Finding the Force

[Damocles]

Shinn sat on the ship not moving his eyes were closed Alura looked at him then back to Kat and Loren "Is he meditating?" She asked waving her hand in front of Shinn's face Shinn then snored "Okay not meditating" She said sitting back down.

Kat: Starting to rethink that whole he could be a great jedi thing?

"Not even, I can already tell he's gonna be great" she laughed leaning her head back, she looked over to Loren "So, why have you been hiding your powers?" She asked her nodding to Shinn "He doesn't hide his" She said.

Kat: He doesn't really have any abilities

Alura looked at Kat confused "You don't think, ever noticed how fast he is in battle, or anything else weird like that?" Alura asked.

Kat: Are you saying he's been using the force this whole time without realizing it, Kamille is that possible?

Kamille: Well yeah, he could have been doing it instinctively, combat could defintely help him wield it without notice, maybe he just thought he was really good at fighting.

Kat: Hmm...what about you though Alura the way you used that lightsaber, you had to have seen you far share of combat.

Alura laughed some "I don't think I have seen that much combat, more like I was able to pick up his combat skills with our mind meld" She said. Kat stared at her.

Kat: I was meaning to ask about that, how does that even work.

Alura went over to Kat and touched her face "Well if I do this, and focus our minds together I can..." she stopped for a moment "Its not working, thats weird, umm wonder if it only works on force users?" She said looking over to Loren "Or maybe the opposite sex" she laughed Kat laughed too.

Kat: Or maybe I am just immune to your force hocus pocus.

[Zilfer]

"So you have his memories, but your muscle memory is what is holding you back like with the bike," said Loren understanding now why she saw some of Shinn's moves while Loren had been sparring. Thankfully they hadn't broken anything on the ship, lest Jarlan throw a fit. Rylar seemed contemplative for a moment.

Rylar: So wait... you have all his memories. Like.... all of them. Even his deepest darkest secrets.... what he thinks about other people. Creepy....

"And.... intimate..." said Loren also now being disturbed by the connection. "Please don't touch my forehead."

Rylar: Yeah, you might find out about her Han Solo fan collection.

"I do NOT have a fan collection. I just happen to own the same brand of jacket..." said Loren shooting a glare in Rylar's direction.

Rylar: Yeah and I'm just supposed to ignore the "Chewy Wookie Plushy" I believe the tag said.

Rylar laughed at Loren stood up and activated a lightsaber chasing after him. He hoped a few steps into the swamp balancing on branches. Loren swung at him and he jumped backwards landing nimbly on another large trunk. Loren did not fair so well as she fell into the swamp. Rylar laughed again jumping back to shore as Loren surfaced. 

"You...!!!" 

Jarlan: Enough you two, your like children some of the time. 

The Rodian captain hadn't been out of the ship for the last day and a half. He then looked to Alura his bug eyes staring for a moment. 

Jarlan: I fixed the incubator, not sure there's any memories left in there but if you wanted to try you could. 

He looked to the others and and crossed his arms for a moment.

Jarlan: Our long range communicator hasn't received a reply from Adrian either. We can't stay here forever however, is there a reason you suggested this place Alura?

[Damocles]

Alura nodded when Loren asked the question "Yes you could say that, I was able to use his combat skills efficiently and I think just instinct took over during sparing." Alura's eyes widened when they asked about the memories "No, not all of them" she assured them "I don't know his deepest darkest secrets, I wouldn't invade a person's personal space that way" she told the group.

Kat: But you could if you wanted?

"I could, and it could be much more painful if I wanted it to be, like forcing someone's bones out of their body. Luckily for you guys I'm not a bad person" she smiled.

Kat: Yeah lucky us. Hey Loren you heard her, she can only do it to the opposite sex, I think you'll be fine.

Alura laughed some, especially when Loren begin to chase Rylar around. She turned to Jarlan when he explained about her incubator "Thank you so much" she nodded respectfully, she then looked around the area of the planet. The swamps and trees she could feel the force everywhere "I didn't suggest this planet, it was Kat's AI friend" she told Jarlan.

