The Tempest exited hyperspace over the Galactic Capital and took a position over the planet where the Jedi Temple was located. Much of the dark haze that had cocooned Coruscant for a good part of a year had lifted now, allowing the lights of the Galactic city to be seen once more from space, criss-crossing the planet.
The fleet around Coruscant was massive. Cain clearly was taking no chances with his capital. By this time word of what had occurred on Corulag and Korriban had reached the Imperials in command of Coruscant's defenses. In the past 48 hours a great deal of uncertainty and confusion had spread through the ranks as to what would become of them. Rumors from Korriban were that the new Emperor was purging all of Cain's loyalists. No one could be sure whether that meant they might meet the same retribution, but having Ryuu arrive over Coruscant created a good bit of anxiety. Raiku quickly assuaged the Imperial's concerns, assuring them it was only the Sith that were to suffer the new Emeror's wrath.
As such, their first order now under the new Emperor was to position Coruscant's fleet over the site of the Jedi Temple, bringing their heavy guns to bear. The troops on the ground were ordered to evacuate the area and to evacuate all civilians within a five mile radius as best they could.
While waiting for the fleet to move into position and evacuation to be completed, Ryuu sat on the bridge of the Tempest with Raiku standing at his side, the two of them gazing out the forward viewport down on Coruscant.
"Don't you feel the least bit sentimental?" Raiku asked in a tone that implied she was not totally serious, perhaps even poking fun at Ryuu, "you did spend most of your life living in that decrepit old cathedral."
"The painful memories outweigh the good," Ryuu answered sincerely despite Raiku's tone, "besides, laying waste to Cain's old haunt is more of a symbolic gesture then a strategic one."
Raiku frowned, her gaze moving to the deactivated remote droid laying among a heap of spare parts that were to be sent to the scrap pile. Something had changed in Ryuu after Corulag. Sure there was the obvious physical change, but a few burns would not have been enough to discourage Ryuu. It was something deeper. Before Ryuu had a spark, a fire about him... and now? now he just seemed... sad. Though her tone had not been completely sincere, Raiku really was concerned with Ryuu's recent change in temperament. What he used to consider sacred, now he regarded with a callous efficiency.
"And Tak?" Raiku asked, keeping an eye on Ryuu expecting that the mention of that name would at least get a reaction.
"Tak is dead," Ryuu answered simply, staring blankly through the transparasteel and into the lights of the city below.
Raiku huffed in response, a look of concern manifesting visibly now on her face, "But she's not!" Raiku implored, "Our source on Corvala was sound and there is strong evidence that Cain was holding her in that Temple."
Ryuu closed his eyes softly, taking a few calm breaths, "I don't feel anything that I recognize here anymore. All I feel is pain. Everywhere Cain went he trailed pain in his wake. Whatever's down there... we're doing it a favor."
Raiku's frown grew sharper, before she could form a response Amelia moved up behind the two of them interrupted with a timid clearing of her throat.
"Ahem, Ma'am? The Fleet is in position. The forces on the ground are clear and the planetary shield has been deactivated. We can commence fire on your word."
Raiku's eyes shot over to Ryuu, her look imploring him to call this off, but instead he gave her a nod to confirm. With a defeated sigh Raiku nodded back to Amelia, "Fire..."
The ships in space then began to rain down turbo laser fire, concentrating on the Jedi Temple. While there was a good deal of collateral damage to the surrounding area, most of the chaos was confined to the Temple itself. By the time the barrage had finished the spires of the Temple had been leveled and most of the Temple's upper level was left in flaming ruins. Anything that lingered below the surface would have to be dealt with personally...
As the attack finished Ryuu rose to his feet and headed for the Tempest's hanger. Raiku quickly darted to his side, "I'm going with you!"
Ryuu turned slightly toward her on his right, only his masked side was visible giving no indication of his facial express as he spoke, "I think it would be best if you remained here with the ship. I sense a great deal of uncertainty within you concerning this."
Raiku shook her head, "You're not keeping be back this time."
Ryuu turned and headed for the turbo lift that led to hanger. He didn't say another word and Raiku followed him down into the hanger and to the shuttle that would take them to Coruscant's surface.

Jedi Temple, lower levels, pre-bombing.
A still atmosphere still loomed in the temple even with the halls glistening in the light from the sun which shone through the large oval windows around the outer halls. The air in the temple was calm and undisturbed, for the most part, sounding from the brightly lit hallway overlooking the city was a lone staggering noise, its source. A short, however powerful, looking man clad in an all black attire dragging behind him a chain, tied to it a huge crate.
Moving in and out of the shadows he gradually made his way to the lift at the end of the corridor with the case. Hitting the lowest button on the panel, has par his instructions, Ermm waited until the elevator came to a complete stop at the bottom. Having come from one of the exterior landing pads with the package Ermm tried wit all his being to remember exactly how to get to and from bey five-seventy-two, and he was pleased to realize he succeeded.
His friend was now only yards away from Ermm noticed after navigating the short distance from the lift to the location in the lower levels of the temple that the doctor had distinguished has his lab. A audible sign of relief escaped Ermm's chest as he dropped the chains on the steel floor moving toward the doctor. Consumed in some experiment by the look of things he appeared to be injecting a needle into what looked to be the abdomen of a small winged creature of some insectoid nature.
