Arson almost insulted by the question given to him by the Corporal. He disarm the soldier's blaster as it drop to the ground, turning the Corporal that the soldier was facing Arson. He still held the dagger tightly on the neck as they were face to face. "What I do I want here?" Arson growled, his anger was not placed at the Corporal but at his illogical question.
"I should be the one asking you that. I live in this planet. This was my home." Arson intentionally used the word was instead of is. Arson's eyes quickly examined the Corporal, seeing nothing special about him. "I need to go Coruscant to meet the Dark Lord. Can you fly a ship?" Arson demanded, watching the Corporal's eyes trying to catch any deception in case he would lie in his answer.

"Sensors only picked them up a few moments ago, Captain. How they could have been loitering in the system for that long without anyone knowing...."
"Means they were spying on us, Lieutenant." Rain said, watching the lights flash across the interior of the turbolift as they were carried down from the command deck towards the starboard flight decks.
"Their message did say they were here on peaceful terms though." Harkness countered.
"Exactly what I would tell my enemy right before I boarded their ship and killed the crew." The Captain said in return, keeping her eyes fixed on the doorway in front of them as the lift slowed to a stop and the doors opened with a sharp hiss.
As Rain and the Lieutenant stepped off of the elevator and into the hangar, they were greeted by a pair of alien craft docked awkwardly in the hangar. These transports had not been built to be hosted by an Imperial ship, and sat in an unnatural state of hover, suspended just feet above the tarmac. All around the ships, dozens of Imperial soldiers had formed defensive perimeters, weapons trained at what they assumed to be the exit hatches of the alien vessels.
"Sergeant."
"Captain." The senior NCO reciprocated with a brief nod of his head and a sharp salute as they turned their collective attention back to the shuttles.
"Ever seen anything like 'em before, Ma'am?"
"No.." Rain wasn't usually so blunt, but there wasn't much else to say about it. All they had to do now was wait for their new arrivals to reveal themselves.
Temple of the Ancients, Antechamber
The Dark Lord took notice of Lucifer's nervous glances towards a dimly lit hallway, confirming his earlier suspicions that he had not come to this place alone. A notion that was even further supported when the man shouted for his companion to leave, before charging straight ahead.
Malum prepared to defend himself, using the force to call his saber to his palm from its place on his hip. In a single flick of his wrist, the blue blade hissed to life, humming gently at the Sith's side as Licifer continued his ill advised attack. Suddenly, against Lord Malum's anticipation, he stopped in mid-stride.
Frozen in place, the man began to have a loud conversation with himself, his voice echoing off of the walls of the chamber as he conversed with himself for a moment.
The display struck Malum as an all too familiar sight. He knew all too well the feeling of having two minds possessing the same body. Of course, that was before the Dark Side had allowed him to turn his burden into a highly useful tool.
"Come Sith lord i invite you to my world."
The eventual invitation, though unexpected, elicited a feint sensation of anticipation on Lord Malum. It had been some time since he had delved into that realm, but he was willing to do so once more, if only for the pleasure he would glean from watching this man go insane. Deactivating his weapon, the Dark Lord slowly closed his eyes and began to meditate beyond the commotion of the room, standing perfectly still as he did so.
Though he appeared motionless on the outside, like a grim statue in the world, inside, Lord Malum was finding his way through the Force into the other man's mind. A process that did not take long given that he had been invited there, and thus the door opened for him.
"Your world? This is your world, boy?" An disembodied voice hissed in Lucifer's head from the darkness. "You have much to learn yet about this world."
As had been the case many times over in Malum's mind before the Dark Side, the image of an Imperial officer garbed in a black uniform made of fine linens, slowly materialized out of the darkness in Lucifer's mind to greet him. Janus' black eyes stared into the very heart of Lucifer, attempting to break past every barrier he had in an attempt to wrestle control of his thoughts away from him so that the Dark Lord could do as he willed to mold his thoughts and memories into any conceivable horror he could imagine.
Outside the Temple of the Ancients
The Corporal shook his head slowly as Arson roughly turned him to face him eye to eye. The edge of the knife was still digging uncomfortably into his neck.
"I'm no pilot.... Just a soldier." He said, a slight tremble in his voice as he tried to remain calm. A great feat to accomplish given his current situation.