Kat: Right...Kamille, why are we here?

Kamille: Right about that

Suddenly Shinn's eyes opened and he looked around "Hmm, must've been dreaming" He said to himself, Alura went over to him "You okay?" She asked Shinn nodded "Weird dream" he told her, he had felt weird ever since they got to this planet.

Kamille: Thats what I was going to tell you, this planet is a Nexus for the Force, it may not seem so for you who are not force sensitive but for those three it should be giving them a heighten senses and connection to the living force.

Alura looked at the AI "The living force" she said "High...Priest" She mumbled.

Kat: What was that?

"I remember, the High Priest of the Church told me, he must return to the living force. Would there be a way to contact him here?" Alura asked Kamille.

Kamille: On this planet there should be, I would suggest you go off to find out.

Alura nodded "I will then..." she said "Not by yourself" Shinn told her as he stood up as well. "Kat see if you can get in contact with Adrian hopefully he'll get back to us soon, I'm gonna make sure she doesn't get herself killed" he said, Kat nodded.

Kat: Just be careful you two.

Kamille: Loren, you go too, it could benefit you to be around others that is force sensitive on this planet.

Kat: Even as an AI you are still a Jedi Master...

Kamille: Huh, well I guess I am...

[Zilfer]

Rylar scratched his head as KamilleBOT talked to the group about wandering into what looked like a dangerous forest planet full of probably sink holes, quick sand, and who knows what type of creatures in the mirk. He then came to a conclusion.

Rylar: Well have fun with that, I think I'll go play some Photon Saber Wars III while I wait.

Loren ignored Rylar as he headed back into the ship, and realized that she was feeling something different in this place. She hadn't been able to place a green finger on it until now. "I think you're right, now that I'm actually sensing. At least we don't need to hide our capabilities here," said Loren remembering that Alura had asked why she hid her abilities at one point. "No one from the Remnant would be on this backwater planet."

Jarlan: Famous last words, now go play in your forest while we do the hard work of trying to get ahold of Adrian.

Loren nodded following after Alura and Shinn as they made their way off into the woods. Jarlan then looked over to Kat, and made an odd clicking noise with his mouth. 

Jarlan: Well... Let's get to work, I have a feeling this planet is messing up the communication for some reason, but with luck we might get through to the holonet. AI see if you can do anything to boost our signal would ya? 

[Damocles]

Kat watched as the three made their way into three the forest it was weird as it seemed almost as if they disappeared while walking. She turned to Jarlan when he made that noise.

Kat: umm right getting communications working, kamille?

Kamille: I could totally boost the signal but umm not from a data pad, I would have to be connected to the ship to do that, so if you don't mind mr. Jarlan.

Alura walked ahead of Shinn and Loren as she made her way through the forest. "Alura slow down, we don't even know which way we're going here" Shinn said to her, she turned around to look at him as they spoke "I know, its just if this planet can help me then I want to find out what I can" Shinn nodded at her "Doesn't mean anything if you get lost or worse you" suddenly Shinn vanished Alura stopped walking and ran over to where he was "Shinn!" She called out before turning to Loren "what happened to him?" She questioned frantically.

Shinn looked around everything was dark "Where am i?" He questioned putting a piece of candy in his mouth.

Voice: A jedi, we haven't seen a jedi in years

It was a woman'should voice she sounded aged though, Shinn didn't say much but he could feel ill intent in the air his hand found its way to the hilt of his sword.

[Zilfer]

Jarlan: That should be fine as long as you don't dig into my private files. They have a few safe guards as well that would try and delete you for accessing them.

Jarlan said no more as he motioned for Kat to follow with Kamille. He opened up a side port on the wall next to the cockpit to allow Kamille to be plugged in. After a moment of trying to reach the extensive Holonet network, blips appeared on the pilot's sensor readings. The Rodian's eyes went wider than normal as he sat down in the seat and began to power down systems.