"Ermm..." The low rumble was about all he'd said since the Doctor choose to salvage the otherwise failed test subject, and yet it was still not enough to get his attention. He repeated the grunt once more before the doctor's awareness had shifted toward him.
"Oh Ermm, my man. You've brought the package down here i assume?" Nikana questioned pushing his glasses up his nose has he turned to face Ermm. Shifting in place Ermm Grunted again directing a hand at the spot where the box was.
"Perfect!" Digging into his pocket Nikana pulled a small candy from it and tossed it to Ermm. "Enjoy." Reaching out for the little delicious in an attempt to catch it Ermm stumbled missing the candy as it plummeted to the ground, rolling away. Ermm fell on his hands to search for it noticing has Nikana walked toward the crate and out of his line of sight.
Pushing passed wheeled buggies and shoving small boxes away Ermm slowly caught up to the small treat, laying in wait at the corner of the room against the wall. Just has he stretched his arm out to grab it the room began to shake with loud blast and the smell of smoke filling the air at the same time. Various sizes of debris began raining down on his head, anything from a pebble to a slab of durasteel flooring. Popping up from the ground Ermm looked toward Nikana for direction, whom was now several meters away after Ermm had chased the candy.
While his lips moved Ermm could not make anything said out through the thundering sound of each blast. After the doctor realized this fact he shook his head with a look of disappointment before returning to the desk he was working at when Ermm entered the room, only to be stuck by a large piece of the upstairs floor vanishing from sight. A stomach twisting fear rushed Ermm has he realized that without the Doctor he knew no one, and had no friends to turn to. Before he could attempt and save the doctor however a boulder stuck him across the forehead rendering him unconscious.
Post bombing.
Things gradually came back to him, his senses rebooting one at a time. First it was sound, the sound of someone calling out, possibly for help. next his vision slowly returned to him has he caught sight of someone in a dusty white coat turning over slabs of rubble searching for survivors he'd assumed. Soon the irony taste of blood filled his mouth has the realization that he was stuck under who knew how many tons of rock came, along with the fact that whoever was searching for survivors seemed to have missed him. And at last the feeling returned, bringing with it a gut turning pain. His entire body felt sore, and more to the point, one specific part of it hurt more then any other, his upper left shoulder.
Finally able to cry out Ermm realized a bellow that was more fit for a child then a grown man, and one that drew the attention of the man in the coat. Turning to face the pile of rubble he focused his attention on it for a moment before gradually the pressure Ermm felt crushing his body let up, until at last the mountain of rock was floating high over head and came to a sudden fall several feet under him.
"Get up, Ermm. We've got trouble." The voice was familiar, but the face, the build, it was all still blurry to his eyes. After getting up and taking a minute to really focus on him the picture came out to be Nikana, with dust covering his clothes and face, along with several cuts and bruises. Reminded of his own wound Ermm grabbed his should and felt it...wasn't quite connected right, it was wiggly in the socket or something, he wasn't quite sure.
"Ermm..." Unlike the usual. "Ermm" that was mutter this one had a clear hint of concern attached to it, one Nikana picked up on, ether audibly, or he sensed it. Navigating the slops of debris down to him Nikana fell to a knee and, all in one motion, lifted and pushed Ermm's arm back into place with a loud popping noise. It was still sore, but hurt nowhere near has much now.
"Now, get up and help me, i gotta find my scythe, you know my scythe, the thing i carry around with me?" Ermm gave a slow nod before getting up and joining in the search, the thought never occurring to him that Nikana was only looking for the scythe and not him.

A crowd of curious onlookers gathered around the outskirts of what was once the Jedi Temple. The fireworks display from space had attracted a great deal of attention and many of the locals were now intent on watching the mysterious home of the once powerful Sith Lord Cain burn to the ground. Rumors filtering through the crowd placed responsibility for the attack on the Federation, some even going so far as to speculate that Coruscant's liberation was imminent. However, the more savvy Coruscanti would note the obvious contradiction of the Imperial Army clearing the area well before hand and now mobilizing what looked like a strike force to sweep the remains of the Temple. That, and any pilot who happened to be waiting in shipping lanes had a first row seat to witness Imperial ships turning and firing on their own capital. It was an odd turn of events to say the least and one that left most of the public dumbfounded to make any sense of.
Shortly after the bombardment several landing crafts descended from orbit, placing more Imperial boots on the ground outside of the temple as well as the new Emperor himself. From the distance the crowd was kept from the Temple, it was difficult to make out this mysterious Sith's face let alone the words he was speaking.
"That structure is highly unstable, so I don't want anyone in there any longer then they need to be," Ryuu called out to the Imperials standing at attention before him, "Our objective is a laboratory in the lower levels of the Temple. Your orders are simple; terminate anything that still has a pulse. Alpha team, led by Commander Vhenn, will rig up permacrete charges in four locations around the Temple. Bravo Team will come with me to finish off the contents of the lab. Once the building is cleared the order will be given to bring down the house. Understood?"
Ryuu gave Raiku a nod, "Let's move out!" With that the two teams split up and charged straight into hell. The giant statues of the "Four Masters" still stood flanking what was the main entrance to the Jedi Temple. The archway had caved in and now much of the entrance was blocked by debris. Extending his hand, Ryuu gently pulled the rubble aside. In its place a thick veil of smoke poured out from within the temple. The Imperials all strapped on their breath masks and one was handed to Ryuu before Bravo team entered the Temple.
