Outside the Temple of the Ancients
A few of the men from the squad took notice of their Sergeant's raised voice sounding out from the distant jungles. Nerves were set on edge and weapons were primed in anticipation of a hostile contact that they all expected to come bursting through the tree line at any moment, ready to lay waste to their numbers.
"Should we go see if...." One of the men started up.
"No, the Sarge said to wait here. Besides, I wouldn't want to make that Sith angry. God only knows what he could do to us. We were told to man this post, and that's what we're going to do." Another quickly cut in, interrupting his comrade mid thought.
With the Corporal still unconscious and the Sergeant currently indisposed, organization and discipline were gradually beginning to crack amid the small band of troopers. A fact that was not helped much at all by the eerie still of the evening on Lehon.
"I heard he can make you see things that aren't really there and force you to go mad with just a wave of his hand." Another of the soldiers added in, his words clearly nervous as he glanced from the distant jungles towards the camp behind him.
"That's all just here-say," The PFC assured. "I'm sure there's more propaganda to Malum than anything else."
The soldier's comments were ended with a sudden sharp gasp and an unintelligible gargling as he clutched at an invisible hand that had been suddenly thrown up around his neck. In spite of their horror upon seeing the invisible assault on their fellow trooper, the other men of the group formed into a hasty formation and offered a sharp salute to a dark robed figure slowly emerging from the shadows of the temple entrance and into the pale, white-blue moonlight outside.
"Propaganda, you say?" Malum growled from behind the soldier, "I can assure you that there is truth in every bit of what you have heard. Consider yourself lucky that you have been assigned to my command.... The Emperor is not as forgiving a I am." With a sneer, he released the hapless soldier from his grasp and left him gasping on the forest floor as he approached the small group of soldiers.
One of the men, trembling, dropped to a knee before the Dark Lord, his tall, armored figure looming over him as he spoke. "My Lord.... We...."
"Enough with your petty words and apologies," Lord Malum sharply interrupted, "I am aware of the disturbance on this planet. It has grown bolder since I arrived it seems...." He looked over the soldier to stare at the jungles. It was still out there, closer now, coming to him as more than a mere sensation. Now it was a true force that he could almost see and touch for himself. "You men have done well in luring this presence to me. Now prove that you are still worthy and hunt this thing down."
The soldier looked up to the Sith Lord, stunned in disbelief. But he dared not oppose Lord Malum's will. Not after the display they had all been the unwilling audience of. Bowing his head again, the trooper replied. "Yes, my Lord.... As you wish."
Hauling himself up from the ground, the soldier glanced to the others in his squad and gave them an uneasy nod before the six of them set off into the forests on what was sure to be a suicide mission.
As his troopers moved off into the jungles, Malum felt the presence of Lucifer approach him. Looking over his shoulder, the Dark Lord addressed him, "Go with them.... Bring this creature to me alive, or do not bother to return."

Ripa stood when commanded to. Diplomacy wasn't his strongest suite, and there was no reason for him to be send here. Whatever the reason, the higher-ups must have a good reason for doing what they did.
Maybe they chose him and his group because of this 'Lord Malum' guy was as ruthless as they were, and perhaps just as bloodthirsty. It only mattered that they were here now, and couldn't fight any of these men. The only way he could is if this meeting failed horribly.
Ripa's burning, evil orange eyes scanned everyone in the hanger, taking in the sites one last time. With a sharp clack of his mandibles, an equivalent of a shrug, he led the way back into his dropship. When the last of his Zante's were on board, the door snapped shut, and they were alone.

Arson could clearly hear the footsteps of the Sergeant's companions coming. He decided to change tactics. It was time to play cat and mouse, Arson being the cat. He leaped towards the Sergeant, activating his crimson lightsabers twirling them as he was in air. One of his lightsaber touched the ground as it skidded against the dirt, making small chunks of wet dirt fly at the Sergeant.
This was but a diversion, ready to deflect any shots that would be fired at Arson. He made a sharp turn to the left into the forest leaving a red beacon of light surround by black abyss. After dashing away from the sergeant for a minute, he deactivated his lightsabers and hopped unto a tree climbing it. He would be above his enemies. Arson crouching low on a tree branch decided to go back hopefully running into his chasers which should surprise them. Dashing through the trees Arson tried to listen carefully as to where his pursuers were.