Lucifer stood statue still as Malum began to infiltrate his mind piercing whatever blocks he may have had with utmost ease for the warrior's defenses were put asunder by another undetected force within his subconsciousness that he was not aware of until this point. The few he did have that were his own and unaffected by this new dark entity were far beyond what one might consider weakened, they were close to nothing, as this dark spectrum slowly dissolved them of any merit with the eraser that tore apart his memories.
The winged combatant fell into his own world instinctively, or more with a fierce tug, dropping down, down, down into an engulfing blackness until he came to a gentle rest on a checkered floor one pale unseen light shone upon him deep shadows surrounding the area outside of its protective bask.
Chamber of solace, inner mind.
"Your world? This is your world, boy? You have much to learn yet about this world."
Came the featureless tone of his invader remarking upon his brother's earlier comment when he welcomed this dark being into his mind, which made Lucifer wonder what he was doing here. Slowly and seemingly with diabolical intend emerged this most unwelcome guest, at least to one party he was unwanted. Dressed in an imperial officer's uniform Lucifer's attention was instantly brought to the eyes of Malum. Two pure pool of black bore into Lucifer's soul attempting to break further into his mind as if he were cracking a bank volt.
"An open mind is like a fortress with its gates unbarred, and unguarded." Came a second voice, extremely familiar Lucifer placed it in only a moment, seconds before his appearance, it belonged to his younger brother.
Stepping out of the opposite corner of the chamber he was clad in a dark suit with stripes both hands stuffed into the wrinkle free dress pants his walk indicating no worry or fear at Malum's visit, dark brown, nearly black, untamed hair framed a youthful face, some would say child like, but two red eyes portrayed a much more sinister and overly knowledgeable being considering how young he looked. he stopped a short distance behind his younger brother.
"Refrain from your attack, Sith, I did not summon you for combat." Noctis rose one hand and snapped a finger which prompted the white and black tile below Lucifer to give way plunging him deeper within this realm.
"His mind is something of a fresh one at this point, unguarded from such an onslaught. Perhaps we may discuss why i have requested you here civilly, or if you do wise to test you obviously formidable skills then i would prove a more challenging opponent."

The two vessels came to a slow descent on no landing gear to speak of emerging as it hovered an inch from the ship's deck before stopping maintaining its place rocking ever so slightly as if a boat on water. One of the silver vessel's flanks popped open a sharp hiss filling the air for a moment as it slowly met the deck a moment later four tall unbeknown figures stepping out the first looking up and taking a strong wiff of the Manticore's air. The group stalked down moving several paces away from there ship until the leader, clad in silver armor, rose a hand and barked an order in their foreigner tongue.
"Aufhören!" They followed through stopping in an disorganized fashion around the center of the deck returning the gaze of those looking on in bewilderment at there sudden arrival. One even made an aggressive flinching motion at a human pointing his weapon toward them coupling it with a roar to spook him, getting a hardy laugh afterward.
"Fool!" the leader reprimanded speaking now in basic as he moved passed two of his own to strike his subordinate down with a powerful and swift kick to the back of his right leg taking him to the ground. The silver alien directed one of his four digits at his green colored comrade.
"remain on the ground until i finish." He ordered prompting the other to stop his efforts to raise. the commander moved back to the front dropping to a knee along with the others.
"I am Ein Krieger Frieden füralle. i come hoping to enjoy an audience with your leader." He announced remaining on the ground until a response was given.

