Nikana dropped the butt of his cigarette on the floor crushing it afterward as he gently ran a hand across his chin in silent contemplation. To recreate the same exact Serum was not what he expected Cain to want, maybe an improved version, but the same one?
"Yeah i could, but i would like to remind you Cain that i'm not sure of the original effects compound seven had, that was just a hypothesis. However i can recreate and study the formula as requested and discover its full range of effects." He stopped momentarily as the thought skipped passed has to what results this could yield, what questions he'd finally have answered, but where to start.
"I will need a lab set up for my work, someplace in the core is fine. However for the time being i must go to Tatooine and see if i can recover any notes from the old facility there if you want me to start. So before i depart Cain would there be anything else?"

"You presume my bodily state bothers me. I assure you, you know nothing of my condition if you can even call it that." said Scar whose mouth moved and revealed teeth that looked almost made of stone. He let the conversation between Cain and the doctor continue until it was done, and he looked to Cain for recognition. "Once the good doctor here is finished, I'll talk to you about whether or not we can strike up between the Empire and my company. I have a feeling the Empire wouldn't mind my.... methods."

Cain nodded silently in response to Nikana's requests, waiting for him to finish before answering, "I trust the facilities here in the Temple will be more than adequate for your work. If you need to be leaving then I suggest you get started. You are dismissed, doctor." Cain gave Nikana a nod before turning back to Scar, "You presume that your appearance is all that I have the power to remedy. Trust me, my friend, there are far greater benefits to what I offer than simple aesthetics. But before we make any deals, perhaps you'd like to tell me a bit about yourself... and who you work for."

Nikana nodded silently as Cain resigned his work space to the Temple, it would work he was sure some part of it was equipped properly, and if not a few modification here and there would not be minded. He checked to ensure the few belongings he brought with him into the temple had still been on him before addressing Cain with a simple.
"Then i shall be on my way." He turned and stepped gradually away from the room of a thousand fountains, and from there the temple itself taking a quick survey of the battlefield the primary chamber had become on his way out.

"I am a business man, or so my associates call me. Since the rise of your Empire, I have drawn in quite the amount of traffic with my business. I do not focus on one avenue of trade however. From Medical advancements, bodyguards, 'target acquisition', exploration of the force and it's applications and advancements, among other things. We go by the company name Darkhand, and the public knows very little that goes on within our organization, and we have hands in many places even some within your own empire." said Scar his demeanor never changing from the last. It was true enough but he assumed that the Emperor wanted more than that. Not the superficial role he took but that path that had brought him here.
"If you are looking for a more meaningful response, than I all have to tell you is that I come from a time when Sith magic was in it's prime. Many practiced it's arts but few had the skill. Back when we sith knew that anything was possible, and only needed the right application." continued Scar without skipping a beat. He wondered if he should lie and say he worked for someone else, for he could tell a half lie here. Honesty was the best policy however. When things turned sour it was best to have your hands clean. "I work for myself, and for a long time I have moved among the shadows of the galaxy disguising myself and my movements. Any who came across me just a few centuries ago wouldn't live to see the light of day. I know the danger of rumors, and being discovered prematurely. I take a risk exposing myself to you even now, for now you know of my existence."
Mr. Dark clasped his hands together at this moment. The sound of metal against metal ringing through the silent and still hall of the room of a thousand fountains. "I have finally secured enough wealth and influence to forge my own empire in the business of the galaxy, and there is now only one thing that can increase my influence. It has not escaped my attention that war is coming, and I have a few choices. I came to offer a partnership to benefit both sides, I have my own personal armada of ships and while it may not be the size of the empire's might it is a sizable. The Darkhand is known within the business world enough to have range extending far beyond the Empire's boarders as well as within. Backing one of the sides of this war will further my companies influence one way or another, and out of the three sides yours was the most.... familiar," stated Scar as an odd grin showed. "I do not to claim to know you, or your ideals but the follow similar parallels to the time and place I was raised. Thus I know more about your side than say... the Mandalorians. The Federation would only be taxing to me for their belief's might be a bit to.... naive. For my companies outlook. So it comes down to this, I offer my assistance in return for your mutual assistance. If not, I shall offer my assistance to others who will be willing to accept it."
With that Scar shut up. His eyes intense. Seemingly the only part of his body that looked like they belonged to a living person. The Emperor's answer could lead to a few interesting pathways, he wasn't sure of any of the outcomes for the force was jumbling him with flashes of the future, filled with so many possible outcomes, subtle differences that changed the whole vision of the future. It seemed that the smallest ripple in the pond in the fountains could drastically change the future. He was at a nexus point form where he, and he was sure neither Cain could see past.