Within the Temple Ryuu remained on guard, there was no telling when the rest of the ceiling or walls might cave in around them. Fires still raged inside the structure and the temperature alone had become nearly unbearable. Ryuu strode forward through the grand entrance hall, deflecting aside falling chunks of duracrete with the Force as he approached the lift. In an act of wishful optimism he pushed the button... no response. Waving his hand in front of his body, Ryuu willed the doors of the lift to slide open, the heavy durasteel doors parting before the Emperor. Ryuu took a step forward, leaned over and glanced down the shaft. A blast of cool air wafted up from below and washed over Ryuu's face. While the upper levels boiled crimson with the illumination of raging infernos, the bottom of the shaft was pitch black. Ryuu turned back to Bravo team and gave a nod, the first wave of troops then stepped forward and attached their grappling hooks to the beams at the top of the shaft and began their descent down to the Temple sub-levels.
Meanwhile, Alpha team approached the Temple from the opposite side. The courtyard remained oddly serene despite the chaos all around it. The glow of the flames licking out through the Temple's rear entrance danced in the reflection of the courtyard pond as Raiku and Alpha Team marched past. The fire at this end was too intense for Alpha team to just walk in the back door. Instead Raiku led the troops to one of the Temple's windows and shattered it with a well aimed blast of her heavy Mandalorian pistol. Several adjacent windows were dispatched in a similar manner as Alpha team poured into the Temple.
Once inside, Raiku spoke into her comm device, "Amelia, talk to me."
"*Ahem*, yes Ma'am, I've taken the liberty of running a diagnostic on the Temple's schematics. I've been able to locate a few key structural points within the Temple that should bring down the structure if taken out. The point nearest to your current position would be in the Jedi Library about 100 meters northeast of you."
"Copy that," Raiku replied, placing her comm back on her belt, "Alpha team, with me. And watch your step..."
As the last of Bravo Team hit the bottom of the shaft several of the Imperials had already activated the lights atop their rifles. There was no power to the lights in the labyrinth beneath the Temple anymore and the narrow corridors were absolutely pitch black. Ryuu descended the shaft last, moving back to the head of the team and activating his lightsaber to light his way. The bright red blade only illuminated a few meters in front of Ryuu, he would need to rely on his feelings down here to navigate.
The pain Ryuu had detected within the Temple from space had become a dull throb once he stepped onto Coruscant's surface, but now, down here in this pit, it was palpable. Something had suffered down here... perhaps was still suffering. Ryuu staggered a moment under the immensity of the wound in the Force that resided under the Jedi Temple, his very breath having been stolen away.
"Sir, are you alright?"
Ryuu straightened back up, killing his emotions in that moment so to center himself once more, "I'm fine. Let's hurry."
Ryuu led Bravo team through the narrow halls of the Temple sub-level, his feelings pulling him inexorably toward the heart of the darkness. It wasn't long before the team stumbled upon Cain's meditation chamber. Though one of the pillars in the room had crumbled it was otherwise unaffected by the bombardment from above. At the center of the chamber... and the source of the wound in the Force... were three wretched creatures sitting in silent meditation at the points of a triangle drawn on the floor. All three were malnourished to the point of starvation and all three had their eyelids sewn shut. One was a Togruta male, the other an old human with pale skin, and the third...
Ryuu fell to his knees. Behind him Bravo team raised their blasters to the three figures seated within the chamber. Ryuu drew a deep breath as he gazed upon what had once been Takia Rossi. Not saying a word he closed his eyes. Bravo team opened fire. After only a few shots it was done. But the pain... still it lingered.
The Imperials moved forward, several fanning out to search the rest of the passages while one checked the pulse of the three fallen Sith, "These are dead. Let's keep moving."
"Captain! We've found the laboratory!" Called an Imperial voice from outside the meditation chamber. Ryuu rose slowly, still staring down at Tak for a long while before following. A good portion of the laboratory's ceiling had collapsed, but several bacta tanks remained untouched, inside each of them was Cain... at least, Cain clones. Stepping into the laboratory, Ryuu paused, his left hand raising to his hood and pulling it back, "There is someone else still here..." he said finally, gripping his lightsaber with both hands.

Ermm sat in place an extra moment swinging his arm to and fro slowly working the joint back into its socket after the Doctor had popped it back into place initially. Now he stood tall, though difficult to see, on top of a pile of rubble digging through it frantically. Raising his hands to cleanse his eyes of the dust that has made its way in and around Ermm took a second to work his fist around his closed eyes before returning his gaze into the darkness.
"What are you doing, find my scythe!" The sudden and harsh tone of his master struck Ermm like a whip, and motivated him to begin probing the nearest collection of rock, lab equipment, and other various items from the upper level. As he dug Ermm could make out the faint grumbling of his "Friend" while he sifted through his own section, only moving at a greater pace by utilizing the force. Nothing but silent rantings regarding the importance of finding the weapon and quickly getting out of the temple.
After several long minutes of searching through his pile of debris Ermm heard the doctor call out in success moving toward Ermm weapon in hand. "Quick Ermm, lets go." Having gotten up and rushed toward the doctor Ermm caught up with him quickly and without incident, however the subtle hint of gunfire up ahead brought a twinge to the doctor's features, a mark of fear crossing them.
"Ermm...?" He mumbled curiously looking toward Nikana for guidance. He gestured for Ermm to remain silent and not move, Nikana quickly dashing toward the elevator shaft in an attempt to pry open the sealed doors, however after doing so and seeing that it was a much to high climb the doctor abandoned that notion returning to Ermm's side head in hand.