Outside the Temple of the Ancients
"Yes my lord/" Noctis reminded from behind Lucifer as he caught the order only moments before Lucifer did. He simply brushed aside the recommendation without a though and moved on.
Lucifer had heard Malum's order without even utilizing the effort to catching the words, he had moved directly to the side of the man and remained a steady three paces there. While he was aware of the proper way to address him Lucifer choose to answer with a short nod of his head before springing into action.
He extended his senses, something he had worked on earlier with his brother to restore to a certain degree, and felt several presences amidst the planet's jungle. The trick to locating someone with the force was to recognize what kind of aura they would have. Lucifer would wager that, considering the fact that he not only dashed into the tree line after an attack, but was also wielding a lightsaber he had to have some kind of link with the force, which would translate into a larger presence then the soldiers, and the method would prove to be right as he sensed a large beacon of energy, untamed as it may have been, emanating from the tops of the trees.
He took off heading skyward two large powerful brown wings carrying him over the jungle until he was above the target, at which point he dove down flipping to extend a leg in place of a fist for what would be, if he was fortunate, an open and closing attack. The strike if it hit should be near center mass with penty of force behind it to knock the interudor out of the tree if not out cold.

Arson's eyes remained on the round, waiting. As he did, he felt something was wrong, something was out of place. His eyes scanned left and right but saw nothing was out of the ordinarily. A few seconds later he heard flapping of wings. For a moment Arson thought it was a native bird passing by. He would have ignored it, but his training on using all his senses were automatic and so narrowed on to the sound. Slowly he noticed that the sounds of the wings were that of a large bird....coming towards him.
Arson quickly turned around looking above him. Descending down was a winged man the likes Arson never seen before. The winged man was charging at Arson, his legs first into a flying kick. It was an attack on Arson. Arson had a short amount of time to analyze the situation and this strange being.
Arson leaped off the branch and straight up in the air just in time to avoid the winged man's assult. Arson looked into his opponent's eyes. In mid air, they were so close to each other. Time seemed to have stopped or at least slowed down by a few seconds. The winged man passed by as Arson was leaping over him.
When the winged man completly passed Arson as he was going to fast to simply halt from his charge in the air, Arson was falling rapidly to the ground. When he landed Arson turned to the direction to where the winged man would have been. But he was out of sight due to the vast trees and heavy fog. From first glance of his oppenent, Arson knew his enemy had the advantage of being above him. He didn't want to use his lightsabers yet as they it will give the winged man knowledge of his where abouts but was prepared to use them.

The Sergeant stumbled, throwing a hand over his face to shield his eyes from the bits of sod and shower of dirt Arson had launched his way during his evasion maneuvers. Losing sight of the man, the Sergeant, acting more on instinct than anything, fired a few stray shots in the general direction of Arson only moments before he was temporarily blinded. The shots rang out through the trees, but failed to connect with anything living, unless one wanted to count trees and leaves.
Seconds later, six of his squad mates burst through the thick undergrowth nearby, their weapons trained forward as they fanned out in a search pattern. Lights darted all over the forest as the squad made a fruitless attempt to locate their assailant.
"Sarge, you alright?" A familiar voice piped in.
"Yeah, yeah, I'm good," he answered, coughing and spitting back some of the chunks of dirt and grime that had managed to find their way into his mouth. "Any visual?"
"None on our way in, sir." The soldier replied.
"Keep your guard up, this bastard is crafty." The Sergeant cautioned, regaining his composure to join his men on the search through the dense fog and tangled web of vines and trees.
Lord Malum meanwhile, having heard the shots from the forest, watched Lucifer take to the air and execute a failed aerial attack against his intended target. The pair were hard to miss, rising well above the tree line, lingering in the dim moonlight for only a moment or two as they confronted each other in mid-air. And yet even this brief moment offered the Dark Lord little in the way of information on the other being who had stalked him through the jungles to the temple. But his questions would be answered in time. Either Lucifer would bring this creature to him, or he would see to it personally.
Taking his eyes off of the spectacle as Lucifer's target sank back beneath the canopy of trees, Malum turned his attentions back to other matters, leaving Lucifer to deal with his mission as the Sith Lord began to enter a state of deep meditation. Closing his eyes and exhaling a deep breath, Malum began to tap into the primal energy of the world around him, using it to attune himself to the location of most living creatures. More specifically, those with exceptionally strong ties to the Force.