Cain listened to Scar's lengthy answer which ultimately explained absolutely nothing of what exactly it was he wanted. Cain couldn't help but be curious as to why this man was being so elusive. He still hadn't told Cain exactly what it was he did and now he's going on about starships? Assistance in exchange for our assistance? Assistance with what? This man was either arrogant beyond comprehension, crazy or a little of both. Once Scar had finished speaking Cain remained silent, giving a few subtle nods before slowly walking around his guest in the direction of the exit.
"Mr. Dark, was it? Let me tell you... how this is going to work," Cain began, piecing together the right words in his head before continuing, "You are going to tell me... everything. And when I say everything, I do mean EVERYTHING. And then, when you've explained yourself to my satisfaction, I will decide whether or not to allow you to assist my Empire. I am a patient man, Mr. Dark. Three thousand years will do that to a person, but if there is something I have no patience for it is when people take me for some kind of fool... Now perhaps you simply do not understand what it is I do here, so I will give you the benefit of the doubt just this once. Now try that explanation again, this time without the cryptic bullshit."

Scar seemingly drew in a breath, as if thinking over his next answer and then in the most simple way he could put it, he spoke. "The simplest way to put it is I am motivated by anything that furthers me and my company's goals. Meaning money, and knowledge of the force. Anything else goes by the wayward side. If I have offended you it was not intentional." Mr. Dark allowed his hands to drop form their clasped position now to his sides. He didn't think that the Emperor was dense, but perhaps splitting his mind between three places might have crippled his critical thinking powers. Regardless, he would continue to answer the questions asked of him. Perhaps striking up a stronger connection to the Empire would be harder than he had thought. If the Emperor didn't want augment his own forces with an alliance to a small militia of ships, resources of a company, and a particularly strong force user than he always had other options as he had mentioned previously.

Cain stood silently, as if expecting Scar to continue talking. When he didn't Cain's already thin patience began to wane. Kairys reentered the room from behind Cain, taking up her place to his left and staring at Scar with the same exact eyes as Cain, "Not intentional? I would like to think you're not that stupid," Cain shot back, his tone remaining calm despite everything, "for only an idiot would walk into the Dark Lord of the Sith's home and accidentally insult him. Am I to understand that you're an idiot, Mr. Dark?"
Cain closed his eyes then, focusing for a moment on the Force all around them. Cain could sense the all too familiar tendrils coming from Scar. It had already become obvious that the decrepit man before him was a Sith Sorcerer, but less obvious was the spells that still lingered. Should Scar have quieted his mind he surely would have also been able to sense Cain's darkness spell still at work, "Why don't you release those incantations of yours, Mr. Dark," Cain suggested suddenly, "If you're going to be selling me something you're going to need to establish trust. I'd think a merchant such as yourself would realize that."

A smile crept into the conversation at this point. "I hold all my cards as long as I can before revealing them." said Mr. Dark as he loosened the spell he held about his ship that had allowed him to come to the surface of Coruscant without hindrance of any fleet above. "You can think what you want. Trust is such a fickle thing."
Scar felt the consciousness of words form in his head. At first he thought it was his own thoughts, but he noticed a moment later that it wasn't from his own mind. 'Be careful of this one.' He knew that him and Gaia were linked, but he hadn't expected it to take interest in his doings. 'I'll handle this,' projected Scar back before his eyes focused back on Cain.
"Before I continue I should know whether you are interested in material gain. Obviously you are interested in power but there are many kinds of power. Some more important than others of course," continued Scar only stopping to take a brief glance at one of Cain's servants. "It would also be best if I came to better understand your needs..."