The second dropships flank door opened with a sharp hiss as well, but this dropship was black, and showed a small mist of condensation. From it stepped out five large Zante's, shorly fallowed by a massive one.
Cold orange eyes of Exorcist Ripa Ubel Traum scanned the deck, taking in the view, as well as the scent. He didn't like the alien, metallic smell. It burned deep inside his sinisus. A sharp clack on metal on metal drew his attention.
The smack of ther commader on a suborninant drew a faint twitch of his mandibles. He had to look over the head of a fellow Zante to watch the interaction, but then it paid to be a foot taller than everyone else.
Slowly, his eyes were drawn to a human female. Ripa took a few short steps to stand behind his commander, heavy feet thudding on the metal bulkheads. His gaping maw of a mouth was open, as usual, sharp teeth holding a slight twinkle in the light as he stood next his commander.
Sometimes this was all anyone needed to get a comparison of Ripa to a different Zante. Most Zante's were lean, while Ripa was thick with muscle. He waited patiently for a command, hopefully that of an attack. He was thirsty for blood. A soft growl eminated from Ripa, until a member of his group, who was standing near him, prodded him in the side, and he instantly shut up, but his mandibles remained open.

As Janus delved ever deeper into Lucifer's mind, he was brought to a strange room. A room composed of no walls, or ceilings or boundaries, save for the small patch of black and white tiled floor illuminated by a lonely ray of light emitting from an unknown location. This was certainly familiar territory for the Sith, the feeling of isolation and loneliness were strong here. Ideal emotions to make the effects of his influence all the more acute.
"An open mind is like a fortress with its gates unbarred, and unguarded."
The disembodied voice caught Janus' attention, his head snapping instinctively in the direction it had come from in time to see a neatly dressed man step out of the shadows and into the very edge of the light's influence over the room, if it could be called that. His unkempt hair hung in tendrils around his face, drawing attention to his sinister red eyes as they priced out from inky depths beyond the pale light.
He showed no signs of worry or fear. Instead, he acted as it he had anticipated this meeting all along. Raising a hand, he snapped his finger, the sharp noise echoing in the shadows as the tiled floor fell out from beneath Lucifer and plunged him ever deeper into his own realm.
"His mind is something of a fresh one at this point, unguarded from such an onslaught. Perhaps we may discuss why i have requested you here civilly, or if you do wise to test you obviously formidable skills then i would prove a more challenging opponent."
Janus looked back to where Lucifer had been standing, then back to Noctis. This had been the plan all along. But he knew as much coming into this. An invitation between dark forces was not something that was usually made without the promise of deceit.
"His mind is so.... Raw, untapped." Janus closed his eyes for a moment, sampling the feint powers that were still there, still Lucifer. "He could become something.... Great.... Unstoppable."
Shifting his gaze back to Noctis, the Sith indulged him. "Very well, we shall discuss this.... Civily as you wish. But.... Our patience is not infinite. Make your case quickly."
Hangar B, starboard flight deck, Manticore
Rain watched as the alien vessels finally opened up and released their passengers, giving rise to dozens of alien creatures as they marched in unison from their holds an onto the tarmac, before one of the warriors in a sleek silver uniform barked an order in a very guttural, almost unpleasant language that was unintelligible to the Captain's perceptions.
Like clockwork, the others at his command halted, snapping into formation. One of the aliens seemed to disobey his leader though, as he gave a nearby soldier a start when he growled and made vaguely aggressive motions towards him, forcing the soldier, who was decidedly shorter than any of the eight foot tall creatures in the room, to jump back a bit from his station. But the alien commander acted quickly, harshly disciplining the soldier by psychically striking him and forcing him to a knee where he was commanded to stay, almost as if he were an animal of some kind.
The most striking feature of the display, however, was the introduction of clear Basic into the alien's dialect. Rain was as equally stunned as she was relived. At least now they had a common ground from which to start, instead of trying to sort out the details of cultural relations through the obscure windows of dialect barriers.
As the commander approached her, he knelt humbly to a knee, introducing himself as "Ein Krieger Frieden füralle". A strange name to the Captain's mind, but obviously normal for his kind as the title rolled from him as easily as his next breath.
Eying the commander, and his soldiers, and even the larger one who had stepped from the other shuttle with a contingent of five other soldiers, Rain was at a loss for how to react. She had just gotten used to having a Skirran on board. Now this? One thing was for certain though, this galaxy seemed to be getting more and more crowded with strange species that she had never seen before.
Shifting her focus back to Kreiger, Captain Shelvey finally managed to answer him after several moments of awkward silence. "My leader is currently unavailable, Ein Krieger Frieden füralle," she said, trying to replicate the sounds of the alien tongue for herself, but finding it incredibly difficult on the first try. It was in that moment that she hoped Kreiger would not find her sad attempts to mimic his language offensive or crude.
"I am Captain Rain Shelvey, commander of the Manticore. I speak for him in his absence.... Might I inquire as to what brings you here?"