"Quick, take cover. don't move until i give the order." He ordered in a low intense tone has the footsteps moved ever closer. Ermm obeyed like an obedient child moving behind one of several tanks and docking down. While Ermm did has he was told Nikana moved cautiously through the lab taking temporary shelter under the gauze of shadows. Moving between two large power generators Nikana waited to see what his opponent looked like, and he did not have to wait long.
Through the darkness He made out the appearance of a young warrior clad in simple robes, he had an armed squad readied and waiting behind him and lightsaber in hand for igniting the path ahead. And just has Nikana knew he was there, he knew Nikana was within the chamber, gripping the saber with both hands in preparation for an attack. Nikana realized it was useless to attempt and hide from the sith, and therefore stepped out from between the generators, scythe in hand, but no indications of attack present.
"I take it you've come here with intent to kill?" The question was an honest one, and the answer seemed much to obvious to bother asking in the first place. However Nikana was severely underwhelmed with the new emperor, and was equally indifferent concerning him. Not has powerful, nor interesting has Cain, but still a wonder in some unseen way, Nikana could sense something odd about this one.

Bruised and battered, he could barely sit up, let alone stand. Humilation, taken down by a couple rebels... "Hey...you're back..." a female voice called. Ariana sensed that he was finally coming to. She had since showered and stolen a new outfit.
-
Flashback:
Anna: Does this look good on me?
Clerk: Yes (lie)
Anna(angry and choking the clerk with the force): Find me something that looks good!
The clerk returned with the best looking black dress and shoes in the store, and handed it to her.
Anna: Now do my lipstick, and don't screw it up!!
The nervous clerk awkwardly opened up her own red lipstick and Ariana let her apply it, easing the choking a bit to avoid accidental mistakes. The lady handed her a pair of cute panties as well before literally fleeing the store, leaving Anna with whatever she felt like taking. Being blind, she had little interest... but atleast she knew what she was getting dressed up in looked good. So she put on the dress and shoes, and took Gustoph with her to outside the jedi temple.
-
"Hey... looking good. How did you...?" -if you're blind...- he wondered. " Heh, a lady has her way." she chuckled. "How long was I out?" The sith asked her. Two hours...I've been healing you."[/b] She told him. "Hmph... you blasted me." Gustoph muttered. He was going to kill you if I didn't! I saved your life!" She growled. Gustoph was silent. He had accepted death, was prepared to die a warrior. This woman had intervened...why?
"Why... I'm not a good person... you should have let me die back there." he told her. "Well... you came to protect me." she shrugged. "And maybe..." She started, but blushed a bit. "Nevermind..." she finally sighed. Gustoph raised a brow as he looked over at her. She was quiet...
"Cain's dead, isn't he..." Gustoph asked. "How? Who could destroy him?" He asked.
"Yeah... I heard such from my father. I don't know the details... but watch your back. Who ever did it doesn't like your kind...You're a Lieutenant, yes?
"Can you stop reading my mind when I sleep? It's annoying..." he muttered.
"Sorry...it's just that i heard the imperials stormed the Jedi temple from a woman and her child on the way here. I wanted to check it out...but I wanted to ask you first."
Gustoph didn't even wait for her to finish her sentence before he began scaling the sides of the temple. he had experience with this... Anna sighed and hovered along beside him
"You should stay out... You're a wanted fugitive...gah...just pretend you're my prisoner, ok?" he asked. She smiled, and sealed her own hands with force locks, making it seem like Gustoph was controlling them with a little acting. "Lets do it..." She giggled.
"Alright bitch, I'm turning you in..." he finally said, after they made their way into a large room in the temple. "Hey! Soldier! You there! Don't run past a commanding officer!!" he growled to a random guy.

Ryuu and Bravo Team stood among the dull glow which permeated the bacta in the tanks that lined the laboratory. The lights were old and most had been damaged in the bombardment. The lamp for the tank nearest to Ryuu flickered, allowing fleeting glimpses at the half mangled face of the new Emperor as he stood with his fallen master's weapon in hand.
"I take it you've come here with intent to kill?" Nikana asked as he revealed himself, brandishing a weapon. Ryuu could sense no panic in this scientist upon being faced with a legion of Imperial troops and a Sith Lord, there was no nervousness nor any inclination to attack the moment something should stimulate his senses. It would be an odd disposition for anyone who was not trained to use the Force.
Bravo Team immediately raised their weapons to Nikana as he made his presence known, simply waiting for Ryuu to give them the word to fire. Ryuu's anger was still fresh, his wounds still deep and bleeding out a thick bile of hatred which was now given a face by the good doctor Nikana.
"What were you doing down here?" Ryuu asked through clinched teeth. Not waiting for an answer he slammed his fist against the flickering tank to his left, the blow landing with an explosion of festering dark side energies that shattered the thick glass and sent the bacta inside flooding out thigh deep over the floor before receding. The nude cadaver that had been floating inside fell limp, suspended still in its shattered shell by the tubes and life support wires that had kept the clone alive until the recent bombardment had cut most of the power.
"Form up."
With Ryuu's words Bravo team quickly moved into positions around Nikana, keeping their rifles aimed in his direction. Once the troops had surrounded the scientist Ryuu himself took a step forward.