As Scar released his spell of concealment the presence of Gaia washed over Cain like a flash flood. It was an impressive and alien thing, unlike anything Cain had ever felt before. Was it some kind of creature... or... a ship? The potential of such a thing was not lost on Cain, "Hmph!" Cain chuckled, folding his arms across his chest, "You could say that. As you so elegantly stated, there are many kinds of power. I don't discriminate. I think you know what I want, Mr. Dark. You already know about my Empire and my war, I suspect you've already put two and two together... that's why you've come here to offer me your services."
Cain paused, pacing a bit in front of Scar, rubbing his chin before continuing, "What I can't figure out is what exactly you expect to gain from me. And your reasons for hiding that vessel of yours from me... only curiouser. I'll make you a deal, merchant. Leave that... thing with me and I will grant you and your organization the Empire's full support." Cain kept a careful eye on Scar as he made his proposal. He was very interested in his reaction to such a suggestion. Ordinarily one ship in exchange for full military support would seem an exceedingly generous offer... but both he and Scar knew this was no ordinary ship. Cain just wanted to hear Scar say it...

"Heh, I don't think Gaia would like that," said Scar as he felt more words forming in his head. It was quite odd to always have an open connection to Gaia. He had learned despite the distance the connection never seemed to cease. 'Looks like he's caught you in his own game. So what are you going to do?' came Gaia's question and scar took a moment to think before responding. 'He's quite formidable without directly threatening you, It would be interesting to see this man in battle. He has already down played me however, and that is something I will not accept.'
"No doubt you sense the connection now between me and my ship. It is bonded to me by a force bond. I do not know if you have any knowledge of such things. We have a connection through the force that links us to one another, and what bolsters one of us can also bolster another. There however in lies the problem. The more powerful the force bond the more you feel the other. To destroy one could cripple the other," said Scar remembering his studies of force bonds. When he had obtained Gaia he didn't expect the bond to be so strong, he wondered if the ship dying would cripple him in anyway.... "I cannot give up Gaia however."

Cain chuckled softly. It was certainly a strange way to turn a phrase I don't think Gaia would like that? "I wouldn't worry about that bond," Cain said, "There are ways I can adjudicate that situation. Besides, who is the master here... you? Or your ship? Is it you that fears me... or is it this Gaia?" Cain's lips curled into a defiant sneer. There was clearly hesitation in Scar now where there hadn't been before. It was wise of him to suspect he may need to hide this 'Gaia' from Cain, but foolhardy to believe he actually could.
"You came here for my assistance, did you not?" Cain asked taking a step forward, "What about this Gaia could possibly be of more value to you than that?.... I wonder..." Slowly the Force moved in around Scar as Cain began to probe the Sith's mind, "Do not be afraid," Cain said then, sure that Scar could already feel the probe beginning, "I mean you no harm. I only wish to see the truth."

As Cain came forward a step so did Scar. In fact his manner might be considered threatening, but he already knew his decisions on such things. "If it's fear you sense than those three thousand years must have addled what you feel or whatever you feel is so foreign to you that fear has blended into an array of emotions." said Scar simply. As Cain started to probe his mind he would find a solid blocked wall thrown up not only by scar's mental defenses, and his years of training to keep mental attacks out, but also Gaia's own defenses merged with his.
"I suggest if you want the 'truth' as you call it, you need but ask for a tour or a demonstration. Perhaps you should show a little trust, as well." said Scar who crossed his arms, he suddenly felt a presence pop up in the temple. A very familiar one. 'Kayla's in the building, are you sure you want to go through with what you planned?'
'I don't know what Kayla's doing here, my apprentice either followed me or has an uncanny knack for finding me by accident. I'm surprised the Emperor hasn't greeted however she's with...' relayed Scar before he gave Gaia a set of instructions to follow. Scar saw the world two fold, one from the outside of the temple and again from the room his physical body was in. "I suggest you don't move Emperor. I wouldn't want to have an unfortunate accident.
Gaia unleashed a large portion of it's power rerouting through many towers and unleashed a beam, not that far off of a turbolaser. It was different however, instead of it being a quick blast of laser it was a constant spray that cut a straight hole into the temple and blasted by igniting the room of a thousand fountains in the energy's glow and continued past until Scar told Gaia to halt it's fire. His demonstration wasn't through however, he had one more thing to show Cain.
"Gaia is older than even you Emperor, and I have a feeling you'd rather have me and Gaia on your side rather than that of your enemies." said Scar who now gathered a mass amount of force power, but it spiked creating visible disturbance in the room for Scar was careful not to direct it in an aggressive way. A second spike followed the first, when Gaia's and Scar energy combined, whether Cain had felt anything on this scale of power before he did not know regardless it was impressive. Cain's spell of darkness did not hinder the power and in fact may have contributed to it's pool. "Do you have any more questions that *I* can answer for you? Or should I see myself out."