The Lieutenant handed one of the guardsmen a card key that allowed him access to the empire's vehicles, and took the smallest ship he could find. "I really do appreciate it, I'll bring her back eventually." he told the officer. He was given his card back, and given a salute before he took off.

Arson sadden at his first attempt to find a pilot however he expected such result by the encounter. He didn't want to waste anymore time so Arson moved on to more drastic measures. "In that case...There is only one use for you."
Arson gave a hard hit to the Corporal's neck, knocking the soldier down as well as knocking him unconcious. Crouching one knee beside the soldier, Arson took the Corporal's blaster and fired several times in the sky. Surely the sounds the blaster made would attract the Corporal's comrades. Arson quickly placed the blaster on the ground near the Corporal's hand. Fortunetly for Arson, the fog was still thick and so Arson lay hidden a few feet away from where the Corporal laid. Arson patiently awaited crouching low to the ground with hilts of a lightsaber in each of his hands.

Krieger was not taken aback by the female's use of his name, he was told to expect so much during the initial interaction between them as the name was just as foreign as its people.
"Captain Rain Shelvey, commander of the Manticore." He repeated the name in his mind committing it to memory holding a still silence for a moment the Zante remained grounded, Along with his men, and he would assume Ripa, whom he outranked, would follow suit. Before raising he did however reach, slowly taking care not to show dangerous intend, for his weapons removing them from each leg, the plasma rifle, and energy blade, which would be to humans along the lines of a blaster rifle, and a lightsaber, placing them flat on the ground ahead of him, like an offering of the peace he came to uphold.
"Captain Rain Shelvey, commander of the Manticore. I come here barring a message from my people." He rose to come face to face with her, however he happened to tower over the tiny human female by at least three feet causing his intention of coming eye to eye to look more like an indirect threat. He shook the thought hoping it would not be taken as such instead moving on with their real intention.
He was about to continue before the oddity that was human naming schemes struck him, Rank, Birth name, Clan name...Second rank? He picked at the notion for a moment that perhaps they did not give out tribe name, he knew their language but not their culture, which proved ignorant on his part, Krieger reforged his resolve to become accustomed to outside rituals.
"Captain Rain Shelvey, commander of the Manticore. We come with the desire to assist your... 'Empire', for the greater good of the galaxy. Me and my warriors intend absolutely no harm. i would like to engage in...how would you phrase it... negotiations, to barter a deal." Krieger spoke in a low respectful tone careful to leave dialect from his tongue out of the conversation.

Noctis stepped into file where Lucifer had stood prepping himself for the proposal, Lucifer was apart of it and Malum's interest in him might work as an additional bargaining chip in this high tension game of wits and words.
"Lucifer is remarkable is he not?" He offered the question in case the lord wanted to further expand upon his apparent fascination with his elder brother, Noctis had a momentary explosion of pride as he felt some responsibility in the potential Lucifer now exhibited. He left the air still for a few beats allowing a chance to reply, but afterward he continued.
"He is a part of this partnership i'd like to offer you. I face a dilemma, I lack a physical form, i have no body. Now i know there are ways to get back into a form of my own. Really its simple, I would like your training, for both me and Lu, in exchange for getting him as a weapon, and me under your command, you need to help me find a body and get into it." He left it at that standing up straight to hear the dark lord's response he felt his heart, weather or not it was real, begin to race anticipating the next words to fly across the empty space.