"Stay sharp," he warned, "There's someone... or something else in here. Cover us."
Giving Cain's lightsaber a slow spin, Ryuu stepped toward Nikana. His one good eye burned in a molten hue suggesting a level of dark side corruption which Ryuu rarely allowed himself, "Be grateful to me, Sith. By killing you quietly here in the dark I will be granting you the peace you've so callously denied your victims."
Meanwhile, Alpha Team was hard at work setting up charges around the Temple. Raiku stood in the Room of a Thousand Fountains as several Imperials readied the permecrete charges there are the base of what was the grand waterfall. The torrent that once roared loudly within the Temple's walls had long since fallen silent and the ponds long since dried up.
"Is that the last of them?" Raiku asked as the troops finished setting the charge.
"Negative, there's still one more," Amelia responded over the comm link, "The last location is an old meditation chamber on the Temple's western side."
"Copy that. We're on our way."
As Raiku and Alpha team began to pack up their remaining charges the sound of shouting reverberated very clearly from the halls outside. Raiku stomped out to see what was the matter. A man and a woman were shouting at one of the troops who was standing guard. As soon as Raiku cleared the entrance to the Room of a Thousand Fountains into the hallway she drew her blaster from its holster and aimed it at the man's head.
"I don't know who you two ass holes are, but you picked the wrong pad for a quickie. Alpha Team!" With Raiku's call some twenty armed Imperials poured into the hall and surrounded Gustoph and Ariana, raising their blasters and taking aim, "You remember the Emperor's orders. Anything with a pulse. Make it quick, the sooner we vaporize this core slime the sooner we can get the hell off this decaying rock."

Nikana remained still, calm, and collected at the end of lab as Ryuu began his inspection, both visually and with his sense, of the dark, demolished lower level laboratory. The young warrior's hatred intensified as he inquired as to what was being done within the lab. Without waiting for an answer he pummeled the nearby cloning tank with a single, enraged blow sending cracks rippling through it until it gave way.
The fluids washed across the floor brushing against piles of rubble and running until it met the Doctor's boot. While he kept a composed decorum on the outside a chill rushed Nikana as he witnessed the display of darkness, it could always seep through, like a drug he couldn't help but grew steadily excited as his anger boiled.
Ryuu ordered his men to take position around the doctor, blasters held high and ready to fire the men seemed to keep their composure better then Nikana was managing. Ryuu himself stepped forward next forewarning of another presence to his troopers, obviously Ermm hadn't slipped the warrior's senses so easily as Nik would have liked.
Ryuu would further support his men by stepping into the line of combat himself, an honorable commander indeed. However Nikana still held onto some hope that he could resolve this without violence. Taking a single step forward to mach Ryuu's, though careful again not to indicate any sort of attack, he raised both hands, scythe still in one. As a sign of peace.
"Ryuu-kun. So it seems the news is true, you've dispatched Cain-Sama and taken his mantle. I hadn't thought it possible to be honest, his power was overwhelming. But regardless of how strong he was, i was not his slave, i had a simpler motive for joining him, not power, revenge, or any of those Sith cliches. Experimentation and observation that's all a true scientist cares about. And I am a scientist. Everything in the world is an experimental test subject, of course that includes myself as well."
He touched the scar running across his left cheek to serve as an example to Ryuu of what it was he referred to, and to bring the minor stimulation to the old scar.

"Woah woah, lower your weapons. I am a lieutenant in the Imperial Forces, I came to assist the mission! This girl is a prisoner, luggage from a prior mission. She's blind and harmless... Here, my identification..." Gustoph said, pulling out his wallet. "W-what's going on?" Anna asked, getting down onto her knees as the pretended to pathetically search blindly. She crawled up to one of the guards, and touched his boot and gasped as she stood up and touched the end of his blaster. She crouched back down, covering her head with her hands in apparent fear for her life.
"I thought you weren't going to kill me!! You brought me to a firing squad?" She asked. Ariana turned her head out of view, as a mild smirk spread across her face. Telepathically, she sent a message to Gustoph.
-They're alligned with the traitor...kill the sith, that's their orders... you're in danger. You have your lightsaber with you, so they know you're a sith. You can't act your way out of this...- She told him, without speaking a word. Ariana had thought ahead, by touching someone she was able to read much further into their motives than she could from afar.
Finally, she stood up, and used her powerful telekinetic force powers to draw one of the blasters to her and away from the imperial. "You suckers...." She muttered, as the guard's machine gun style blaster started firing randomly in a circle around Gustoph and Anna. The girl had absolutely zero control over where the beams would fly, but it was bound to hit at least a couple of them and stir up general chaos.
Gustoph ignited his lightsaber, and attacked systematically, going where ever the blaster wasn't presently firing and ducking when it did. Gustoph started to slash down his fellow imperials. "So you're the bastards who murdered Cain? Who's in charge!?" Gustoph asked Raiku, whilst slicing at her forces.

The tension in the hall snapped with Anna's sudden offensive and all hell promptly broke loose. The blaster fire from Anna struck a pair of Imperials before they could retaliate with their own weapons, the remaining troops opened fire on the male and female Sith. Gustoph busting out his lightsaber only solidified his standing as an enemy.
When the fire broke out Raiku dove back behind the wall in the Room of a Thousand Fountains, narrowly avoiding a stray bolt that singed the marble molding around the grand room's entrance.
