OOC: This is basic training thread, however I want it to move at your pass Josh. As such I well normally make slightly smaller post which you can fill in what happens between them and how much. Like in this post you can just explain your character falling into line or you can have them going and doing all three tasks.
IC: Sargent Pirce looked at his squad of then recruited and smiled. "I am Sargent Pirce and it is my job to turn you into badasses that can face any threat that may be thrown at the Federation. To do this I well rip you down until you are just shells of the people you once were then build you back up into harden warriors of freedom and peace." He said in a commanding voice. "Now before I can turn you into the ultimate badasses, you need your immunization shots, weapons and uniforms. We well march in a rows of two to the armor. FORM RANKS!" He shouted as he waited for the recruits to bounce around tell they could form ranks and head to get the first three tasks done.

OCC: Odan, I hope you don't mind but I'm going to do it in the order Sarge said.
Josh quickly formed the first line. He liked to be first and thought of himself as a natural leader. The march from where the recruits were at to the med bay to get their immunization shots wasn't a long one. The recruits went one by one with Josh being the first to go.
He approached the doctor who was smiling at him. Josh didn't know why. He had nothing to be happy about. He probably didn't like his job. Or for that matter, like being here.
"This will only be a prick," the doctor said as he poked Josh with the needle. "There we go. Now continue on down this hall to receive your uniform," the doctor said as he disposed of the needle.
Josh did as the doc said then continued down the hall and came to a desk with clothing behind it. The female human behind the counter looked up. Her blue eyes met his brown eyes. Josh couldn't help but smile. She blushed a little in return.
"Name?" she asked.
"Mador. Joshua," he replied.
The woman then walked off and started looking at the clothing behind her. A few seconds later she finally found his uniform. She put in on the desk and smiled, "There you go."
"Thank you," Josh said as he took his uniform and the personal baggy and entered the men's changing room. Once he had changed into his uniform and placed his personal belongings in the personal baggy he put it in the designated bins. He then exited the changing room and waited for everyone else to form up.
Five minutes later they were back in their two rows and marching to the armor. When Josh saw all the weapons he couldn't help but grin. He thought of weapons as his specialty. And he wanted the best the Army had to offer. However, he knew he was only being issued standard weapons and gear which was alright for now.
Once the squad was cocked, locked, and ready to rock, they marched in their two rows back to the awaiting Sarge. Josh was starting to feel at home. And he couldn't help but think of his father at this moment in time.

OOC: THis is your standard issue blaster rifle. STB-1 Blaster CarbineThe Sargent stood in front of the to columns, "Right Face." He shouted as he walked to the direction they should turn. Once they turned up pulled a rifle. "This is the STB-1 Blaster Carbine. This weapon can cut through standard armor like butter, can hit targets at six hundred meters and is reliable. This is your new best friend. You will be able to field strip it in under a minute, be able to name ever part, and this weapon well always be within three steps." He said sling the rifle back over his shoulder. He then pulled a DL-44. "This are your back-up weapon. DL-44 is a heavy blaster with serious kick. Good for when the STB-1 is just to long. And if all else fails, this won't." He said as he withdrew his vibroblade. "With a cortosis weave this weapon can hold up against even a Sith lightsaber. You well be trained in melee combat, but i wont lie, the only way you well deal with a Sith is with superior numbers and superior fire." He said as put each of the weapons away. "Now it is time to get you kids feed and to bed. Tomorrow is the end of your old life and the beginning of your new. Mess is over. While you are set up in Barracks Building Two. You are dismissed until lights out." He said watching to see what they did. He planned to keep an eye on them, he meant it when he told them their rifle should always be within three steps.

Josh made sure his rifle was on safety then placed his new weapon over his shoulder carefully. He then set out of the Mess Hall. Josh was starving. The trip to Mon Calamari was longer than expected. Once Josh made his way to the Mess Hall he grabbed a plate then fell in line. He patiently waited for his food then hurried up and took a seat.
A couple seconds later Josh was joined by two other Privates. They were rambling on about how there were going to kill many Sith and save the galaxy. Everyone talks about being a hero. But its the ones who actually act upon what they say who become them.
"Have you ever killed anyone?" Josh said aloud so both Privates could hear him, not looking up from his food.
"No," they both replied.
"Well then. How do you know you'll be able to pull the trigger when the time comes?" Josh said as he looked up from his food.
"Well uh -" the first guy started.
"BAM!" Josh said as he pointed his finger to the guys head. "First mistake Private. You can't think when you're on the battlefield. That right there could of got you, me, and him killed. You have to act responsibly. If you see an enemy, don't lockup, don't freeze. Raise your rifle and fire. Because he's not thinking. The Sith never think. You give him that second, you're dead," Josh said finishing up the last of his plate.
"What's your name?"
"Mador. Joshua. Remember it," Josh said as he walked away.
When Josh disposed of his tray he found his way over to Barracks Building 2 like the Sarge said. Once he arrived he felt home sweet home. He wasn't the first to arrive but he could careless if he had top or bottom bunk. Josh picked the closet bunk to him and sat down. He then noticed the storage locker in front of him.
He put his rifle and blaster in the locker than returned to his cot. He relaxed. Taking it all in. He was officially a Private in the U.S.F.

At 0430 hours the next day Sargent Pirce walked into the barracks and pointed his blaster rifle at at the trash can and fired off several shots. "OUT OF BEDS SLEEPING BEAUTIES! RISE AND SHINE IT IS ANOTHER BEAUTIFUL DAY IN THE ARMY!" He shouted over the blaster fire. The shots were designed to get people accustom to blaster fire. "EVERYONE HAS THREE STEPS TO GET TO YOUR RIFLES! EVERY EXTRA STEP BY ANYONE ADDS AN EXTRA LAP! THEN FORM ROWS IN FRONT OF THE BUNKS!" He said. He watched the ten people as they got their rifles and kept track of how many extra laps they would be adding.