Rain held back a brief chuckle at the amusing recitation of her name, rank and the name of the ship she Captained. Apparently something similar to it was customary for naming among his people, and he had extended the same courtesy to her in his own ignorance of human culture. She couldn't blame him though, neither of their civilizations had heard of the other until now. At least she had never heard of them, while they seemed to know a great deal about the Empire already.
"Greater good?" She asked, a confused look playing over her features as Kreiger stood placed his weapons on the floor at her feet and rose from the floor, his bulky, armored frame standing well over three feet above herself.
It was an intimidating sight to say the least, but Rain held her ground as she always did. Years of prejudice and bigotry from Imperial commanders higher than herself had naturally hardened her against flat attempts at intimidation from her human contemporaries in the military. Even so, nothing could quite prepare one for trying to see "eye to eye" with.... Whatever Kreiger was. She would be lying to herself if she didn't feel at least slightly uneasy around him, but at least he claimed his intent to be "peaceful" for the time being.
"You wish to enter into negotiations with the Empire? What would our people have in common with one another? The galaxy has never seen your kind before.... At least as far as my knowledge goes."
Rain began to suspect that this may be another trick or secret that Janus had known all along but failed to let her in on. She had to admit that her trust in him had been shaken over the past few months. Between all of the secret missions, random schedules and surprise meetings from creatures she never knew existed, she began to wonder if he still trusted her, or if this was all part of a dream. A very surreal, very tangible dream.
"If you seek an alliance, I cannot speak on behalf of the Empire. However, I can offer you a stay aboard the Manticore until Lord Malum returns."
Temple of the Ancients: Antechamber
"A body, hmm.... You seek to begin this life in the flesh again." Janus allowed a twisted smirk to dominate his features, the empty eyes of his visage seeming to almost have a momentary spark of life to them as he processed Noctis' offer.
"Yes, the Dark Side is powerful.... It can do this for you, and so much more." Pulling his black leather gloves tight over his hands, Janus flexed his fingers in the dim light, "we were like you once.... A mind divided by boundaries. Boundaries we did not understand, boundaries that barred us from our true destiny in life.... But the Emperor showed us otherwise. He liberated our minds, molded them into one.... A desire all the same now, we have power beyond what was ever dreamed."
Janus approached Noctis, stepping through the light. Narrowing his gaze on the man, the brim of his officer cap casting a dim shadow over his eyes which had suddenly changed color to that of a pale yellow, Janus again analyzed him. "There is something to you, something more.... A burden that weighs on your shoulders and stays your feet on the path to true power...."
He meditated on this thought for only a moment, before brushing it off with a thoughtful huff as he returned to the crux of their meeting. "I believe there is a place for your kind here in the Empire. Your aura is dark, your heart.... Pure."
The last word was delivered with some surprise on the Sith's part as he was constantly analyzing his guest, never resting until he had satisfied his thirst for knowledge. "We shall test those limits.... In time. For now.... Well, you should think of proving your worth to us."
The figure of Janus lingered for a moment longer, stepping back into the shadows where his eyes again reverted back to their natural state of being little more than black orbs. He would await any further comments Noctis may have, before leaving his mind to return to other matters.
Outside the Temple of the Ancients
Several blaster shots rang out through the jungle, forcing the Sergeant and his men to snap their attention in the direction from which they had originated. Reaching a hand to his ear piece, the Sergeant tried to raise the Corporal on his comms.
"Corporal, report!" Static answered him before he repeated his demand for a reply, "Corporal, come in! Now!" Again, only silence came back to him.
Looking back over his shoulder to a pair of his soldiers who had heard the shots as well, their bodies instinctively frozen in combat ready stances, the Sergeant gave them a slight motion with his head for them to follow him. Together the three men moved towards the last known location of the Corporal, finding the man laying on the forest floor.
"Is he...." One of the troopers whispered.
"Shut it." The Sergeant sharply interrupted as he knelt down and placed two fingers on the troopers neck. "He's still alive, just out cold. You two, get him back to the temple perimeter. I'm going to see about this myself."
The soldiers collected their comrade from the forest floor and began lugging him back to their squad's position, as the Sergeant moved off into the brush and trees alone in search of the Corporal's attacker.