Jarlan: Kamille if your still in there shut EVERYTHING down except short range communication. We need to warn the others... Imperials found us somehow.

Jarlan' flicked a few switches turning off the power to most of the ship leaving them in relative darkness safe for the soft light filtering in from the front window of his ship. Rylar came to the cock pit in nothing but a towel dripping wet. 

Rylar: Want to fill me in on why the shower went cold and then stopped?

There was irritation in his voice but when the Rodian spun and hissed and clicked something, his look changed to grim. Rylar looked over to Katrina. 

Rylar: I'll be back from our armory, have any preference on guns? We have all the illegal kinds.

After hearing from her or not, Rylar would side off still dripping wet towards their small hidden armory of weapons. Jarlan pulled out a short range communicator and started to call for Loren and the others. He received nothing but static. The uniquely screeching sound of a TIE Ion Engine roared on by above them... They were here.

Loren looked at Alura for then to the spot where Shinn had been, and then back to Alura. "I... Don't know. He was there talking one moment and then... poof," said Loren trying to reach out and find him. She had only practiced this a few times, trying to reach out and find people in a very small area. Particularly the ship which she was familiar with and could guess were most people would be. Her communicator started to buzz and she took it out hearing nothing but static from what she thought was Jarlan attempting to say something. Just what was it?

"Weird it's like something is blocking communication too," said Loren as she looked back the way they had came but a fog had filtered in and nothing looked the same as before. "I'm not sure what's going on but it isn't natural...."

Loren grabbed Alura's hand pulling her towards the direction of the only thing she could sense in the area. She wasn't sure if it was Shinn but they didn't have much more of a choice at the moment. As they walked the Fog swirled almost as if it had a mind of it's own, only adding to the creeping feeling Loren was beginning to get from Dagobah. 

[Damocles]

Kamille laughed when they went into the ship.

Kamille: I'm not like Alura your personal information is your own buddy...

Kat smirked plugging him, she started to look over the data pad to see if there was anything she could do to help kamille speed this along.

Kat: Kamille try this frequent it's or emergency one, he may be waiting to hear something there...

Kamille: Uh oh

Kat: what is uh oh?

When Jarlan said the imperial had found them kamille popped back onto the data pad.

Kamille: That is uh oh.

Kat: Yeah, we need to contact Shinn and the others tell them to get back here.

She pulled out her rifle to prepare for a fight

"I can't sense him" Alura said about Shinn, she was getting upset coming out here was her idea Shinn just followed to make sure she'd be safe "oh man Kat is gonna kill me" Alura said just as Loren grabbed her hand and pulled her into the fog. Alura looked around there was something strong there really strong. She heard the crackling of laughter as a figure in a dark hood made their way over to her and Loren. "Who is that?" Alura asked the figured held out their hand holding a saber hilt they activated a red double bladed light saber preparing to attack the girls.

Voice: Are you worried about your friends?

Shinn looked around "I was ordered to watch out for them, you won't stop me from doing that" a figured appeared in front of him without thinking twice Shinn swung his sword cutting it in half, it vanished though.

Voice: striking without thinking about it, that isn't a jedi quality

"I'm no jedi" Shinn replied his sword still ready to attack.

Voice: No you arent, you are something darker...the question is then why do you carry that Templar weapon?

Shinn looked down at the thu'um. "It's a good sword"

Voice: yes a good sword indeed. One you will corrupt to no end with the blood of your victims. You are neither jedi nor sith, but a wild beast. We look forward to seeing how you progress

The fog vanished and Shinn found himself alone, Loren and Alura were gone as well.

[Zilfer]

Jarlan's suction cups cascaded over the console as he brought up the controls for one of his illegal modifications stored in the 'music' files that come default with the ship's pre-programmed operating system. Clicking the "Invisible Wall" the ship started to phase out. The cloak wasn't perfect but Jarlan had learned a long time when people were looking for obvious signs sometimes they over looked the small things.

Jarlan: Try to manage our cloak here, I'm going into the forest. No doubt they'll be dropping troopers to manually search soon. I don't think we'll avoid complete detection forever.

