Born on Coruscant in a bad neighborhood, Candice was forced to grow up quicker than most children. At a young age, when gangs ran rampant in the slums, she turned to her stories and studies, spending hours every day reading about whatever she could get her hands on. A quiet, nerdy girl, who did well in school, and aside from a few school fights, did very well academically as well. But such an environment still hardens a young lady, molds them either bad or good. She had a heightened sense of morals, and opted to go the way of dockyard security, which essentially was the police.
She did very well on the book smarts side of that, as well as the athletic side, quickly becoming a renowned agent. Every day she helped nabbed bad guys, stop smugglers, arrest everyone from common thieves all the way up to murderers. They weren't welcome in the capital. For a lot of people, this is where their career would have plateaued. But she was invited into detective work... which become forensics...which became secret security, which eventually lead to becoming a spy. Speaking sixteen different alien tongues in their native accents, with a security level that allows her to kill diplomats, provided they were a security breech to the republic. Not that she's ever needed to.
When the Jedi are sent in on a joint mission with republic secret services, often times it is Miss Parouske they will be dealing with. Unknown to her, the Jedi actually came to her door when she was a little girl, and were declined by her mother. She is a gifted woman with untapped potential, and if she ever figured it out, she just might make a good jedi some day.
Combat Elements
First and foremost, her conditioning. She is agile and alert during a fight, letting her opponent make the mistakes while she capitalizes. She utilizes parkour, abusing her agility and lack of fear to travel dynamically over tall or risky objects that would trouble seasoned soldiers who have heavy gear. Her force sensitivity helps as well, giving her an uncanny sense of timing and urgency. She knows when to jump and how to take a fall should the need arise.
She has trained in Akido style hand to hand self defense training. Her philosophy in battle is to avoid and disarm, and use the opponent's momentum against them. She has received weapons training with all manner of fire arms and explosives, including various grenades and projectiles - shotguns, pistols, automatics, sniper blasters.
She's quite dangerous in a cab or fighter as well, as she is a splendid pilot, and seems to know how to drive just about any vehicle she gets into. Often times though, said machine will be destroyed when she leaves it. She certainly makes full use of it.
Non-Combat Related Training
She has a degree in chemistry and forensics, both attained through primarily on the job experience. She has taken language training, and has an affinity for picking up words and sounds quickly with proper pronunciation. She's also a very good bluffer/actress, able to imitate specific people and sounds precisely. She can sound exactly like a dog, a specific male politician, or an insect. In school she had high grades across the board, and she is well cultured in everything from astronomy to history. A lot of people think she isn't human due to her ability to walk into a room, take attendance of sixty people, and repeat each and every one of their names back to them without ever having previously met them. But she isn't super human, she just has a remarkable memory, and parrot-like repeat reflex.