"So you're the bastards who murdered Cain? Who's in charge!?" Gustoph shouted amidst the chaos.
"Like I'd tell you..." Raiku muttered, leaning around the corner to fire off a few blasts from her Mandalorian pistol before retrieving her communicator from her belt, "Amelia! Do you copy? We've run into some hostiles down here. We may need a little back up."
"Copy that," Amelia's voice cracked over the comm device, "Were you looking for muscle or finesse, ma'am?"
"No," Raiku replied, jerking back suddenly as a blaster bolt impacted the wall just around the corner again, "nothing too fancy. Just keep them from escaping."
"Yes, ma'am."
Raiku scowled, stuffing her comm device back onto her belt and fishing through one of the pockets before producing a grenade, "Hope anyone still alive out there has their masks ready..." Switching the grenade to live, Raiku leaned out the doorway again and gave it a strong toss, rolling it along the ground and at the feet of the Sith and the Imperials still in the hall. As it reached its targets the grenade loosed a stream of purple gas that rapidly billowed and filled the hallway. This particular gas was concentrated dose of the Lilith toxin from Chinine.
The Imperials that remained in the hall had taken up defensive positions behind some of the pillars that rose up into great arches which made up the hall's ceiling. Many had been killed, either struck with blaster bolts or hacked apart by Gustophs lightsaber. When Raiku's grenade entered the fray, most of those that remained did not react in time. Breathing in just a whiff of the gas caused them to collapse and begin to violently convulse. Raiku herself waited in the Room of a Thousand Fountains with her breath mask on for the gas to disperse.
Ryuu's face twisted with disgust upon hearing Nikana speak. He let his hood fall back over his shoulders and pulled off the mask that covered the burnt and disfigured right half of his face, "Is that... what you think?" Ryuu asked quietly, holding his lightsaber out to the side and lifting his gaze to Nikana, "is an atrocity committed in the name of science somehow forgivable? Do not delude yourself, you are a tool if you couldn't even appreciate that that monster was using you. If I am wrong then it is curious that you still linger here defending these abominations. Regardless of what you do now, you will be powerless to save this facility. So stand down or raise your blade and fight if the dark side so moves you. Either way, you lose."

Though he was caught up his his speech, Nikana did manage to take note of the steadily growing repulsive express that caressed Ryuu’s features, even through the shadows of his hood and the odd mask covering the right side of his face, it was obvious.. However the true extent of his antipathy didn’t completely strike Nikana until he finished speaking, allowing the young man his chance to reply. The apprehension in the room could be felt like heavy waves pounding against him.
Ryuu dropped the hood behind his head allowing his face to be more easily distinguished in the dank dungeon, he pulled the mask from his face revealing the wounds from battles long past, or in this case perhaps not. Nikana hardly caught the question imposed by Ryuu shortly after removing the faceplate. The warrior lifted his blade to his side, no attack was yet made, however it was a precursor to the possibility, and what a strong possibility it was, and an ever growing one at that. Nikana pondered only for an instant how many he’d slain with it in the emperor’s name, yet here he was extinguishing those who “Served” Him one at a time.
"is an atrocity committed in the name of science somehow forgivable? Do not delude yourself, you are a tool if you couldn't even appreciate that that monster was using you. If I am wrong then it is curious that you still linger here defending these abominations. Regardless of what you do now, you will be powerless to save this facility. So stand down or raise your blade and fight if the dark side so moves you. Either way, you lose."
Nikana had to crack a grin, even in this dull looking situation in which the numbers were piled against him. Ryuu made an excellent point, if he didn’t serve Cain then why did he insist on remaining in the temple. A part of him liked to say it was for the temples facilities, better then most, but perhaps that wasn’t the trust of the matter, maybe Cain had seeped in at the seams. He raised both hands higher now, dropping the scythe as his hands picked up. The argument was sound, and maybe this would be the only way to cleanse himself of Cain’s rule. However to answer Ryuu’s question Nikana deed return his gaze before any shots were fired, or heads chopped off.
Maybe the Sith, or whatever he considered himself, was right, Maybe Nikana’s logic had been twisted, his thoughts distorted, he had always seen himself as knowing what it was he was doing, and in a round about way, those actions being for a greater good. But now, in hindsight, his reasons seemed as flawed as Ryuu made them sound. How would uncovering his own secrets help anyone aside from fulfilling his own curiosity, and letting Cain’s reach extend even further.
“You make a strong point, Ryuu-Kun, I must admit i had always liked to justify my actions as building a better future, but perhaps...in looking back i was being manipulated....” He trailed off as gradually the full realization clicked in his mind, the gears, cracked and rotated producing the final revaluation. Could it be Cain had planed it all out, was he really that thorough, was that level of step by step control even possible, even for one such as the former emperor, was his reach and power that incredible? It seemed unreal.
“Well what about you, you were the emperor’s sword, was your path always under the invisible helm of Cain-Sama? Your obviously still seeped in the tangles of darkness,” He said making a subtle gesture toward his earlier display with the cloning tank, and now the corruption coursing through him. “And yet you attempt and purge it from the galaxy, why? What’s your motive, Ryuu-Kun, what do you intend to gain from cleansing darkness with more darkness?"
The question came as something of a last request, Ryuu seemed more perplexing by the instant, and his unpredictability led Nik to the conclusion that he’d be struck down where he stood for whatever righteous dogma Ryuu clung to which allowed him to justify his actions.. Would Ryuu’s reasoning be sound, or something more insane then his own justification?