Rylar came back with a bag full of weapons, and he quickly tossed Jarlan a scattershot and two disruptor pistols. They were the kind that were illegal on most planets due to the fact that they left almost nothing of the person left behind.

Rylar: You want our last thermal?

Jarlan seemed to think for a moment and then nodded, catching the orb as it was tossed to him. He looked to Kat. 

Jarlan: Up for hunting some jungle troopers? I have just the idea for this....

Loren stopped at the sound of an activating blade. Red lightsaber, which instantly reminded her back on Vjun. She had been wreckless there and it had cost someone their life. She wouldn't do that this time. She reached to her side and pulled forth her lightsaber activating a light blue blade and holding it up straight and then transitioned it horizontally activating the second blade. She'd never fought a staff user with her lightsaber but she had practiced with her previous master for this eventuality. 

"Who are you? We are looking for our friend Shinn, and have no reason to fight you," said Loren looking very briefly to Alura nodding to let her know she was ready to fight if it came down to it. "Your also outnumbered two to one. Unfavorable odds I'd say."

[Damocles]

Kat looked at Jarlan then looked at Kamille.

Kat: You heard him manage the shield, apparently he thinks I'm so delicate flower that needs protection.

Kamille: You mean you're not.

Kat crossed her arms with a annoyed expression on her face

Kat: I'll have you know I am quite the demolition expert, in fact I'm fairly sure this is gonna be fun.

She hefted her gun over her shoulder and started to follow Rylar.

The figure didn't answer when Loren called out to it "I don't think it cares that its outnumbered" Alura said reaching into her cloak she pulled out her saber and activated the green blade. The figure held its hand up letting out a force push that sent Alura flying back she growled as she flipped over and slid using her hand to stop herself. "He's strong" She mumbled to herself.

The hooded figure ran towards Loren and swung its saber spinning around to swing with its second blade as well.

Man: You are afraid, I can sense it.

"He's trying to get in our heads Loren! Don't listen!" Alura said running towards the man, she prepared to jump into the battle to help Loren.

Shinn continued to walk around confused about where the girls went "Alura! Loren!" he yelled he stopped some hearing laughter behind him, he looked there was someone there. "Adrian?" Shinn said.

Adrian: They can't hear you Shinn, you killed them.

Shinn's eyes widened as he looked over seeing the dead bodies of Alura and Loren, Shinn ran over to them they were cut up from obviously a sword. "No" he said.

Voice: Shinn...

Shinn turned around seeing Kat bleeding on the ground he ran over to her "Kat!" He yelled sliding next to her, she coughed up blood into her hand and rubbed Shinn's face leaving a streak of blood there, "Kat, no..." he said she then vanished, Shinn looked around Alura and Loren were gone too, he shook his head "What is this place?" he questioned as he continued to look around.

[Zilfer]

Loren caught the first blade and then twirled her second saber to catch and preposition his blade up and over her through his second slash. She brought the blade down to the ground with her own and the lightsabers hissed at the contact with the ground.

"Afraid? No just annoyed," said Loren stepping forward and slamming a shoulder into the man to unlock their blades. She gave a flourish spinning her blade around as she backed up. "This time we take him together."

Loren prepared herself for the next strike, waiting for Alura to be ready. No doubt he was going to try and use the force again to keep one of them busy while he fought the other. Without warning she charged forward one end of her lightsaber leveled for a thrust.

Stormtroopers leveled their rifles on a man emerging from the forest in a cloak. A rodian's voice filtered outward in the unusual way that most rodian's spoke.  

Jarlan: Looking for this?

Jarlan dropped the tracking beacon he had found on the way out of the ship. He wished he had thought to check it before they had left Ilum or even Tattooine but it was too late now. His foot crushed the device under his heel. Predictably the stormtroopers proceeded to surround him as a black armored Deathtrooper stalked on up to him.

Deathtrooper: So you found the tracking device, I should have expected that it wouldn't go unnoticed for much longer. 

