"I didn't see them...but somehow I know my parents are dead..." She told him softly. A tear went down the left side of her face, as she acknowledged that Johnson was no longer present either. "It's too bad... if they had let me train as a Jedi, they wouldn't have been in any danger. And even if they had, I likely could have saved them. Surely you're not going to leave me with the police. You saw what that guy can do...he deflected the blasts from my pistol. I'll be a sitting duck. Zilfer, my sixth sense is telling me I should go with you. I'll make it up to you, and fill the position I was supposed to." Luckily for Zilfer, the datapad had the information on each of the marks on Corellia. The bad news was, each of them was in a different city. Zilfer looked at the girl, she looked like she could be his daughter for crying out loud, and she wanted to go out and help with what he had found to be numerous hit marks all across town that was targeting force sensitives. The Bounty for each one was 10,000 Credits so someone was throwing around some serious cash to put out that many hits. Unfortunately, that was illegal and the person giving out the money was just as guilty as the one that pulled the trigger.... or knife in this case. "Look, there's a few things going on here. I'm not your father or mother so I'm not going to say 'Your too young to understand.' I get that all the time or a similar form of it back at the Jedi temple. That being said," said Zilfer preparing his next spiel. "You'll be safer with the Republic who have BIGGER guns, and body armor to back them up. They receive training to actually fight against people like this as part of their training. It won't be just the cops you'll be held by Republic Officals. Trained soldiers, who can protect you better than I can. You'll notice that trying to track multiple things on a battlefield is hard enough without trying to watch someone else's back. Anyone that comes after you will have to focus on the multiple people guarding you instead of just me and you. Your head got slammed pretty good back there, and I wasn't able to do a thing about it until I was on top of the guy drawing his attention away from you. You could have died." "Trust me, I'm in enough trouble as is without taking a young adult with me on a mission with assassin's that are out to get her and other people chosen or potential candidates for becoming a Jedi," said Zilfer as he pulled out his communicator to relay back to the Jedi Enclave here on Corellia. "I found the Target and there was an attempted assassination, I'm researching into the matter, it appears our anonymous tip proved true and goes deeper than we first imagined. I will keep the Council Posted on developments here." Turning back to the young girl he could already seen the sorrow had been locked in some deep part of her, as a sort of cooping mechanism. No doubt she really wanted to find out who had ordered her and her parents dead. Her boyfriend most likely to boot. He couldn't take her with however, he was already in hot water about assassiting on the battlefield on Kaleesh, and the business with having an active roll as a Commander within the Republic. They had seen how revan had started and he guessed they were fearing he'd take the path Revan had. Well it was definately one way to see it. 'Damnit, I'm a sucker when it comes to these things,' thought Zilfer as he changed his mind. "Alright if you want to come with me, there's a few rules we have. I do the talking, and if the danger starts to fly you are going to hide or go get help. If you can't handle that I'm not taking you with me, Understood?" said Zilfer firmly and once she accepted he revealed part of himself that most people didn't get to see. Ashen white wings slipped from his robed back and through the custom armor fixes to spread out to a ten foot wingspan and he pulled his hands wide. She would have to hug him tightly for the length of the journey but he didn't have time to take public service transportation like he usually did. Reaching out his hand he wondered what she was thinking....

(Sorry man)
"Of course..." She told him, when he layed down the ground rules. "Listen... I know I have potential, but I'm not stupid enough to think I'm a Jedi. If bolts start flying at me, I'm gonna dive behind a dumpster or something..." She explained.
When he showed her his wings, she was surprised by how unphased she was by them. Perhaps it was because she watched her love fall dead, and knew her parents were dead, or perhaps she's been raised well to not be judgmental. In any case, she nodded knowingly.
"Pretty wings." She told him, as she moved in close and reddened a bit in the face as she embraced him and held on tight.

