Loren watched the exchanged and was even surprised when the man said both her and Shinn were strong with the force. That was beginning to become apparent, as she traveled with these two. Loren wondered why Shinn was so resistant to becoming a Jedi. They had been great warriors of skill who had fought in the Mandalorian Wars, and more recent times the Clone wars. By all account they had greatly affected the winning sides of those battles. As they turned to go Loren gave on last look at the temple and the hologram.
“May the force be with you,” said Loren bowing her head slightly and then scampering off. The whole time she hadn’t known what to say so she had remained quiet. Did she want to be a jedi? She felt that was easy to answer, she wanted to get stronger and control her life. Already had it been ruined by outside forces, and it seemed it was happening again. She hadn’t missed the exchange about Shinn sensing ‘them’.
Jarlan soon stumbled from the brush looking fairly beat up, and weaponless. He looked between the three before standing up taller. As tall a medium height Rodian could at least.
Jarlan: There you are… The Remnant tracked us here somehow, they’ve sent out search parties. From the sounds of it they are looking for you three and not the others. They almost decided to fire at us on sight but I tried a trick or two.
“Then we need to get to the others, where are they?” asked Loren gripping her saber firmly. It hadn’t left her grip since that phantasm had showed itself.
Jarlan: Then you found what you were looking for?
He looked questioningly at Alura and then Shinn who he gave a much longer stare to. Blinking he looked back to Loren who nodded.
Jarlan: Than we leave.
Blaster cannons rang out from above and suddenly the nearly silent forest was alive with sound. Large green streaks pounded the ground near them, as the TIE fighter did a strafing run.
Rylar smiled when Kat told him to put a cap on it, before shrugging and beginning to follow them.
Rylar: I don’t think I’ve seen this many troopers hounding anyone since The Clone Wars when they were hunting down the jedi. Father served in them as a smaller side army when the battle came to our home planet.
A frown crossed his face at that moment and he stopped speaking. From there he flanked Kat all the way until they were about on the signals source. That’s when the firing started TIE fighter shooting into the forest ahead.
Rylar: That is either Jarlan or my other unlucky squadmate Loren, always in need of saving….
He sighed pulling the long rifle off his back that he had originally been using and placed himself against a rock adjusting a few of the settings. His breathing slowed as he focused and counted down three… two… one… his shot blasted out sailing straight towards the cockpit of the TIE fighter. It pierced through the pilot view plastiglass and suddenly the TIE steered off course. Crashing into the nearby foliage. He checked his reserves.
Rylar: That was my last shot.
“That would be Rylar, I think only he could make a shot like that,” said Loren coming out from the cover she had taken. Jarlan came out from an exposed rock formation, and rejoined everyone together It wasn’t long before Kat, and Rylar showed up.
“That almost landed on top of us!” said Loren crossing her arms, but she held a face of bemusement.
Rylar: Oh sorry, next time I’ll make sure it doesn’t miss.
“Hutt’s chance that will happen again,” countered Loren before letting her arms fall. “So whats our next move?”
Jarlan: We are going to get to our ship, and split up on the next planet. Rylar goes with Shinn’s crew and we’ll go to a spot were we can get new identities made up for us.
Rylar lifted an eyebrow to that and then shrugged. Loren didn’t look to pleased about it either but she nodded.
“I guess it couldn’t hurt to give them two trails to hunt instead of one,” said Loren looking to the others for their oppinions on the plan.
Jarlan: Well regardless we head to the ship now, we are going to have to loose them in orbit first. TIE’s don’t have Hyperdrives built in and have to be carried here. So there’s some sort of Carrier at least above orbit.
Rylar: We’ve our run the Remnant before.
Jarlan: Yes, but I’m making sure everyone is aware of the danger we are facing just getting out of here alive. Come on, everyone back to the ship unless there's something else around here you need.
Jarlan turned heading for the ship...