Jarlan crossed his arms setting his hands onto the holsters of the two weapons concealed on his sides. 

Jarlan: Guess you managed to track our ship at least, too bad the others got a different ride on Tattooine. I've brought you on a wild goose chase to loose your trail.

Deathtrooper: And you decided you could take whatever came after you on your own? You'll forgive me if I don't take you at your word. After we deal with you we'll search this planet just to be sure. Although I guess I shouldn't be surprised if you aren't lying. After all, the infamous Spymaster Jarlan has slain Jedi in the past right?

Jarlan: I don't know what your talking about, but it doesn't matter since this conversation is over.

On que, Rylar's shot as soon as Jarlan said the conversation was over. That was the usual phrase he used when he wanted his troop to throw out everything but combat as an option. From his perch one hundred feet away just below the treeline he manage to land a short perfectly between the visor eye slots of the stormtrooper. Then he clicked his remote for the thermal detonator Jarlan had placed before walking out into the clearing. Two stormtroopers raised their rifles at Jarlan as he pulled his blasters, but they never got as far as aiming before being disintegrated by the radius of the thermal detonator. 

Jarlan shot both his blasters one at a stromtrooper in the back and one at the Deathtrooper. The deathtrooper managed to dodge aside, but the other disruptor bolt his square on leaving nothing of the stormtroopers torso intact. It had eaten through the armor and outwards killing the man almost instantly. The return fire started and Jarlan whipped the cloak over his shoulder and up to obscure the vision of his enemies as he threw himself into the thick bushes to escape. The battle was one and they had taken out a good number of troopers but back up would be on the way. That Deathtrooper would have to be dealt with however, his reflexes had been honed to dodge that blaster at such close proximity.

[Damocles]

Kat waited patiently with her blaster in hand to see the outcome of Jarlan talking with theach trooper. When the shots were fired she came out from behind her cover her blaster trained on the head of the trooper she pulled the trigger and watched the man drop to the ground. Kat quickly moved to cover again she wasn't going to get caught out in open fire that was sure.

Kat: Kamille, any luck on contacting Shinn?

Kamille: No, but I did manage to pull an encrypted message before Jarlan told me to shut down. It's from your boss, he said to return to corusant immediately.

Kat fired her blaster again annoyed this time.

Kat: great now he calls back...

___

Alura held her sabers in the ready position when Loren said they would take this guy together. Something wasn't right here she couldn't sense this person it was almost like they weren't there. "That's it" Alura said as she ran to catch up with Loren the man knocked loren's thrust down and spun to stab her on his saber suddenly Alura pushed Loren out of the way and was stabbed instead. She looked down at the saber but it wasn't hurting she then looked at the man "She's right we're not afraid of you, and I know you're not real" the man laughed.

Man: you passed the test...jedi

He vanished and Alura let out a sigh of relief " I was hoping I was right" she said laughing she looked up hearing Shinn "over here!" Shinn walked over to both girls and stared at them before going over to look them he got really close to them invading their personal space. "We aren't hurt, jeeze me and Kat need to teach you social behavior" Alura said to him.

"Yeah whatever" Shinn said he looked around "anyone know the way back?" He asked.

[Zilfer]

Rylar fired another shot nailing a stormtrooper who had dared to peer over a ridge. He had managed to pin down a good number of them, and allowed Jarlan to escape through the swamp. His goal would be to hold them off long enough so they could double back the way they had came and setup the next ambush.

Deathtrooper: Cursing planet, our land vehicles are useless here but you probably planned for that didn't you Jarlan...

Trooper: Sir?

Deathtrooper: Nothing move back and flank that sniper. Three around the side, I'll deal with Jarlan, and keep aware for others. We know there is at least one more of his crew a girl. Possibly trained by the jedi. If you see her the orders are to take her alive.

Trooper: Yes sir, you heard him move!

The Deathtrooper rolled out from under and ran into the thick brush, a sniper shot whizzed past his ear followed by a shot just in front of him. The sniper was good but a moving target was a hard target. After getting out of line of sight he began to follow Jarlan's tracks to a clearing. He walked out into the clearing alert knowing that Jarlan must be close by.

