Bio: Denzin was discovered by a Jedi named Ula Nov on his home world of Dorin, a world in the Expansion region. Born as a son of a Baran Do sage, his father at first refused his son to be given away. However Ula persuaded Denzin’s father that his son would have a better life. Taken by Ula to be trained to be a Jedi on Coruscant, his early years as a youngling was the same as any other who was on their way to becoming a Jedi. Living his entire youth at the Jedi Temple until the age of reaching the title of
padawan learner.
Denzin became an apprentice of the Jedi who found him. Ula took Denzin to many planets and showed him the many wonders of the galaxy. On each planet Denzin visited, Ula taught him the different cultures and explained to him that even though each species are different and unique, the force flows in all living being making every person deserving of the same privileges and rights. Learning from these experiences molted Denzin passive and tried to resolve conflict without violence.
Once while traveling through the dangerous Crimson Corridor, Denzin was ambushed by a small group of thieves. Denzin was traveling alone heading for his Master after they were separated through the crowded streets. Denzin first hid behind a pile of crates as the thieves fired at him. Afraid to put his training to good use, he sat there helpless. Realizing he was all alone, and no help would come; the young padawan gain courage to deflect the shoots that came his way. Denzin stood his ground until the thieves ran out of ammunition.
Denzin now had the advantage and walked towards them demanding them to leave him alone. The band of thieves quickly obeyed and ran off. Because of this event, Denzin lost his fear of using his lightsaber, seeing that the lightsaber were not only a weapon of destruction but also a weapon to maintain peace and order. When Denzin reunited with his master, she saw that her padawan had changed. She saw that he wore his lightsaber proudly.
Five years past, reaching the age of seventeen, Denzin companioning his master began to travel to the Expansion Region, for diplomatic missions. The first planet was Cathar, a world filled with many huge insect predators. Here the Djem So form proved inefficient. Master Ula Nov went on to teach him the Makashi. In the barren world, lived the race of feline humanoids known as Cathars. He faced many skilled Jedi in duels. Denzin often faced powerful near fatal strikes from the Cathar Jedi, Denzin quickly learned to fight more boldly and aggressive mimicking his Cathar adversaries savage animal-like fight styles.
Denzin at this time struggle to draw upon the force without calling its dark attributes. Disturbed by his aberration of his personality, Ula asked the aid of Cathar Jedi Knight, Lyrac Rass, to helped tutor Denzin in the Makashi. Lyrac began to prepare young Denzin to undertake a Cathar ritual called Blood Hunt. The ritual was created to gain honor and to purge oneself from his inner darkness, latter part serving Denzin’s needs. Denzin would engage in single combat against a hive of Kiltiks to put his skills to the test. After three month of hard training, Lyrac and Ula lead Denzin deep to a Kiltik’s hive.
The giant beetle-like omnivores towered over Denzin as he had to face them alone. Small groups of Kiltiks charged at him, Denzin mentally prepared himself, trying to keep himself calm as he was surrounded by the insect predators. Relying on precision and efficiency of his lightsaber skills, he outmaneuvered the giant slow kiltiks as he attacked them. Denzin took advantage of the kiltiks lack of unity, constantly bumping into one another trying to get Denzin. However after two dozen kiltiks perished by his blade, Denzin slowly became exhausted and went on a more defensive approach. In a brink of giving up, Denzin left an opening that a very large Kiltik went for a kill strike. Denzin feeling it was the end deactivated his lighsaber in defeat. Fortunately for Denzin his master and Lyrac intervened.
Despite failing the Catharese ritual, He achieved dominance over the darkness and rage that once haunted. Denzin next destination was an ocean planet Glee Anselm at the age of twenty-two. Arriving on the Nautolan’s capital city, Pieralos, Denzin was greeted by the kind people. Master Nov explained that on Glee Anselm, Denzin would learn survival skills. Early on Denzin was partnered with a female Nautolan padawan named Landra. At first, Denzin found it difficult to gain Landra’s trust. To her dislike, Landra showed Denzin around her homeworld, often traveling from one underwater city to another. Master Ula Nov was meanwhile busy handling a short medical supply crisis with Landra’s mentor, Mangtu Glar.
With Landra, Denzin was taught to use tactical superiority by making the terrain one's advantage. Denzin found it difficult fighting underwater, especially when up against Landra. She beat Denzin every single time however by every defeat he saw how Landra grew more confident and cocky. Using that to his advantage, Denzin once at a duel set a trap for Landra, he weakened his attack to leave an opening for her. She took it and quickly Denzin overwhelmed her with series of strikes and acrobatic swimming, disarming her. Shocked by Denzin’s cleverness, she began to respect him as a fighter, and together began to learn from one another.
A year later, Denzin was content with his life on Nautolan. He grew familiar with his surroundings both underwater and on the swampy land. On one particular day, Denzin and Landra were walking to a small village that sent a distress call. On their way to the village they were encountered a group of Anselmi, another a native specie of the swampy planet. Ambushed, they had no other choice but to fight back. Fired upon by the warring Anslemi, Landra was overwhelmed and was injured. Denzin decided to retreat and carried Landra on his back. The Anselmi persisted but Denzin knew his way around and managed to lose their trail.
Denzin healed Landra with small medical treatments. Despite losing the Anselmi, they weren’t out of trouble yet. They still needed to go the village which they feared no longer existed. They traveled by night until they reached the village consumed in flames. Denzin and Landra were too late. Landra outraged and bitter sought revenge. Denzin advised against it but knocked Denzin unconscious to find the Anselmi. When Denzin woke up, he went after her. When he found Landra, she was already killing them. Denzin stopped her by engaging in a duel with her. The cowardly Anselmi ran off as Denzin faced off Landra.
Landra was a superior duelist than Denzin but since she was consumed in rage, Denzin had the leverage. Using the surrounding for Denzin’s advantage, Landra charge at Denzin with everything she got but Denzin avoided each blow by letting the damped jungles take the hits. When Landra began to slow down, she ceased her attack and broke down crying. Denzin deactivated his lightsaber and kneeled down beside her and embraced Landra with compassion. Soon he learned that that small village that gave the distress call was Landra’s home village she was born in.
Finally after years of training, Denzin returned to Coruscant to be a Jedi knight. He passed the Jedi trails succeeded to knighthood. He began to take the majority of his missions on the mid-rim, mostly on Kashyyyk against Black Sun activity, on Manaan with its fragile foreign relationships and a small civil unrest in Rodia which prevented civil war with the aid of eight other Jedi Knights. With twelve years in the mid-rim, Denzin learned to make quick and clear distinctions between right and wrong. Denzin became more concerned with the poor low class, often taking side trips to aid the seemingly weak and useless life forms.
Denzin returned to the Jedi temple in Coruscant by the request of the Jedi Council and was charged care of the Jedi Library in the temple. He humbly accepted it, as he took advantage by focusing more on his personal studies to better attune his relationship with the force. He enjoyed his time as Librarian as he meditated far more frequently than he did when he was on his missions. It was during his service as a Librarian when the wraith of the Sith Lord Cain descended on the Jedi Temple. Many of his fellows Jedi died that day, including his master, Ula Nov. He watched her die in front of him as Cain’s sith army overran the temple.
Denzin left Coruscant, retreated from the capital to his home world, Dorin. Denzin knew that alone he would not stand against Emperor Cain and his underlings. He decided it was best fight against the Sith Empire on Dorin. He defended his people by allying himself with Baran Do Sages and organized several resistance forces to fight back. Denzin rekindled his relationship with his father. Even after the Fall of Emperor Cain and his empire, Denzin remained on Dorin not wanting to leave the bedside of his ill father.
