe, Ash picked up skills such as pick-pocketing and conning people to do his bidding. The force made things easier like this.
Ash also took up practice in stealth when too many deals went bad. In order to get their full pay or other reward, Ash was taught how to be sneaky in order to get what was rightfully his. One Smuggler who they worked with for a while was quite skilled in stealth, and taught the young teen how to be stealthy and get around people without having them notice him. This included using the force to silence his footsteps and cause minor distractions to get the attention of nearby people, making it easier to sneak around.
Not long after Ash turned 15, when they were on Manaan, a Sith Lord discovered them and attacked. It was a hard battle, causing Talus to get wounded protecting them, but they managed to at least get away from the Sith and escape from the planet, and hide out near Kessel for a few days, before making their way to Tatooine.
Being away from the Jedi Order wasn't doing Talus or Ash much good. Ash was becoming older and maturing into a fit and smart man, who began to look at women differently, including his master. He kept his feelings to himself, but the time the two spend together let Talus know what he was feeling, and she told her padawan that nothing can become of them.
They continued training with lightsabers, as well as their smuggling career well until Ash was almost 17. Talus gave in to her feelings and she as Ash shared an intimate relationship, which continued for a while.
Ash and Talus never actively got involved with the war, and decided not to immediately join up with the renewed Jedi. Instead, the two continued their work as Smugglers. They often found their work on Ord Mantell or some other planet renown for its work with smugglers. This line of work allowed the natural manifestation of the force with them, allowing them to cause static in a holocam or flash the memory of a cam or droid, erasing them from it. It was simple after some practice with it.
Ash wasn't quite 18 yet when Talus was killed by a Sith Lord. In fact, it was the same Sith they fought with on Manaan, only this time they were on Tatooine. Talus was dispatched halfway though the fight, prompting a darkside rage to form within Ash. The angered man kept up his attack with the Sith, who was wounded before killing Talus. He managed to get the upper hand using a jar'kai against the Sith, and, despite taking scarring wounds to his upper arms and a stab through his left shoulder, beheaded the man. This completed two of the Jedi Trials: Courage and Flesh.
Ash treated his wounds as best he could, which wasn't very well seeing the cuts and gashes his arms and torso obtained in the fight. After getting a few hours of rest once his wounds were treated, he went back to recover his Master's body, after burning the Sith Lord's.
He burried his master's body in the sands of Tatooine, and meditated for days on her grave, forsaking his body's need for food and water. During this time, he looked with himself to figure out what his master wanted him to do. Before he found the answer, he was told by the force ghost of his master, that he needed to face his inner darkness. It manifested as a darkside apparition of himself, along as his master. In almost slow motion, or so it seemed to him, he exchanged strikes with himself and his master's darkside doppelgangers, killing his darkside self and incapacitating his master, completing the Trial of Spirit.
When Ash awoke, he saw his late master's shining blue face smiling at him. He reached out for the force ghost, and passed right through her, which saddened him. Talus's last words was to live life how he wanted, be it with the Jedi or something else. That in mind, he went back to the Jedi.
Ash met with the current counsel, and told his story of the past years he and his master spent, leaving out any word of their relation. After some debate, Ash was formally knighted after accomplishing the trials. It took but a handful of days before Ash formally left the order, taking only his and his master's lightsaber with him.
(Age 18-21)
After leaving the order, Ash joined the Republic navy as a Pilot, using his super reflexes to the best of his advantages. Even though he spend much time in the cockpit of his fighter, he also made sure to stay on the top of his game in terms of his lightsabers, making sure that he was well disciplined in that form of combat. He did get into some fights with other pilots during his training period but they proved to be no match for the once jedi.
Ash kept his past life as a jedi and portions of his life as a smuggler hidden from his new life, as he didn't want anyone to know what he use to do. As far as anyone knew, he was just some guy who had quick reflexes and excelled whatever he put his mind to.
He couldn't keep his jedi past away when he was assigned to his unit: a cruiser patrolling the outer rim territories. One member of Ash's squadron found one of his lightsabers left on a workbench, and the truth eventually got out. No one seemed to care about working with a once jedi. In fact, they seemed to think that it would help them all in their missions.
Ash trained with blaster pistols during his time in the Republic, so he didn't need to constantly rely on his lightsabers when it came to a fight. It didn't mean that he would never use them, but some more range was a good alternative. He also got in some blaster rifle training, and became a decent shot. He was better with pistols though.
There were a number of different species in Ash's squadron, and each was willing to teach Ash some of their language. In their off time, in exchange for different stories and even some training in melee combat, Ash learned how to speak a handful of different languages.
Ash also learned some basics of hacking computers. He never really cared for it. What he did care for more was mechanical work. He loved working with his hands, and would help out repair a fighter if it became damaged in a firefight.
Just after Ash turned 21, when he was just about to get out of the Republic, his fighter was shot down by pirates over the planet Cholganna. He managed a somewhat safe landing, but it still knocked him unconscious when he hit the forest floor.
The landing site was right on top of a Nexu nest. Ash, once awake, stumbled out of his wrecked fighter, and looked at the damage he had done. Alien blood was all over the area, but there was one life he felt close by. Moving the dead body of a adult Nexu with the force, there was a small ball of white looking up at him. Ash sent out calming and soothing thoughts though the force as he moved to pick up the baby Nexu, which sunk its teeth into his hand.
Ash didn't mind much, as a bacta patch would heal that up quickly. Ash brought the angry feline to his fighter, where he dug out some rations, and fed some to the baby. It didn't take long for the young thing to become attached to him after some food. That night, the young Nexu laid in Ash's lap and slept, staying warm in the enclose cockpit of the fighter.
Over the next couple of days, there was no rescue party sent out, leaving Ash stranded with just one companion, which, though the force, discovered that it was a female nexu, and named her Neko. Together, the two set out to fine some way off the planet.
After two days of walking, and fallowing the force, Ash found a pirate base, with a few transports waiting. When it grew dark, Ash silently snuck onto a transport, and stole it. He was chased through the atmosphere and space, but eventually made it off the planet.
(Age 22-24)
No longer a Jedi, and thought to be dead within the Republic, Ash got in touch with some of his old contact from years past, and took up smuggling again. Along with Neko, who would listen only to him, he became quite a reliable smuggler, and people also learned not to go back on their word or double cross him.
Smuggling eventually grew to be a bore to Ash and the nearly full grown Neko, and they decided to take up bounty hunting. The nexu was the perfect partner for tracking prey on planets, even if their prey was small-timers who had a bounty for stupid crap. Still, money was money, and it kept the two going.
Ash did run into some trouble with the law during a smuggling job. The Republic decided to stop his ship, and before they boarded it, learned that it was stolen, and demanded he surrender. With a wisecrack, Ash jetted away from the Republic ship and into hyperspace. He went strait for the smugglers moon, where he sold the transport and bought a Dynamic-Class Freighter with a clean title. He nicknamed the ship Bad Kitty.
This ship was painted a non-reflective gray with dark red stripes around the cockpit and the upper and lower portions of the hull, giving it a rough W or M look when observed from above or below. It was already modeled to be faster and sturdier, which was perfect for Kazuma. He didn't mind the weapons so much. Kazuma was able to pilot the vehicle himself while Neko slept in a portion of the cargo area meant just for her. During trips, Ash found plenty of time to meditate and keep all his skills up to par. As of now, he is only working as a smuggler for whoever needs him most, He would only go back to bounty hunting if they pay was enough for him. Usually, he tried to stick to smuggling.