Deathtrooper: You know we could use a man like you back, the Empire isn't what it used to be. We may be a Remnant but it has only culled the weak from our ranks. A man with your history could go far....

Jarlan remained motionless as the Deathtrooper stalked closer to a tree he was hiding behind. A few more steps and he might be able to take this guy out. He knew Deathtroopers wen't through rigorous training, and some even had to kill those close to them. Why did he remember that?

Deathtrooper: You of course remember your last mission right? Lure a Jedi to a designated kill spot by taking their family. What was his name? Yai'long.... funny that you seemed to be working with him after what you did. I had pondered why that was but I think I know. You wiped his memories.

Jarlan slipped out double vibrodaggers coming in low. The Deathtrooper spun grabbing one arm and catching the other. He shifted lifting Jarlan with his own momentum and flipping him over. Jarlan landed already righting himself and blocked an armored kick to his side. His arms groaned as it felt like they had tried to stop a charging bantha. One of the knives was lost as he stood, arm too numb to clutch the hilt. 

Deathtrooper: You've grown rusty!

Jarlan spit bile from his mouth and his antenna began to twitch slightly. His stance was low with the blade held off to the side.

Jarlan: We'll see about that. Looks like your missing a blaster. 

He nodded out to the swamp to an object sinking into the bog. The Deathtrooper glanced to it and then back to Jarlan.

Deathtrooper: Would you look at that. Maybe your not all gone.

Loren was knocked aside to the ground and she spun looking at Alura who was stabbed through with a lightsaber and was.... unharmed? The initial shock passed as the figure dissipated and she said she had hoped that would work. "What do you mean you hoped it would work!?" she said exasperated anyone would try such a thing. She quickly double checked where Alura had been hit before Shinn showed up.

"Well that's convenient, disappearing before and then showing up after the battle is over," said Loren crossing her arms. She watched as Shinn examined Alura and lifted an eye brow. Then when he came over to her with seemingly the same intent in mind she put forth one finger and pressed it against his forehead. "A little thing I like to call personal space. Maybe you've heard of it. Thanks though, we really are fine."

When it was asked if they knew the way back Loren shook her head. "Somethings obscuring the way, i'm not quite sure but I think this place is strong with the force. It plays tricks in people's heads, if we focus together though we might be able to get through," said Loren nodding to Alura. "Shall we?"

Just as she asked the sound of a TIE ion engine screeched overhead....

[Damocles]

Kat sighed as she walked back into the ship, she would let the others handle the troopers she needed to get the message from Adrian. She sat down at the console kamille popped up.

Kamille: shouldn't you be out there helping?

Kat: they seem to have things under control just play the message.

Kamille: okay...

A hologram of Adrian came up.

Adrian: Shinn, Kat if you are receiving this you have to stay away from the base. It was attacked....people dead, we retreated. We...

The transmission ended right there.

Kamille: That's where it ends

Kat: shit. I thought you said he wanted us to come back.

Kamille: look, it was a broken message it's all over the place.

Kat: you know for an AI you aren't that smart. Get the messaged cleaned up I have to get back out there.

Kat started to leave out kamille complained about her being ungrateful. Kat made her way back outside and took position she saw the troopers attempting to flank rylar. She growled and tossed a stun grenade.

Kat: Rylar fall back!

The grenade went off near the troopers and Kat popped back out of cover firing at them.

Shinn backed up when Loren put her hand up "Sorry, orders are to make sure you" He started to say Alura put her hand on his shoulders "People normally don't want you that close shinn. Even if shes been giving you the eyes since we got here" she laughed, Shinn looked confused "the eyes?" He asked her Alura laughed.

"I thought that would work because I couldn't sense anything living from that man Loren" Alura told her as she started to look around. Shinn stood there thinking "I had a weird vision, but that isn't important right now" Alura looked around too. "This place is string alright but it's with the dark side of the forcentury, which is why we were attacked" Alura explained.