Unlike in the holovids where you saw flying ewoks, or comedies where the main character was likened to a bird brain with wings, flying took a lot more effort than most realized. Flying for his kind as far as he could tell was a two fold battle. First their wings were strong, strong enough to be used as a weapon to crush people, but generally people reacted too much to their display so he kept them hidden and as a result they didn’t get quiet the workout he figured his normal species got. Second was the fact that flight pretty much required the use of the force. It helped keep them flying through the air for the humanoid body was by far the worst thing built for flight. However his species had evolved he had no idea but almost every single one must have been a force sensitive.
“Thanks,” he replied for the compliment and with just a brief glance around he prepared to take flight. “Hold on, this is going to feel a little awkward.”
With a sudden whoosh his wings propelled them just a few feet straight up into the air and his mind shifted over to flight mode, using the force to augment the flight. It was a little more difficult with another person but he had done it enough to judge the alterations to his flight. He tried to stay out of traffic lines while flying.
“So the Jedi examined you as a possible candidate in the past, but your parents didn’t want you taken away. I can understand that though it is a gift, it can also be a curse,” said Zilfer as he continued to fly. He had to determine whether or not the girl would become a danger to herself later on. It was one thing to seek justice, and entirely different thing to seek revenge. As they flew out of the current city and towards the next he admired the beauty of Corellia. For all that had happened to it, it somehow still managed to hang on. “It’s not too late to be trained in the force you know, it’s rare but sometimes the council will train older candidates. It wouldn’t be easy though, by far but it would be worth it.”
He let the thought sink in as they continued through the skyline. As he approached the next city he began to lower altitude until he finally came to a stop. He was taking calm and measured deep breaths. The flight had taken quite a bit of concentration and energy but time was of the essence. Maybe he was going to need help he thought as he rolled his shoulders.
The surroundings had dramatically changed, from up class to down trodden, he had seen plenty of places of neglect in his travels but it seemed this place was one of the kings. People moved about the street clearly homeless, and more than a few glanced their way, something glittered in their eyes. His brows furrowed and mouth became a grim line.
“Mackenzie stay close,” said Zilfer knowing full well what men of desperation might do in a place like this. He kept alert as they proceeded down the street. The house they were looking for was just down the street… or rather apartments. He could already see it from here, the run down place with only a half working neon sign. “Coffin Homes.”
Places like that were more common on Coruscant and larger cities, where living space was limited. They provided a small 3 feet by 3 feet room just enough to not feel horribly enclosed and a screen to surf the holoweb. Sleeping took a while to get used to having only 3 feet of space, and this place was going to be a virtual nightmare to search, though the only bonus to this was that whoever the assassin was here would also have a hard time pinpointing the force sensitive.
As they approached the coffin motel, he kept an eye out for suspicious characters but they were all throwing them looks or avoiding gazes. Places like this left a palpable taint in the force, and the presence was almost a constant distraction. The negative emotions here would be fuel for the Dark Side, and worse it would help mask anyone with negative intents so he wasn’t going to be able to find the killer with the force alone.
“Mackenzie I’m running low on ideas, we need to find this kid fast and there are far too many coffins to search, and our presence will be noted and make the assassin nervous. Especially since they probably know you were one of the targets, can you think of anything you might know? Did you know anyone like you from school? Or Perhaps you’ve felt a ‘connection’ with certain people before?” asked Zilfer as more looks filtered their way. He wished they weren’t so out of place here, but he took out a datapad and showed Mackenzie a picture of the target he had found on the previous assassin’s datapad. Maybe she might know something, the force always worked in mysterious ways….

"Not from this neighborhood..." She told him, with a frown when asked about school. Mackenzie was a girl of rich blood, well off. Even if she didn't become a Jedi, she would certainly still lead an attractive life with the inheritance she was sure to get from her parents.
"Wait a second... My mother was in to philanthropy and she often made donations to this orphanage in person." She told him, as she pointed in it's general direction and looked him in the eye. "One time when I came with her, they were speaking of a girl who was a bit of a trouble maker. She could steal and remain undetected no matter how many officers were sent after her... I met her once, and I gave her some money. She looked pretty surprised, and told me that she was sorry she had planned to steal from me as well. Ironic that now, I too am technically an Orphan..."
"I would know her if we got close... and she's very distinctive...always dressed in a leathery, almost armor... She's definitely force sensitive..."

Zilfer nodded silently thanking his conscious for taking her along. If she knew what the other target looked like it would be a whole lot easier to find her in this place. He was more worried about keeping an eye out for those who wanted to find them.
“Keep an eye out for her, I’m going to make sure we don’t meet any more undesirables,” said Zilfer as he took a sweeping gaze at the crowd. It was too crowded and most people looking at them was for different reasons than locating a target.
A gang of guys began to approach them and surround them with blasters, and vibroknives. No doubt a sort of ‘protection’ gang that claimed to protect these people from dangers of the city. No doubt to justify the money and other things they probably stole from people around here. Scum of the galaxy types, and he wasn’t going to have a problem putting them down but they’d cause a lot of attention this way.
“Hey! Why are you tredding on our turf? You think your some kind of Jedi that can come walkin in here without having to pay?” asked the head of the group who was a rodian, green skin like the color of slime. His hair… if you could call it ‘hair’ on a bug was fashioned into a Mohawk fashion, and his bug eyes had some sort of eye lens cupped over them which would flicker every once in a while, with the image of a human eye.
Zilfer started to go for his lightsaber, he was sure just the sight of it would deter a confrontation, if not he was going to need to be swift if he wanted a chance to protect the girl he was with.