Lucifer's opening attack was met swiftly by the night stalker's ascension into the air. To match this he launched off of the branch of the tree going into a spin as he landed on the jungle floor, immediately propelling himself forward toward Arson after the man landed directing a powerful elbow to his center body, should it hit. The ruffling of the two through the forest caused several winged creatures to take flight.
After the initial attack, regardless if it struck or not, Lucifer proceed to take to the sky again as he aimed one hand down in the area Arson was in, grabbing his right wrist with his left hand, Lucifer released a powerful force wave down which would give something akin to increased gravity on that spread of lehon. The attack caused several trees to fall and formed a small creator around the area.

The winged man was quick to return. His attack seemed faster this time, but Arson was ready for it. The strange being tossed his elbow in front of him to hit Arson in the chest area. Arson put both his hands in front of him as it made contact with his enemy. The sheer force of the attack propelled Arson a few feet. Arson felt that this wasn't the winged man's true intent as a final attack.
This proved true as the winged man took flight to the sky. Arson's assumption of the winged man was correct. His opponent seemed to relay on the sky as his advantage. Arson stared up, barely seeing what his attacker was doing. He saw that the winged man was motioning his hands but before Arson knew it, the trees were rapidly blowned down by an unforeseen force.
Arson bent his knees and dashed away from the attack, he heard behind him a large boom. Unknown to him, it created a large crater which sent a aftermath wave of the winged man's attack. The powerful wind caught up to Arson and carried him up a few feet in the air until he hit the ground hard. Arson was confused for a moment, mostly at awe by the strange being's strange powers.
Arson stood up, his back slighting in pain but it was nothing he couldn't handle. He remembered his former master using such abilities on some occasions. It was the power he was seeking for himself. Arson did not enough information on his attacker to make a succesful counterattack. So Arson decided to taunt the winged man into a indirect fight as Arson ran off, away from the winged man and towards back to the ancient temple. The trees would give Arson good cover for awhile.

The air around him slowly quieted down as the sounds of frightened fauna slowly dissipated into the wind. The battle taking place between Lucifer and the other being in the forest was painting an accurate picture of each of their abilities to the Dark Lord. Though he had only glimpsed Lucifer's intended quarry, Malum had concluded that the other one must be of sufficient power to sense, then successfully counter act such a surprise attack against him. And Lucifer seemed to be no real slouch either, though his tactics were far from subtle or unobtrusive to the world around him. A raging tempest of emotion that one was, battling inside his own mind, one mind struggling to control the other.
Two minds set apart, one uncertain and lost, the other striving for control and dominance. It reminded the Sith Lord of his earlier days when he was so much younger. Back when he was but a mere man, back when he was weak, back before Lord Cain had forced him to adapt or die. If played properly, Lucifer would make a most potent Apprentice to carry on the legacy of the Sith some day. Perhaps even become powerful enough to.... No. That is not possible. Lord Malum forced the distracting ruminations from his mind and instead focused himself exclusively on the events surrounding him.
As he returned to his meditations, finding Lucifer and the other easily on the planet, Malum could see the other man dodging through the forest.... Heading in his direction. This was almost too perfect, and Malum could not help but allow a satisfied smirk to cross his features beneath his helm as he began to reach forward into the Force, tapping, subtly at first, into Arson's surface thoughts and emotions.
What he found there was almost exquisite. Anger, hatred, bitter regret. A solid foundation for the Dark Side. A foundation that the Dark Lord would shape and mold into an awesome force of vengeance. Just barely acting on Arson, Malum found a memory that was still fresh on Arson's mind.... His old Master. Working as subtly as possible in the young man's mind, the Sith Lord conjured false words from Arson's master, words that would echo in his head and perhaps cause him to slow down or stop all together.
"You are a weak fool, boy! Running from a fight! How pathetic are you?! You don't deserve to leave this planet alive."