"Who cares, my mission is to make sure you find that high priest Alura, let's keep moving" Shinn said to them.

[Zilfer]

"Must be some force technique I'm subconsciously using," said Loren feinting ignorance of Alura's comment. Then she got back on subject and nodded to Shinn's statement. "Well I hope this 'high priest' has some answers, because i'm starting to get a bad feeling about this...."

They mad their way through the forests avoiding quick sand drops, and swamp creatures moving around in the depths of who knew how deep bogs. They crossed an old camp with some sort of hovel and very old camping equipment. Loren shook her head to the others after briefly inspecting the sight. "No one has been here in years.... Let's move on."

As they moved on Loren was getting a nagging feeling that she was needed back with her crew members, and that TIE engine sound they had heard earlier was beginning to worry her. If the empire knew they were here or had a base on this planet what if the High Priest had already been compromised? What if they were walking straight into a trap? She had been told Darth Vader had employed such tactics to lure would be jedi into fatal traps. As she was about to voice her concern a building made of clay slabs began to rise out of the fog in the distance. It definitely looked like a temple. 

"I think we've found what your looking for," said Loren. She looked back nervously her emerald eyes scanning the nearby surroundings for.... what? Troopers? A trap wouldn't be that obvious. "What now Alura? Do we go inside?"

The Deathtrooper lifted two arms up crossing in them in a block as Jarlan's blade came down trying to force it down with momentum and his weight. Unforunately though he had managed to get it just barely to scratch his opponent he shifted to the side, and an armored punch sent him reeling. As the Deathtrooper came in for a follow up Jarlan slipped in low smashing his head into the helmet of the trooper sending his already dizzy head almost into blackness. He stumbled a step or two but he had managed to knock the trooper back.

Deathtrooper: So you haven't forgotten all the training you were given. Victory at all costs, no matter the means.

Jarlan: Shut up, I'm not one of you. The Empire never employed Aliens.

The Deathtrooper dropped stance suddenly laughing at the statement. It was common knowledge that the old Empire had considered alien's beneath humans.

Deathtrooper: How better to fool the enemy than to employ those who couldn't possibly be in league with the Empire. Emperor Palpatine knew that even a white pawn can hinder one's opponent if strategically placed. Are you saying you seriously don't remember?

Jarlan: You talk a big game but I'm not falling for your stalling tactic. 

The Deathtrooper reached up, and Jarlan charged forward before noticing the Deathtrooper was raising their helmet off, and what he saw surprised him enough to falter a half second. A female Umbaran smashed him in the face with her helmet flattening him in a solid blow. She looked down at him with those colorless eyes, lost somewhere between pity or hatred.

Umbaran: And here I though you might remember your old partner.

Jarlan started to climb to his feet but the Umbaran kicked him back down.

Umbaran: No stay down, and listen. We could use you back, and restore your memories. There is a turning point coming forward, the Empire is not dead.... not as much as the New Republic chooses to believe. We still survive, the wound they struck against us was grievous but not fatal. Help us make the Remnant more than just an alliance of pretenders.

She offered out a hand for him to take. He looked down for a moment considering the offer for what it was, and then reached out grasping her hand.

Umbaran: That's more lik---

Sand slammed straight into her face, and Jarlan pulled her down kicking at her legs. An orb slammed against her chest as she swung to hit Jarlan and found nothing but air. Swiping her eyes she saw a grenade, cursing she rolled into the swamp throwing the grenade away moments before it exploded....

Rylar sniped another trooper down, and suddenly a shout to his side came right as before the troopers leveled blasters at him. Cursing he dived out of his perch to the ground, and the cover of a grenade and fire allowed him to circle back retreating. That was it, the search was on, he had taken out as many as he could now he needed to regroup with anyone but he had no idea where Jarlan had gone so his only option was the new girl. Things could be worse he thought, he could be with clueless Shinn who probably didn't know the meaning of a girl's Juma Juice. 