Ripa knelt down at the right time, still later than everyone else. He watched as his commander gave up his weapons, which he thought wasn't the smartest move. He lived by his weapons, and wouldn't give them up unless commanded to directly.
Of course, he never seemed to carry any weapons. No energy sword or plasma rifle was on his legs. He didn't hardly use a rifle, but he knew how. He always found it better to meet your opponents head on, and watch the light leave their eyes as he wrung them through with his own lightsabers.
Slowly, Ripa's commander rose to his feet, standing over the petty human. Thay reeked to the Zante, but that was because he only could stand the stench of battle. It was what he lived for,
It took but a moment for Ripa to grow tired of being on this ship. He wanted action, and to kill someone. His right hand twiched, ever so slightly. It was just a curl of two fingers, very slight, a sign of either adgitation or possibly a threat, though it was neither. He just wanted get out of here, head to a planet, and kill.

Krieger was taken aback momentarily by Rain's apparent ignorance in regards to the greater good, surely humans followed it, did they not? He had recalled one time hearing something about what they consider good, justice, righteousness, what did they refer to it as? good side, Right side, nice side, bright side? It had some tie to their force that much he knew for a certainty, He would not try and use their phrase due to concern of utilizing the wrong terminology when it came to it, he did not want to come off as a fool. Instead he would explain in brief detail the greater good.
"The greater good, Captain Rain Shelvey, commander of the Manticore. Is that which every Zacynthus strives to archive in order to bring peace to chaos, calm to madness, tranquility to atrocity. I am sure you humans' aim toward a similar goal, your Empire it has become victim to horrendous lies if our network of informants are current. Sick accusations associating you with evil acts, going so far as to say your leader, this Cain, is affiliated with undesirable types. It all came off as the obvious ploy for support, and by accretion serving only to extend the warfare, that it clearly was intended to be." He stopped for the moment having both explained their intend and expanded, however slightly, on what they stood for.
When Rain comment on the fact that she could not speak on behave of their empire Krieger was not totally surprised, he did speak for his people on this occasion but he did not always bare such a responsibility and did not expect the first human to have such powers. He did show a Zante's equivalent to confusion when Rain breached the subject of this. "Lord Malum" figure, several question instantaneously found a place in his mind, amongst them were such trivial things as, again human naming methods, as his did not fit with Rain's. To more pressing topics like where this figure factored in when it came to chain of command.
Krieger however would leave the subject on tapped instead allowing his mind to play with ideas of this other human, what he looked, sounded, and acted like, moving on to the welcome offer to stay aboard this vessel until he arrived. he nodded solemnly at the proposal before reply to it.
"We shall be honored to await your leaders advent aboard your ship, if it does not impose of course." He offered the cautious chance to reconsider the statement almost certain the human would not retract the offer, but if she did then he would just as easily order his troops back into the transport and await from there, which might not be a bad idea considering the tension he sensed, without the force, flowing off Ripa whom could not control himself whatsoever it appeared.
Temple of the Ancients, Antechamber, Chamber of solace.
Noctis stilled his footing remaining as statue like as possibly in the presence of the sith lord. He had a little experience with sith in his life, which gave him a degree of knowledge in regard to what he may attempt, but Noctis would be fooling himself if he truly believe there was not a twinge of fear coursing through his veins as Malum continued to evaluate him, his stature, stance, and surely much more. This incarnation of the mighty sith was a far cry from his real world counterpart. Subtle lines in his sick smile showed the years of experience, or side effect of the dark side, the man welt at his disposal.
In all technicalities Noctis was a defunct being, yet he was tempted to flee as Malum tightened his glove worried that it was possible he was even stronger then Noctis had expected and crushing an entity within another’s mind was well within his range of abilities. But instead he began speaking as if he represented a group of individuals, we in place of I, he spoke of how they were like he and Lucifer, two minds one physical being. And he hinted at his vast reserves of power, possible a lure to tempt him even more with the desire to gain this same strength.
As Malum stepped closer the urge to again flee ran a spell over him, but Noctis knew running would not work. Instead he remained listening to him as he went into a more in-depth analyzation gauging his strengths and weaknesses, and definitely things like his hope, and fears. Malum commented on a burden one which Noctis had a vague idea in credence too. He would continue to eventually remark on his place in the empire, stating there was one, aura, spirit, soul, one of darkness, his heart…pure, which came as a shock to him, what did that foretell. Noctis could almost tell Malum was as surprised as he at the observation. To close Malum foreshadowed a challenge Noctis, or more precisely put, Lucifer would have to face. Before reacting Noctis just noticed Malum’s eyes revert to black from what was a sinister yellow, one he missed initially, how?
“We will accept your test. But until then what would you have me, us, do?”