Ariana was doing a pretty good job of deflecting blasts away from herself and her lone ally with force barriers, focusing primarily on defense at the moment. Gustoph was repelling blaster shots with his lightsaber, an an attempt to evade and counter attack anyone who shot at him, all the while taking a free swing when the chance presented itself. One blaster shot skimmed past his arm and burned him... he howled in pain, promptly healing himself. The wound on his arm was a mere burn, and healed up pretty nicely. Now the imperials seemed to be hiding behind the pillars. Ariana was taking similar cover, while Gustoph was just in a blood rage. The less than evil "sith" had no allegiences anymore.
"You people are going to destroy the entire universe..." he muttered. "I want no part of it...That's not what the imperial military stood for when I signed up. You're all traitors..." he growled. Out of the corner of his eye he noticed some weird gas, and a few imperials seemed to drap like flies. Anna was coughing, and fell down on one knee.
"This bitch is poisoning us..." She told him, attempting to grab and squeeze Raiku with telekinesis through the walls. Gustoph snarled hating the situation he was being placed in. He didn't want to fight her, but she was a traitor... The gas caused him to cough as well, but he ran out of the room in Raiku's direction.
-Wait...I can't just leave the girl in there...Fuuuuck...-
"Damnit! he growled, heading back in. She was already out like a light when he returned, and it wasn't long before he was equally drugged and fell over with a thud.

Kyrite waited in the doorway at the far end of the room of a thousand fountains. Once the blaster bolts had calm down and everything seemed under control he walked forward into the room. Telekinesis blew a slight draft down wind of him forcing the poison from the room, he was already slightly intimate with Mrs. Vhenn's tactics. He had come upon hearing that backup might be needed. He looked over many of the downed bodies before looking at the apparent enemies Raiku had been fighting.
"I see you have things under control here," said Kyrite simply looking to Raiku. The Umbaran seemed to either be unaware or ignoring the fact many of the bodies were convulsing. "I'll stick around so the same problem doesn't repeat itself."
Bulgender entered the room where Ryuu and the doctor was. The Taung was wearing his black mandalorian armor without a helmet. It had scratches, littered all over the armor. Paint chipped off here and there. He stopped just behind Ryuu.
"There's been contact with others inside this building. It seems this place wasn't as empty as we would have thought," said Bulgender looking over the lab. He had no idea what most of the things in here did, nor did he care. He then looked to the scientist who was talking to Ryuu and listened into what he said before responding.
"If you light a flame in the darkness, you should be careful. You wouldn't want to burn yourself with the light," said Bulgender simply using a metaphor for his own answer. He assumed it was unwelcome but again, he didn't really care. As far as he was concerned the doctor was already dead, talk just prolonged the inevitable. He could feel the darkness of this place, and he would be glad to get rid of it. The Darkside may help him in battle, but he would never let it destroy him.

Raiku gasped a sigh of relief when she heard the second Sith hit the floor. It wasn't until all the sounds of blaster fire and choking coughs from the gas had silenced that Kyrite thought it prudent to show himself. Raiku holstered her pistol, giving the Umbarian a disdainful glance, "Just in time to help with nothing, I see," she commented with a chuckle, "Figures Ryuu would send Mr. Clean to watch my ass."
As Raiku stepped back out into the hallway only five Imperials were still alive or conscious, "You five, gather up these Sith and take them to the Force containment cells on board the Tempest."
"The Tempest?" One of the troops questioned, "but Lord Sartori's orders were to terminate the intrud-"
"I know what his orders were.... take them."
The Imperial gave a nod and the five them hoisted up Gustoph and Anna and carried them away from the temple.
"I hope you don't have any problem with that," Raiku said, intending her words for Kyrite but never turning to face him, "Come on, we have just one more charge to set..."
"Well what about you, you were the emperor’s sword, was your path always under the invisible helm of Cain-Sama? Your obviously still seeped in the tangles of darkness, and yet you attempt and purge it from the galaxy, why? What’s your motive, Ryuu-Kun, what do you intend to gain from cleansing darkness with more darkness?"
It didn't take Ryuu long to come up with an answer. His reasons were simple to him, and yet the closer he came to accomplishing them, the more complicated things seemed to become.
"Revenge," Ryuu answered simply.
Revenge. It was all the reasons he'd ever need. And now this man stood before him, his hands red with the blood of Tak and countless others that Ryuu could feel rising off of him like some putrid stink. What did it matter if he realized now the error of his ways? It was awfully convenient that he would repent now when the cleave of justice is bearing down upon him. Where was his compassion when he held the power? Where was it when Tak and countless others lay at his mercy only to have their lives stolen in cold blood? Killing this man now was no more than he had offered his victims, it was no more than he deserved. It was vengeance. Vengeance for Ryuu and for those who were not able to live long enough to seize it for themselves. What could be sweeter, what could be more right?
Yet... for some reason... it only made Ryuu feel sick. Despite himself Ryuu allowed his hatred to focus on Nikana. Ryuu began to collect his negative emotions allowing them to fester deep inside. He drew the dark side of the Force to him and channeled it through his body to his limbs. A sharp yet intoxicating pain accompanied the dark side as it rushed through Ryuu's flesh, blood and bones. All at once Ryuu then loosed the power of the dark side from his finger tips, not at Nikana, but at the two large generators he'd been hiding between. The energy exploded forth as arcs of blue-violet lightning that forked out and coursed into the generators, rapidly overloading them and causing a pair of fierce blasts to either side of Nikana, spraying metallic shrapnel across the room.