He hide behind a rock as squad of troopers past and then proceeded forward sneaking towards Kat, when he arrived two troopers were coming after her, and he stepped in, a palm strike landing right against the side of the helmet of the first, and then the gun of the first smacking straight into the second one's head from behind. Jarlen then brought it around and with an over head swing cracked it down on the first one's head to make sure he was out. Couldn't afford to be loud other wise they'd find them again. 

Rylar: Thanks for saving my tail back there, I guess I owe you. I'll try and think of something later, but for now, they don't know where we are and we don't know were any one else is.... plans? Otherwise I was just going to kill every trooper on this planet like a phantom menace.

Shinn looked at Loren when she said she must've been using some ability subconsciously he was still confused by this whole thing "What?" He said to her, he shrugged and reached in his pocket pulling out candy and eating a piece. Alura looked at him with pleading eyes, Shinn reached back into his pocket and pulled out another piece handing it to her, she started to chew on the candy as they walked "Like I told Kat earlier, a piece of candy" she said laughing. "Cake" Shinn replied to her before she turned back to him "But candy is better wouldn't you agree?" she asked, Shinn shrugged again and kept walking with them. "Yeah I hope I find what I am looking for too" Alura replied to Loren as they continued on.

Once they got to the temple Alura looked at it, should could feel something from it, it wasn't like the other place with the fog this felt better. She looked at Loren "I...I'm not sure if it is" She said before she could decide if they should head in Shinn started walking towards the place "Shinn!" Alura called out he turned to her "The faster we do this the faster we get back, its starting to bother me that we haven't heard from anyone yet" he explained. Alura nodded and started to follow Shinn, once at the doors he reached out push them open but they opened on their own.

Shinn looked back at Alura and Loren and motioned for them to follow "Be ready for anything" he said to them, he walked looking around the place seemed misty but it was still easy to see.

Man: You've come?

Shinn pulled out his sword ready to attack the figure in front of them an old man in a cloak but Alura put her hand out to stop him. "Thats the high priest" she said stepping forward "High Priest" she said bowing, he smiled at her.

High Priest: You've not changed a bit Alura...and I see you've made friends as well. Both also strong in the force.

Alura smiled "Yes but that isn't why I'm here, I lost most of my memories, can you help me regain them" She asked the high priest put his hand out.

High Priest: I am but a ghost Alura, only able to commune here for short periods of time before I am called back into the living force. I can't help you fully restore your memories only point you in the right direction.

"Why did you lock her away to begin with?" Shinn asked the High Priest looked at him.

High Priest: The Remenant was after her, lead by a man calling himself Damocles, I was worried that if they got her, they would use her for their dark purposes. I did what I thought was right, as you must now Shinn Mikazuki. Do you really think you could turn her into the Church of the Force, Alura will be much better suited for stopping the dark side.

Alura looked at Shinn who crossed his arms "That's her choice, I'm no slaver I don't traffic people" he said turning to walk out "Its also her choice if she is going to stay here with you, but Loren and I have to get back our friends are in trouble" he said to the high priest.

High Priest: You can sense them then can't you. You boy, would have been a fine Jedi.

"I'm no Jedi, just a mercenary" Shinn said, Alura turned to the High Priest who nodded to her.

High Priest: Your holocrom, meditate on that and it will help you.

Alura nodded and ran out to follow Shinn.

Kat jumped some when Rylar attacked the storm troopers, she turned to him.

Kat: Don't mention it, your boss okay?

Shad hadn't figured out what was going on with Jarlan at this point and communications were still very much screwed up. She sighed heavily pulling her data pad out of her bag and turning it on. Kamille looked at her.

Kat: Any luck?

Kamille: Still nothing yet, I swear this planet is a cease pool

Kat: Yet you were the one that dragged us here

Kamille: Hey, you asked I gave an answer and, hmmm picking up a few heat signals not too far from you guys. Could be them, its three.

Kat smirked turning to Rylar.

Kat: Put a cap on that lame reference for later Rylar, I think I found our friends. Follow me.

She pulled out her gun and started to follow the heat signatures.