Arson stood behind the Sergeant as his subordinates dragged their comrade away. Arson watched the Sergeant as the soldier was looking out into the forest, searching for the person who assualted the Corporal. Arson had his lightsabers crossed at his chest before presenting himself to the Sereant.
"Behind you..." Arson let his words linger until it reached the Sergeant's ears. "When in a pack it is better to stick together, especially under unfavorable conditions." Arson remained where he was, calm, determined and patient.

Hangar B, starboard flight decks, Manticore
"The greater good, Captain Rain Shelvey, commander of the Manticore. Is that which every Zacynthus strives to archive in order to bring peace to chaos, calm to madness, tranquility to atrocity. I am sure you humans' aim toward a similar goal, your Empire it has become victim to horrendous lies if our network of informants are current. Sick accusations associating you with evil acts, going so far as to say your leader, this Cain, is affiliated with undesirable types. It all came off as the obvious ploy for support, and by accretion serving only to extend the warfare, that it clearly was intended to be."
Rain thought to correct Kreiger, her own personal experiences with the Empire having done a great deal in the past to sway her opinion of them as far away from the image of the victim as one could get. Ultimately though, her loyalty to the fleet, and to Janus, proved strong enough to overwhelm any thought of treachery. A choice she came to enjoy as it eventually culminated in a military career well beyond what she had set out to accomplish. Yet, at other times she regretted the choice and wondered how much of life she was really missing because of her ties to the Empire. Still, she was not of the mind to turn Kreiger or his troopers away.
"You and your men may wait here in this hangar until Lord Malum returns. However, let it be known that I will be watching you." She had hoped not to come off as too demanding, but this was Janus' ship, and it fell to her to protect it in his absence. A task she did not intend to fail at.
"Lieutenant," she said, turning to face Harkness as she gave him a quick nod, which was reciprocated by the XO in quick fashion before Rain took her leave from the hangar and left Harkness to deploy a security detail to watch over and secure the hangar bay.
Temple of the Ancients, Antechamber
"The Empire has many enemies," Janus began, "if you seek to prove your worth to us, you will aid us in destroying them in the name of the Emperor. Our fleet shall be departing this...." A sneer formed on Janus' face as he thought of the world outside the temple, "wretched planet soon enough. If you truly believe yourself worthy, you are welcomed to show us."
A moment later, Lord Malum ceased his mental invasion of Lucifer's thoughts, retreating from the man's mind. Inhaling a deep breath as he came out of his meditative state, the Dark Lord eyed Lucifer once more, feeling very little in spite of the claims he had just made. In truth, Lucifer's failure or success meant nothing to him in the end, but Malum was keen on testing any avenue at least once. If he could strengthen the Empire's ranks, no matter how small that contribution may seem, he will have gained yet another pawn for his Master to command on the board.
Turning his attention back to the Adjutant and his guards, whom had slipped the Sith Lord's thoughts during the "meeting" with Lucifer, he addressed the Adjutant once again.
"I trust your fleet has everything well in hand here?"
The Adjutant and his guards, still trying to decipher what it was they had just seen, was slow to respond, but did finally manage to answer. "Yes.... I believe we do."
Malum narrowed his vision on the Skirran from behind the darkened visor of his helm. The words seemed insincere now, almost untrustworthy. This kind of display was exactly what the Dark Lord had wanted to avoid from the very beginning, considering that it would cast a fair deal of doubt upon his position and intentions. Still, he sensed that the Adjutant, though suitably confused, was remaining at least mostly loyal, if not a bit reserved.
"Then I shall await for your contact once again." There was a brief lull in the room before Malum turned quickly and strode from the antechamber. Perhaps Lucifer would heed his invitation, perhaps not. Either way, it was of little consequence at the moment for the Sith Lord.
Outside the Temple of the Ancients
Hearing the voice filter to him through the trees, the Sergeant spun quickly, training his rifle on a shadowy figure that had managed to sneak up on him.
"Identify yourself!" He shouted, loud enough where his squad mates could be alerted, as he trained the light from his rifle on the man before him, illuminating a pair of lightsabers clasped tightly over his chest.
The Sergeant's breath caught and he swallowed uncomfortably as his palms began to sweat against the grip of his rifle.

