Bio:
Apart of the quickly dying Taung species, Kal is a member of Clan Shogun, a Mandalorian clan who’ve been fierce loyalists of the ruling Mandalores since the beginning and honored combatants against Force-Sensitives. Quite honored and Elites during the Mandalorian Wars, the clan have lost prestige in the death of Mandalore the Ultimate and the defeat of their people on Malachor V about 60 years ago. Forced into Jedi Hunters and mercenaries, Shogun begins their climb back to glory in the Mandalorians’ growing threat, now with young Kal apart of it.
Training since youth to be a Clan warrior, Kal have sparred with his fellow clansmen-human and otherwise-in martial arts, swordsmanship, and controlled firefights. Growing up was tough, like any day, and he succeeded to surpass most. However he haven’t grown as skilled in swordsmanship as he should, but he knows firearms is a important aspect in life now, but is still capable of close-quarter combat when needed.
His rite of passage came in the form of hunting a powerful apex predator called a Kisut, a massive feline-like beast with durable leather skin and iron claws that have killed careless veterans before. To kill a Veteran-slayer was a great honor that many would fight for. Leading a small group of novices, it took Kal and his hunting pack weeks to search for one in the dense forest, and the first sight of it caused them the last of one comrade. Following its trail towards the mountains, they set traps and lured the cat into a death trap.
Yet despite being wounded, the Kisut continued to fight back and managed to kill a few others before Kal and the survivors crippled it with spears and poisoned arrows. The death blow came with Kal stabbing the beast in the eye with a stone-bladed knife that he still keep as a memento and the surviving few returned with the teeth and fur of the mighty beast.
A couple years later, Kal wishes to prove himself worthy of the clan, and restore the honor lost with the deaths of Jedi in his wake. However he knows he is inexperienced and must learn to better himself before facing a Jedi personally. Thus, he thrives to succeed in the battles ahead and adapt to the promise of war in honor of Shogun and the Mandalorians.