A frozen shot of surprise coursed through Lucifer as Arson managed to avoid the telekinetic blast that rocked the surrounding location crushing the flora as if a giant boot rained down. Lucifer felt a sudden strike on his right shoulder and as he looked over noticed Noctis aside him pointing to the distance low left.
"What are you waiting for?" He asked rhetorically Lucifer taking off toward Arson as he scanned through a couple of possible tactics to use against the man. Again Noctis appeared to his right keeping pace almost effortlessly with him.
"Why not try and blow him out of hiding with some more telekinesis, seriously seems to be something you've taken to." Lucifer gave a stern nod to his brother as he turned his attention back to the ground. he made a pouching motion at the ground and within a second dirt, rocks, scraps of trees and anything else in the immediate three meter radius launched into the air. He shrugged, seemed to work.
Lucifer did several more pouching motions, albeit they were not what one would call "Accurate." the barrage would serve to show his enemy's position with luck, and from there he would continue with his orders. After the initial seven or so large patches where trees were not clustered the field and more would only be paved as Lucifer seemed to be aiming to clear out the entire forest, weather he realized that or not.

Arson continued to dash towards the temple. It was quiet, something was wrong. Arson ran a steady pace, eyeing his surroundings in case he might be right. As he ran he heard a similar voice speaking to him.
"You are a weak fool, boy! Running from a fight! How pathetic are you?! You don't deserve to leave this planet alive."
Arson halted in to a slow stopped. Arson was in deep thought as he watched round about. The voice, it was his deceased master. "Weak you say? Was it not you who said to study my opponent? And now you tell othe-" A loud blast interrupted Arson as a wave crashed against him sending him flying through the wet ground.
Arson quickly got up from the ground, another blast to his right. Another wave came his way but his time Arson dodged it by hiding behind the tree from the powerful wind. Arson tried to analyze the information but the impression of his dead master still lingered in his mind. “No, if I was weak. I would have died by now. I will show you. You’ve trained me to be a deadly foe.”
Arson ran towards the ancient temple once again. More explosions were heard but they were further. Arson noticed that the attacks were random so he had to be careful as an invisible attack might come his way. Arson would taunt the winged man with a indirect fight. He was near the temple now and soon to an open area. He would prove his master wrong but he still needed to find a edge to take down the winged man.

Malum had Arson heading down the road he had most wanted for the young pupil. He was arguing with the specters of his past, engaging in a mental battle while trying to hold ground in the physical duel with Lucifer.
"Weak you say? Was it not you who said to study my opponent? And now you tell othe-"
Arson was interrupted as Lucifer unleashed another assault on him, leveling more trees and obliterating the jungle with his inaccurate, yet powerful telekinetic blasts. Between Arson's evasive tactics, Lucifer's assault and the Dark Lord's own manipulations, this fight should be over in a few short moments.
"No, if I was weak. I would have died by now. I will show you. You’ve trained me to be a deadly foe."
Arson continued his mental battle with the disembodied voice of his former Master, causing a thin smile to play on the Sith Lord's features. This was going far better than expected. Refocusing himself in Arson's mind, Malum responded to the claims.
"Show me? You will show me? You could never impress me. It burns inside, eating away at you.... You are blinded by your bitter hate. so focused on your petty grudge that you do not see the truth approaching you."
As suddenly as the Dark Lord had invaded Arson's mind, he left, sensing the young man's approach on his position through the jungles. Reaching to his saber, Malum gripped the weapon firmly in hand and held it at his side, ready to challenge the new arrival when he came through the tree line.