Arson saw the fear in the soldier's eyes. The flash of light momentarly blinded Arson's vision but soon returned as the Sergeant hesitaited to fire his weapon. As the light equiped on Sergeant's rifle was on Arson, he wasn't able to clearly see the soldier. Nevertheless Arson felt he was still under control of the situation. Still, the shout earlier made by the Sergeant would no doubt will bring the return of his comrades. Arson would have to make this quick hopefully it could not end the same it did with the Corporal.
"Among your pack, I assume you lead them?" Arson said observing the order the Sergeant gave concerning the Corporal. "I seek a meeting with the Dark Lord. Therefore you will take me to him to Coruscant where he is rumored to be."

Krieger was unsurprised at the human's reluctance to let them any further in the ship, he would extent the same amount of caution should an unknown species make contact with his race and barge about his ship. He agreed to Rain's limitation in the form of a simple nod. He turned to face his warriors in sync with Rain, whom began to speak with her "Lieutenant".
"Raise warriors, we will dwell in their hanger as requested, i expect no disobedience from any of you." He left out what the disciplinary actions would be if one of them did step out of line as was done earlier, allowing them to play with images and possibilities he himself might never have considered.
He took a special point to direct his attention toward Ripa and his fellow combatants, krieger did not know why such a blood hungry and battle thirsting beast would be sent on a mission of diplomacy, whatever the reasoning Krieger needed to keep him on a short leash, or put down this dog.
He returned to the transport momentarily to update the mission file so that his higher ups would be aware of what was happening.

Still deep within the recesses of Lucifer’s mind he and Noctis had a momentary clash of opinion over the details that had been discussed between the young Noctis and Malum. Lucifer stood in the same room, if that was what it could be considered, the meet took place in, Noctis having already explained the jest of it to him, now they just moved onto the actually subject matter.
“I don’t like it.” He protested giving no real reason not to go along with the plan as it was presented.
“You need your memory’s, pal, we both need to brush up on our skills, Malum is the answer.” Noctis returned smooth and silk to the sometimes unreasonable Lucifer, whom didn’t enjoy the notion of following a Sith’s orders, But Noctis knew he would learn to live with it, even enjoy it.
“I…. I guess, for now, but this is by no means a permanent fixture.” He assured before they too breached the gap back into the physical world, within only a few seconds of Malum’s departure. Lucifer settling back into the realm of reality nicely, no complications. He instantly noticed Malum, his new master, speaking with the aliens from before. Lucifer followed after Malum remaining a few paces behind him, awaiting what might come as an early snap test.