"Hmph!" Cain snickered as Scar made an attempt to seem intimidating, or maybe it was just to punch holes in Cain's home. In either case, Cain could only laugh, "You are a foolish man, Mr. Dark. I would suggest you not struggle, you only make things more unpleasant for the both of us." Scar's mind barrier may have been powerful, but there was no such thing as a barrier which could not be penetrated. Like any barrier in the galaxy, breaking it was a matter of two key factors; pressure and time. But first Cain would have to gentle Scar down a tad. Quietly he began chanting a series of incantations. The swirling dark energy in the room, fierce as it was, would make what Cain had done almost imperceptible as the strands of the dark side wrapped around Scar like much of the energy in the room. Though even if they were to be perceived, it was doubtful that Scar would recognize this power.
The spell was the Dark Side Web, a rare and powerful use of Sith sorcery that could sever a being's connection to the Force and drain them of their strength all at once. The tendrils of the dark side wrapped themselves around Scar and ensnared him causing the swirling Force energy in the room to abruptly dissipate. Cain waited a moment as the Web drained Scar's energy before stepping forward and kneeling over him, "Why do they always choose the hard way?" Cain extended his palms over both of Scar's temple's and began to work on the barrier around his mind, probing gently as he searched for a weak point. The more the Dark Side Web drained Scar the weaker his blocks became until finally Cain was able to break through.
Inside Scar's head Cain saw Korriban, not the dead, ravaged land of today but Korriban as it was during the golden age. Cain knew it well. It was during this time that he and Vassek Noir had developed the Anemos Virus for the Sith. There were many ambitious Dark Lords back then, though Cain paid them no notice. It would seem that Scar was also one of them. There were hundreds of Sith there and... they were chanting something. Then, pain... the dark depths of sadness and despair that could only be associated with the void. Something had gone wrong, the ritual didn't work the way it should...
After nearly an hour of probing Scar's mind, Cain stood up and stepped back away from Scar, staring down at him, "An immortal huh?" Cain said under his breath, "Heh... far from it. I've seen greater men fall after claiming such things..." With that Cain let his Dark Side Web dissipate so that Scar's strength could slowly return to him, "You'll have to forgive me, you didn't seem willing to cooperate otherwise. Hmph, though it is interesting, after all this posturing and all you've been through, today you're nothing more then a common criminal. You can't tell me that this is what you envisioned for yourself all those years ago on Korriban. No... you have bigger plans... I like that."

Scar heard Cain starting an incantation, and his alertness came up two fold his immediate reaction was to act, to strike and silence the spell before it was gotten off, but that would only provoke more relatilation. Gaia on the other hand, began to moved swiftly about to form a barrier around scar while pulling him with force power attempting to pull him as it did itself into hyperspace. It knew Scar would not die form such a trip, but it was Scar himself that stopped this pull. 'Let the emperor have his way for now, there's no need to show him anything else.' said Scar through their link before the web slammed down in around him. He still fought to maintain the illusion of resistance, but it would be better this way if he resisted less. Cain's Darkside web felt only as if a drain was on him. He left no pain or suffering from this technique for he had long since been unable to feel pain. His mind than became a blur as he relived some of the more key parts of his past. As he came to the Emperor was already talking. His mind slowly cleared and he was finally able to respond.
"Hmpf, you'll forgive me if I stayed in the shadows. However those other immortals you claim to have met are the very people I was avoiding in my years." said Scar, who looked about the technique curious about it. It was one he hadn't heard before, but he had committed the words to memory. He knew that was only half the battle however, knowing the words to the spell and actually being able to use it were two completely different things. "Unfortunately my plan rests on me not revealing myself too early, and it seems I have overestimated the timing. The mistake is already done however."
Scar wondered at this technique. He couldn't feel the force, but than again he couldn't move any part of his body, since the force was the very thing keeping his body going and moving. He was surprised he was able to even function while inside this technique at all. There was only one thing he could do in this situation, which was smirk.
"While the side effects of the ritual were unintentional, it has allowed me to live well past my age limit. It has also allowed me to see into the land of the living and the dead. Chaos swirls through this place strongly, did you know that you have souls of chaos following you? I have a feeling you may have killed these ones." commented Scar as he seemingly stared into the space behind Cain before coming back to him. "It looks like you control where we go from here. I surely hope Gaia doesn't decide to do anything rash."