Lucifer continued his destructive assault on the environment below as slowly the field started to resemble something that one might expect to see after a battle between hundreds, not two. Debris had been scattered throughout, trees splintered and torn, while others had been launched straight from the root into the air crashing back to the ground with a powerful roar. Lucifer didn't seem to notice the carnage staying entirely and completely focused on his foe, the attacks getting nearer with every blast as he gradually gained a fixture on Arson through the force, the loss of nature life possibly making the task easier.
"There, he is right there!" Noctis called to him seemingly picking out the creature from the other insects on the planet. And Noctis did not lie, with a moments concentration Lucifer too plucked the running figure out of the bits of green from the trees and brown from the shaken ground. Lucifer decided to switch things up and choose to summon several of the larger trees he'd knock about to the sky around him, the task consuming more energy then originally anticipated by the Mitsukai, he did however manage to handle it.
"good idea, Lu, gotta keep things fresh." Noctis told him encouraging the attack from behind him, Though he would not admit it Noctis presence did have an odd calming effect on him that allowed him to better think and concentrate on the current assignment placed in front of him. Lucifer pointed ahead toward the probable location Arson would end up in the time it took for the Trees to reach it, after only the seconds that passed between his propelling of the limber it found solid earth crushing down on the intended area with several harsh booms the sound reminiscent of an earth quake. Weather or not Arson was under it would be a matter of how skilled at detection of flying objects he was., and of course how quickly he could react to them.

"Show me? You will show me? You could never impress me. It burns inside, eating away at you.... You are blinded by your bitter hate. So focused on your petty grudge that you do not see the truth approaching you."
The voice of Otho Tekoa returned. Arson’s mind shaken by his words. Was his hate truly blinding him. Arson had to concentrate on the predicament he was under and not his master’s bothersome comments. He remembered often his master scolding him during his tasks. This was no different. Arson had finally reached the Temple but there stood a lone figure in the middle of the open fogged field. The figure wore strange dark armor. It stood there as if he knew Arson would be coming.
Was he in league with the winged man? It would be safe to assume so. Even if it wasn’t the case, Arson would view everyone as the enemy. Because of Malum’s mind assault which Arson was completely unaware of; trees that were possessed under the winged man’s control were tossed at Arson. He could hear the rustling of the leaves on the trees and the violent wind it produced.
Arson turned his attention away from the armored man and to the flying trees. The first tree, Arson jumped head on and leap to the second tree using his lightsabers. The crimson hue his weapon gave off illuminated the field. Unfortunately Arson wasn’t able to successfully evade the third tree. The tree scraped his right leg as he tried to jump over it. Normally Arson would have easily dodged them if it wasn’t for Lord Malum.
Arson managed to land on the ground and kept his balance. One of his lightsabers faced the armored man, the other held above Arson facing the winged man whom came to Arson’s view. Arson hoped by now the winged man’s incredible attacks might have exhausted him to a point. Arson took the time to think over a plan but for now it wasn’t in his favor. He had two opponents, not to mention the soldiers lurking around, injured in his right leg though Arson easily ignored it as the injury wasn’t severe. Arson kept his mind calm, a struggle but was able to do so.

Lucifer had done well thus far to keep Arson on the run, herding the young pupil in the exact direction Lord Malum had wanted. His telekinetic fury had not only leveled half of the forest, but it had turned his surroundings into a weapon, which he utilized with extreme accuracy to strike a glancing blow to Arson as he broke the tree line and entered into the clearing in front of the temple.
He would commend his new Apprentice later for his actions, but now the Dark Lord had to focus himself on the new potential that he had found in Arson Zor. For such a young man to fight two simultaneous battles in his mind and still maintain enough physical endurance to keep up with Lucifer, it gave Malum hope for both of them as future Sith.
Tightening his grip on the inactive hilt of his saber, Lord Malum addressed Arson. "You are stronger than you would appear, boy. I wonder how you would stand against the full power of the Dark Side."
As the Sith Lord finished his sentence, a free hand shot forward towards arson, his fingers spread wide as arcs of lightning snapped and cracked from his fingertips, streaking through the air towards arson as it illuminated the dense fog shrouding the land in a pale azure hue.