Expecting the attack, Ryuu was able to raise a simple bubble of Force energy to deflect most of the shrapnel away from himself, though the blast wave still knocked him back. In his anger Ryuu had no concerns about Bravo team. Most of the troopers that had surrounded Nikana were killed instantly by the concussive force of the blast while others were pelted with sharp metal that pierced their modest armor plates. Only the troops farthest from the generators were spared and they were now sprawled on the ground, stunned.
As Ryuu rose back up to his feet, his comm device suddenly cracked to life, "Ryuu, what the hell was that? The last charge has been set and armed. Get your asses out of there!" Raiku's message meant that there was now only precious little time left for the Temple. Ryuu could no longer feel the doctor's vital signs, but even if he were still alive, there would be no way he could survive the explosion that was to come. Ignoring the troops still unconscious on the floor, Ryuu beckoned for Bulgender to follow before heading back through the Temple's catacombs to clear the structure before it was brought down.

Kyrite simply did not say a word but continued to watch the scene unfold. The soldier tried to protest but Raiku wasn't hearing it to let these people die. "Wise choice," was all that exited Kyrite's mind though what specifically he was talking about was open for anyone to interpret. After they were done setting the charges Raiku and Kyrite moved to a safe distance, and they waited for Ryuu and Bulgender to get out of the temple. If they waited much longer he probably wouldn't have to worry about the large one's breath any longer. He gave that thought a moment, trying to consider who he had meant with "large one".
Bulgender did something similar to Ryuu however his concern wasn't the shrapnel. As he created his barrier he pushed back the otherway to counter act some of the blast wave. It hit him, and forced his mandalorian armor to skid along some of the surface of the room but he remained standing, like a cold brick refusing to give the wind any ground. Ryuu stood up and started to move motioning him to come on, he saw most were not in the shape they currently where in and that Ryuu was intent on leaving them behind. As he went to leave he turned at the last moment.
"You deserve warrior deaths," said Bulgender, as he closed his eyes for a moment, and then snapped each one's neck dislocating the spinal cord so they would die instantaneously. With that nod of respect to those who were suffering, he continued after Ryuu his large frame coming down the maze after Ryuu not yet using the force to augment his muscles.

Jedi Temple, lower levels.
Nikana stood, mere feet, from Ryuu allowing him to bolster with the powers of darkness without so much as flinching to try and defend himself. He truly had realized the error of his ways, Cain-Sama, no, that title did not apply to him any longer, he was Not the doctor's lord anymore. Cain, had twisted his vision, distorted his view of right, from wrong, promised to restore his body if he had given his service to the dark lord. Therefore, if Ryuu-Kun felt he deserved death, then he must have earned it, regardless of his transformation.
However, the fact that Ryuu himself was still entangled in the threads of hatred, nagged on in the back of Nikana's skull, he was eliminating the Sith, all for revenge? Then what did he plan...that would be the last mysterious the Doctor ever got to ponder, and the one he'd never solve.
Within an instant Ryuu released the pent up energy through his fingertips, not striking the Doctor has he expected, but instead hitting the generators behind him, causing a chain reaction. Spark blow out from ether side of the Doctor as the generator on his left exploded first, launching him toward the one on his right, only to be blasted yet again back into the left one. Afterwhich his smoking body hit the ground, face chard, the smell of roasted human flesh was easily detectable in the air. Tiny bits and pieces of shrapnel covered his body, poking out from various points of it.
In the shock of the blast, the snout, cowardice figure, still lingering several meters from the site of the conflict, ducked down even further to the floor to hide from the force of the blast, and remained down until the two men stalked out of the room, the one whom confronted the Doctor, and his odd companion. Slowly getting to his feet moments later, Ermm... rushed toward the emergency stairwell to escape the scene.
Several steps up the flight, something pulled at his heart that told him this was wrong. The Doctor had saved him, the Doctor was his only friend, he needed the doctor. Why had he contemplated leaving the doctor behind? Ermm... knew why, but didn't want to admit it. Instead he opted to rush back for his body, scooping up the toasty carcass of the Doctor. Ermm slugged him over his shoulder and wattled back up the stairs with his body.
Returning to the exterior landing pad from which he'd recovered the package for Nikana earlier, however it felt like a lifetime ago by now. Ermm, uncertain as to how, or why, found what looked to be the same ship as before sitting exactly how it was when he retrieved the package, rear hatch and all still open.
Quickly moving up the ramp he dropped the Doctor's body about halfway inside the ship before advancing into the cockpit, at least its what he took for the cockpit considering where it was, and what it looked like. Once inside the ship began talking to him, about this or that. Instead of actually listening to it, he ran up to the biggest set of computers and began randomly hitting buttons until he got the desired result, however that didn't come until well after he fired a string of blaster bolts into the Coruscanti sky, and fired a string of missiles.
Once however he did hit the autopilot and the ship rose from its platform, closing the hatch and side doors automatically, the ship took off toward the atmosphere, with its array of cloaking devices activating as well, due to the computer alone, nothing Ermm did to it helped.
Once through the atmosphere the ship automatically locked in the last set of coordinates Nikana had set, and entered Hyperspace headed for the location.