When Josh heard the blaster go off he was quickly out of bed and took three steps to his locker to gear up for the day. He quickly changed into his uniform, holstered his blaster, and slung his rifle around his shoulder. He then assumed his position in front of his bunk like instructed. Josh stood straight and firm. He stared out in front into the empty space. The space the Sarge would definitely fill in a couple of seconds.
Josh couldn't help but wonder what they were going to do today. Were they going to fire their rifles? Practice unarmed combat? Do simulation drills? Josh grinned a bit but then quickly erased it. He didn't like to get ahead of himself. And he wasn't going to start that habit again either.

The Sargent counted the counts of the student. The majority of them had to take several extra steps to get to their weapons. Once they formed ranks he stepped in the middle. "We start every day with PT, normally this a 2 mile run, however today is a special day. We are starting out with a five mile run because of all those extra steps to get your rifles." He said with an evil smile taking great joy in punishing them all for the mistake. He wanted them to build team thinking. Each man and women must look out for the other. "After our PT we move to chow, then rifle range followed by a seven mile pack march with a MRE meal at mile five, then you get the rest of the night to fill out rest of your paperwork." He said throwing the rifle over his shoulder. "We start running in five minutes," The Sargent said as her pulled out a cigar and put it in his mouth. It was clear by the Drill Sargent was a combat veteran, having several scares and just that sort of demeanor. He was one of the best of whipping new recruits into combat professionals.

Josh didn't like they had to run a three extra miles because of other people's mistakes. He was going to make sure nobody made that mistake again. He was going to take control of this squad when the Sarge wasn't looking. He had the balls to do so. When they started their run Josh was in the front. Leading the pack. However around three miles or so some started to feel their endurance lacking. Josh was right there for motivation.
He didn't want anybody to quit. He wanted everybody to finish and finish strong. He gave words of encouragement whenever he could. Making someone feel bad because they lacked the ability to run five miles wasn't going to make things easier for him or the squad. He decided to fall to the rear and keep an eye on the squad.
When the squad finished their five miles they all made their way to the Mess Hall to have some chow. Josh was hungry and wanted to fill up before their seven mile pack march. He needed to replace the energy he just burnt. When chow was over the squad made their way to the rifle range. There it was where he fell in love with his rifle. It was so smooth and deadly accurate in his hands.
While at the rifle range each recruit learned how to break down their rifle and then rebuild it. This was something new to Josh. Him and his dad never broke a gun down but Josh liked the challenge. At first he struggled a bit. Everyone did. But with multiple sessions he and everyone else became faster and faster at the process. Once everyone was comfortable with breaking down their weapon they spent some more time at the range.
Then it was time for the seven mile pack march. The squad gathered their gear and was ready. This time Josh was going to start in the rear. He wanted to be the anchor and wanted to make sure everyone was doing it right and not giving up. Surprisingly the march went fine. Everyone was able to keep their head and attitude up until the fifth mile when they had their MRE meals. They then slipped back on the packs and finished out the last two miles.
When their seven mile pack march was completed they had to finish their paperwork. That's something you don't want to do when you just spend the day keeping yourself going by using your mental capacity. Josh was tired and didn't feel like finishing the paper. However he did and was ready to get some sleep.
When he returned to his barracks he made sure everyone's rifle was within three steps of them. He wasn't going to wake up next morning and run another five miles for something that can be easily controlled. That night Josh laid in bed thinking about his dad. He had wished he was still here. And he'd do anything to have him back. As Josh stared into the blackness of the room he finally drifted off to sleep.
OOC: Odan, I hope you didn't mind me doing everything. I didn't know if I was supposed to reply up until we did the five mile run then let your reply for the rifle range part or what. I just went ahead and did everything so that way we could move on faster.

OOC: It is fine, it was you that arrived for basic training after all. If you would rather do basic training on your own, feel free. I was just doing it because you seem to need someone to tell you what to do.
The Sargent ran along side the recruits during their extra long PT run, then got food and headed to the rifle range with them. He walked up and gave each students pointers on shooting, aiming he weapon and acquiring targets. After an hour each student was hitting targets at least on hundred meters out and he went on to field stripping the rifle. He drove home the idea that it was a repetitive process and that every day for the next week they would spend an hour taking apart and putting the rifle back together. They then did the march and headed back to barracks. Light out happen at 2200 hours.
The next day the Sargent walked into the barracks and once again open fire with his rifle, trying to scare the recruits. "Rise and shine ladies. Grab your rifles, grab your uniforms. We got a fun filled day of run your asses off. We start with our standard 3 mile run around the track, followed by chow, then a hit the rifle range for two hours because you are all riflemen first and foremost in the infantry. Then you get to take your first shot at the obstacle course were you will be broken into two teams and pitted against each other. Losses eats MREs, winners get launch at the chow hall. We then well head to do the first day of your hand to hand combat. Then it is dinner time and followed by return to the barracks, disable and reassemble our weapons until lights out. DO I hear any complaints?" The Sargent said. He already knew that the rooks would shout no sir, but always made sure they knew what there day had in store for them. He already picked the team leaders for the obstacle course. He would have Micheal Kenny for team one and Josh for the second. They would pick their own teams which could make or break the course but really this was a challenge for the two possible leaders of the squad. He wanted to see what made them tick.
